Antisemitism in America remains at historically elevated levels, and I keep hearing the same response: "It won't happen here." Jewish history makes those words incredibly difficult for me to dismiss. I'm not saying America is Nazi Germany. I'm saying Jews have repeatedly convinced ourselves that our country would somehow be different.
