Transcript [00:00] I've said it many times, I will say it [00:01] again. Islam is not compatible with the [00:04] West. Islam is a political system. And [00:06] I'll say it again. Not all Muslims are [00:09] devotees of Islam in the nature of a [00:12] political system, but Islam as a [00:13] political philosophy is not compatible [00:15] with the West. Now, Bill Maher has been [00:16] incredibly consistent on the true threat [00:18] of Islam. His monologue from Real Time [00:20] last Friday hit the nail on the head [00:21] again. As for the rest of the Democrats, [00:23] well, they're either totally asleep at [00:24] the wheel or they're teaching young [00:26] Americans that Bin Laden was one of the [00:28] good guys. Speaking of Muslims who [00:30] actually do hate America, could Ilhan [00:32] Omar be deported or jailed for marrying [00:34] her brother allegedly? We'll also be [00:35] joined by Dan Baui, a Muslim apostate to [00:38] talk about the theological reasons why [00:40] Islam does not jive with Western values [00:41] in just one second. Here we go. Over the [00:43] weekend, the broadscale conversation of [00:46] which our new movie Run Hide Fight [00:47] Infidels is is very much a part about [00:49] the state of Islam in the world [00:52] continued. Bill Maher did a pretty [00:54] astonishing segment on Real Time on HBO [00:56] in which he talked about Democrats [00:58] talking about 9/11 and the Gaza war and [01:00] not really understanding what the hell [01:02] they're talking about fighting people [01:04] who hate freedom of religion and hate [01:06] homosexuals and hate the idea of women [01:09] as equal and free humans. How did [01:12] liberals wind up on their side? And many [01:15] did. One in five young Americans now has [01:18] a positive view of Osama bin Laden. He's [01:20] like Luigi Manion in a turban. [01:32] You hear it in a lot of places now that [01:34] the worst thing about 9/11 was innocent [01:36] Muslims came under suspicion. Yeah, [01:39] where that did happen, it's wrong. But [01:41] the worst thing about 9/11 was 3,000 [01:45] people got roasted at the office. But [01:47] the prevailing view of so many young [01:49] people is that, well, come on, we're the [01:52] worst country ever. So, if someone [01:53] attacks us, they can't be all bad. That [01:56] certainly wasn't the attitude 25 years [01:58] ago. In fact, I know a guy whose show [02:00] got cancelled just for saying the [02:02] terrorists weren't cowards. [02:06] And and [02:12] that guy was right. They weren't [02:14] carriage. But I'll tell you who is [02:16] Democratic Party politicians. And I'll [02:18] tell you why. Because nowhere has this [02:21] moral confusion become more obvious than [02:24] in a place called Gaza. A little strip [02:26] of land that was not part of the [02:28] original Israel, but which they won in a [02:31] war launched against them, but then gave [02:33] back. Gave back as a peace gesture. Did [02:37] they tell you that part on Tik Tok, [02:38] kids? [02:40] >> Again, he is right about this. Bill [02:41] Maher has always been crystal clear [02:43] about the threat of Islam as a [02:45] philosophy. Again, I will say it for the [02:46] thousandth time. For those in the back, [02:49] making the point that Islam and its [02:51] belief system are not consiliatory with [02:54] that of the West does not mean all [02:55] Muslims are bad or that no Muslim can be [02:57] a good Western citizen. Islam is a [02:59] political philosophy everywhere it is [03:01] applied. Everywhere is a philosophy that [03:05] inhibits all of the things that make the [03:07] West great. Islam inhibits freedom of [03:10] religion. It inhibits freedom of speech, [03:12] inhibits free markets, inhibits all [03:13] sorts of things. [03:15] The the notion that if you criticize [03:18] Islam as a political philosophy or note [03:20] that Islam, as Sam Huntington, the [03:23] author of Clash of Civilizations, put [03:24] it, that Islam has both bloody borders [03:26] and bloody innards, which is true [03:28] geopolitically, that if you note that [03:29] that's Islamophobia, [03:32] this is it's nonsense and it needs to be [03:34] fought. It especially needs to be fought [03:37] because again it is part and parcel of a [03:38] broader argument now being made in the [03:39] west that as Bill Mahar correctly notes [03:41] is America sucks so whoever attacks it [03:43] is good which is trash. One of the [03:46] people making that point of course is [03:48] who's out there saying that the [03:51] only reason people care about 911 is [03:53] because they are being forced to care [03:54] about 911. I don't know some of us kind [03:56] of care about it because we don't like [03:57] when our fellow Americans get murdered. [03:59] We're not huge on it actually. But [04:02] again, that that sentence included the [04:04] phrase our fellow Americans. I'm not [04:06] sure that Hassan ought to be [04:07] counted in that particular phrase. [04:09] >> From Seth McFarland and Family Guy to uh [04:13] you know numerous other uh cultural [04:15] moments, people have talked about it. [04:18] People have talked about it in not so [04:20] serious uh ways. So this um this [04:24] forcible reverence coming from [04:26] institutions on its 25th anniversary is [04:31] uh it it's probably not going to take uh [04:35] take hold amongst the masses like there [04:38] are people still burning alive in these [04:40] towers and people were already uh people [04:42] were already making jokes forcible [04:45] reverence of 911. That's the thing. [04:47] Meanwhile, Abdul sayed continues to not [04:50] break off from us. He's going to pretend [04:52] he doesn't know who Assan is all [04:53] the way until the election. Now, he [04:55] openly asked openly asked to [04:57] campaign with him and now he just calls [04:58] him a Twitch streamer over and over and [05:00] over. That's not going to answer the [05:01] question, dude. Again, the problem with [05:02] Abdul Alsad is not Hassan The [05:04] problem with Abdul Aliad is that he [05:06] believes the same things Hassan [05:08] does and he tweeted it for years and he [05:11] says it openly until of course he has to [05:13] reverse himself in order to try to win [05:15] an election in a purple state like [05:16] Michigan. Here he was now trying to [05:18] pretend that that the Hassan thing [05:20] is not a thing. I agree it isn't a [05:22] thing. He is the thing. He is the [05:23] problem. Not Hassan Biker predominantly. [05:26] Their whole game is to make us fight [05:27] culture wars so that we don't pay [05:29] attention to the fact that the president [05:30] has made $2.2 billion. His family has [05:33] made even more. How about your family in [05:34] Michigan? How about your ability to [05:36] afford the basic things? How about the [05:38] ability to believe that you could see a [05:39] doctor without having to potentially [05:41] fall into medical debt? Those are the [05:42] conversations that people are having. [05:44] Those are the conversations I'm [05:45] interested in having. So yeah, I'm not [05:46] all that interested in having a [05:48] conversation about a Twitch streamer, [05:49] forgive me, when people can't afford [05:51] their gas and their groceries. [05:52] >> Well, that's a wild misdirect. I mean, [05:54] some of us are kind of concerned on the [05:55] 25th anniversary of 911 about a [05:57] candidate who literally tweeted about [05:59] 911 that bad things happened on 911 and [06:01] then America did way worse to everybody [06:03] else because of course America is a [06:04] terrible, horrible place. And remember, [06:07] Abdul Al-Siad is the same person who [06:09] said he would not would not in any way [06:12] praise the death of Ayat Kamei, a mass [06:15] murderer, because too many people in [06:16] Dearborn, Michigan might like Ayat [06:19] Kamei. You know who those people are? I [06:22] mean, some of them are just on tape. [06:24] There is memory and an amazing group [06:26] that translates from Arabic and from [06:29] Persian and from a wide variety of other [06:31] languages the radical statements of [06:34] people abroad and here at home. There is [06:36] a dearborn mosque where people are [06:37] talking about annihilating the Jews and [06:39] the Christians. [06:44] Oh Allah our Lord, they are waging jihad [06:45] for your sake. [06:48] Oh Allah, they are waging jihad for your [06:49] sake. Oh Allah, Lord of mankind, grant [06:52] them victory. [06:54] Oh Allah, Lord of mankind, grant them [06:55] victory over their enemies. [06:57] Oh Allah, annihilate the Jews and the [07:00] Christians. Oh Allah, annihilate the [07:01] Jews and their helpers for they are no [07:03] match for you. Oh Allah, count them. [07:05] kill them one by one [07:08] and do not spare a single one of them. [07:10] Oh lord of mankind and that's in the [07:12] United States that is in Abdul Aliad's [07:15] base in Dearborn. [07:17] Now there's some of the media who sort [07:18] of refuse to understand this and then [07:21] liken so-called Christian nationalism to [07:23] Islam globally. [07:25] So here is CNN's Abby Phillip trying to [07:27] say, "Well, why why why don't we talk [07:29] about Christian nationalism if we're [07:30] talking about Islam?" Well, I don't [07:31] know. Well, maybe it's because there is [07:34] no threat in the United States of [07:36] Christian nationalists taking over the [07:38] federal government and then forcing [07:40] people to convert to Christianity and [07:41] abide by Christianity by law. [07:44] Whereas all over the world in Muslim [07:46] majority countries, literally [07:48] everywhere, literally everywhere, Islam [07:51] imposed from the top down inhibits human [07:53] freedom. Maybe it's that, [07:56] you know, the the the idea that [07:58] Christianity is tied to Christian [08:00] theocracy in the same way that Islam is [08:02] tied to Sharia law in the modern age is [08:04] is crazy. That is a crazy likening. It [08:06] is not statistically verifiable. It is [08:08] not factually true. There might be a [08:10] small fraction of Americans who want [08:11] like a full-scale Christian theocracy in [08:13] America. That is a minute faction. But [08:16] she's going to try to claim that that is [08:18] somehow the same as Islam globally, [08:20] which okay. You know, it's interesting [08:23] to me that conservatives are um they're [08:27] quick to associate uh maybe the worst [08:29] aspects of uh terrorists with Muslims. [08:33] But then when you have, you know, [08:35] Christian nationalists um like that that [08:39] pastor who uh you know, Pete Hexith [08:41] invited to the Pentagon who thinks that [08:43] women shouldn't have the right to vote, [08:45] that they should be subservient to their [08:46] to their husbands, they should stay at [08:48] home and have babies. There's no outcry [08:51] about that. I I don't understand why. [08:55] >> So, first of all, we'll point out that [08:57] if the most radical you can do in [08:58] America is there's a Christian pastor [09:00] who was once invited by a dude in the [09:02] Pentagon to speak and he says that women [09:04] shouldn't have the right to vote as [09:06] opposed to there are imams all over the [09:09] United States and there are people at [09:11] the head of governments all over planet [09:12] earth who call for literally the murder [09:15] of people who are not co-religists. [09:17] Those are not remotely the same thing. [09:18] I'll be on with CNN's Abby Phillip [09:20] tonight. Hopefully, this topic will come [09:22] up. But again, it just shows the [09:24] unwillingness to come to grips with [09:26] things. First of all, why the what [09:27] aboutism? Why the what aboutism? I mean, [09:29] this is true. What aboutism, right? So, [09:31] what aboutism is where you say that it's [09:33] okay for your side because the other [09:35] side does it. But, you know, here's my [09:38] question. Abby Phillip could say, I [09:40] don't like the Christian nationalism. [09:41] You know what I really don't like? I [09:43] really don't like Islamic Sharia law [09:45] imposition all over planet Earth. And [09:47] the fact the fact that a plurality of [09:49] American Muslims are sympathetic to [09:51] Hamas, I don't like that very much. I [09:52] think that's bad. But she is using the [09:56] lack of condemnation of Christian [09:57] nationalism to excuse [10:00] the Islamic radicalism, which again, I [10:02] don't understand that at all. That makes [10:04] no sense to me. But I suppose we we may [10:07] have that conversation. And meanwhile, [10:10] on the immigration front, DHS Secretary [10:13] Markwin Mullen [10:15] told Benny Johnson that there's an [10:17] investigation into Ilhan Omar. That [10:20] investigation is predicated on the [10:23] fairly evidentiary assertion, or at [10:25] least allegation that Ilhan Omar [10:29] basically committed immigration fraud to [10:32] get her brother into the country. [10:33] According to the Daily Mail back in [10:35] 2020, Ilhan Omar told friends years ago [10:37] that the man who went on to become her [10:39] second husband was in fact her brother. [10:42] For the first time, one of those friends [10:43] has come forward to reveal exactly how [10:44] Omar and Ahmed Elme scandalized the [10:46] Somali community in Minneapolis. [10:49] Abdhakim Aman is the first person to go [10:51] on record and speak of how Omar said she [10:52] wanted to get her brother papers so he [10:54] could stay in the United States at a [10:55] time when she was still married to her [10:56] first husband, Ahmed Hersy. No one knew [10:59] there had been a wedding until the media [11:00] turned up the marriage certificate years [11:02] later. Because of a lack of paperwork in [11:04] war torn Somalia, where they were both [11:05] born, positive proof of their [11:07] relationship has never been uncovered. [11:09] The first report that Omar and her [11:10] husband were siblings, appeared on the [11:12] website Somali spot in 2016. Instead of [11:14] Elme, 34, as soon as I Omar married him, [11:17] he started university at her alma mater, [11:19] North Dakota State University, where he [11:20] graduated in 2012. Shortly thereafter, [11:22] he moved to Minneapolis where he was [11:24] living in a public housing complex and [11:25] was later evicted. He then returned to [11:27] the United Kingdom. [11:30] Anyone found guilty of committing [11:31] marital fraud face up to 5 years in jail [11:33] and a fine of up to $250,000. Here's DH [11:35] secretary suggesting that this is a [11:38] thing that happened. It might be under [11:39] investigation. [11:40] >> This is an ongoing investigation. [11:42] >> Um we we know that she married her her [11:46] brother to try to bring him in the [11:48] United States. We know he lives now in [11:50] London. Um we feel that this may you [11:54] know there there's even may more be [11:56] there may be more to this. whole family [11:59] migration uh and possibly some illegal [12:02] activity for them to come to the United [12:03] States to begin with. But all of us are [12:05] invest investigating. [12:07] >> Okay. So again, that apparently is a [12:09] live ongoing investigation. Tom Holman, [12:11] the borders are says there is in fact an [12:12] investigation into Wilhar. [12:14] >> I'm not going to comment on ongoing [12:16] criminal investigation. I know things [12:18] are going on uh but I can't give [12:20] specifics uh of of what's happening but [12:22] uh no, we'll see. I mean, uh, if someone [12:25] committed immigration violation, someone [12:28] committed marriage fraud or anything [12:30] like that, regardless if they're a [12:31] congressman or not, uh, no one's above [12:33] the law. So, um, I'll leave it at that. [12:35] We'll let the U HSI, Homeland Security [12:39] Investigations, [12:40] uh, continue the investigation. [12:42] >> Okay. So, you're confirming that there [12:44] is an investigation into Congresswoman [12:47] Omar. [12:50] I'm confirming that ISIS is yeah, like I [12:53] said months ago, that is something [12:55] that's been reported and needs to be [12:57] looked at. And [12:57] >> it turns out that I don't know, mass [12:59] migrating Somali into the United States [13:01] might not have been the world's best [13:02] idea because again, unvetted immigration [13:05] from countries that do not like your [13:06] general worldview is a bad idea. One [13:09] person who is sort of an expert on this [13:11] from a personal point of view is Dan [13:12] Baui. or Maui is a convert from Islam to [13:16] Christianity. And he pointed out over [13:18] the weekend that unfortunately the 9/11 [13:20] memorial only has two signs about Islam [13:23] and al-Qaeda. One is about al-Qaeda in [13:25] the context of the broader Muslim world. [13:28] He says, "When you visit the 911 museum [13:30] in New York, beneath the ground the Twin [13:32] Towers once stood, you'll find a section [13:33] called What Have We Learned?" The [13:35] section is not about the ideology that [13:36] drove 19 men to hijack planes. It is not [13:38] about the religious worldview that [13:39] justified slaughtering thousands of [13:41] civilians. No, that section is about New [13:42] York City's mistakes in dealing with the [13:44] dust and its long-term health effects on [13:46] first responders and residents. Tucked [13:48] away in a corner almost hidden, you'll [13:49] find a museum's weak defense of Islam, [13:51] framing al-Qaeda and Islamism as nothing [13:53] more than a political faction that [13:55] happened to emerge in the mid- 20th [13:56] century. It's designed not to offend, [13:58] not to name the ideology that inspired [14:00] the attacks. America did not learn the [14:02] real lessons of 9/11. [14:05] The lesson they should have put front [14:06] and center is if you ignore the [14:07] ideology, if you pretend Islam is [14:08] blameless, you guarantee the same ideas [14:10] will strike again. Instead, the largest [14:12] section is devoted to dust particles and [14:13] respiratory illnesses. That's why New [14:15] Yorkers got a jihad loving mayor 24 [14:17] years after 9/11. There's a threat to [14:20] your health and well-being right now. [14:22] The threat is you're not getting enough [14:24] sleep. I know all about this. Honestly, [14:26] I have many, many children, a very [14:27] demanding schedule. That means when I [14:29] put my head on my pillow at night, I [14:31] need to be asleep immediately. And the [14:33] way that happens for me at home is my [14:35] Helixleep mattress because again, it was [14:36] made just for me. When I'm on the road, [14:38] I don't sleep the same way because I'm [14:39] in a mattress that was not made just for [14:41] me. It's really quite simple. [15:23] Joining us online to discuss all of this [15:25] is Dan Baui. founder of the ideological [15:27] defense institute and author of Islam [15:29] Israel and the West a former Muslims [15:31] analysis. Stan, thanks so much for the [15:32] time. Really appreciate it. [15:34] >> Thank you for having me, Ben. It's an [15:36] honor. [15:38] >> So to kind of establish your bonafidees [15:40] in discussing Islam and the West, why [15:41] don't you explain to folks your own [15:43] background, the fact that you were a [15:45] Muslim, that you're now a Christian, how [15:46] did that happen? What are your [15:47] experiences with Islam? [15:51] So I grew up as a Muslim and I converted [15:53] to Christianity when I was 18 19 years [15:56] old and uh that is a long story but [16:01] briefly um after the Danish cartoonist [16:04] uh who drew the prophet of Islam in 2006 [16:07] I became very devout. I decided to [16:09] dedicate my life to defend Islam, to [16:12] defend the prophet. And after one year, [16:15] I left Islam because the moment you [16:17] start reading about the history, reading [16:19] the Quran, not only to worship but to [16:22] understand, then something happens. You [16:25] you realize that this religion is not [16:28] from Allah, not not from God. It is from [16:30] Allah actually. [16:33] So Dan, when we discuss Islam and the [16:35] West, I I've made the the point that [16:38] there's a a conversation that's [16:39] dishonest that's going on there. There's [16:41] one conversation that's about Islam as a [16:43] force in the world, as it currently [16:44] governs, as the vast majority of people [16:46] across planet Earth practice it. And [16:47] then there is the idea that in order to [16:50] say that Islam and the West are [16:51] incompatible, this means that you have [16:52] to say that every single Muslim who [16:54] exists in the West is inherently a [16:56] terrorist or terrorist sympathizer or [16:58] anything like that. I've made the [16:59] argument these are not the same thing [17:00] that you can certainly be a person who [17:03] you know has ifar dinner and not be a [17:05] terrorist supporter but Islam as a [17:07] global force and as a governing force [17:09] wherever it exists is an illiberal force [17:11] that disagrees with the values of the [17:12] west. What do you make of that argument? [17:16] >> Okay, Ben, so let me be clear here. If [17:19] you are serious about Islam, then you [17:22] are a problem. You cannot claim that you [17:25] are serious about Islam. you're faithful [17:27] to Islam without being anti-West, [17:31] without hating Jews, without hating [17:33] Christians. I'm not making this up. It [17:36] is the nature of the system itself. [17:39] First of all, Islam is not a religion. [17:41] Islam has a religion. That is my [17:43] argument. Islam has a religious [17:45] component like probably 10% of the [17:48] content of the faith or the system that [17:51] is religious. That is like praying and [17:53] fasting. But 90% of Islam is political. [17:58] It is about how to live as a citizen. [18:01] Non-Muslims how they live, their value, [18:04] so forth and so on. So when you conflate [18:08] Muslims and Islam, [18:10] you are serving Islam. So we need to [18:12] distinguish when when we criticize [18:15] communism. You made this argument in [18:17] your uh video from a couple days ago. [18:20] When you criticize communism, then you [18:24] are criticizing ideas. A set of ideas. [18:26] When you criticize Islam, you are [18:28] criticizing a set of ideas. Now, what [18:32] the faithful, the serious um Muslims who [18:35] want really to take over the west, take [18:38] over the world. They want you to [18:40] conflate both Muslims and Islam. So, [18:43] whenever you criticize Islam, you are [18:46] criticizing Muslims. That's what they [18:47] want. so that they can call you [18:49] Islamophobe. [18:51] But I always say to moderate Muslims, [18:55] let's let's agree moderate Muslims, [18:57] okay, they exist. I always tell them [19:00] stay out of the way. I am against a [19:02] system that calls for the subjugation of [19:04] the entire world. Do you believe in [19:06] that? If you are offended, then probably [19:09] you believe in that. So just stay out of [19:12] the way. If you don't want to kill Jews, [19:14] kill Christians, subjugate everyone in [19:16] the world, then why are you offended [19:19] when I criticize? Because they they say, [19:21] "Well, this is not Islam. This is okay. [19:24] You don't get to decide what Islam is." [19:26] History 14th centuries of Islamic [19:29] conquest, Islamic violence decides what [19:31] Islam is. Uh scripture, canonical [19:35] scripture of Islam decides what Islam [19:38] is. Now, this is like a long argument. I [19:40] talk about that in my book. But my [19:43] message to everyone who's listening, [19:45] when you are criticizing a set of ideas, [19:49] don't let anyone call you Islamophobe [19:52] because you have the right to criticize [19:54] a certain idea if it is a threat to you, [19:57] to your civilization. Just like it was a [20:00] threat to to my ancestor civilization, [20:03] it was erased. We were Islamized. I was [20:07] born a Muslim. So [20:11] >> yeah. So when we talk about that set of [20:12] ideas and how it governs across the [20:14] planet, I've made the point repeatedly [20:16] that there is not a single place on [20:18] planet earth where Islam has had a [20:19] liberalizing effect. Islam does not as a [20:22] philosophy or as a governing system [20:23] recognize separation of church and [20:25] state. It does not recognize freedom of [20:26] speech. It does not recognize freedom of [20:28] religion. It doesn't recognize any of [20:29] those places where it where where it has [20:31] power. And so when you look to the west [20:33] where Muslims are a vast minority, [20:35] they're minority population. and where [20:38] the there there's no possibility of [20:39] Sharia law being imposed. That's not the [20:42] same thing. You're talking about the [20:43] practice of people in as a minority in a [20:45] system. You're not talking about if that [20:47] system were to predominate. So what does [20:49] Islam look like where it does [20:50] predominate, where it does actually have [20:52] control? [20:55] >> Well, um this rebranding of Islam, which [20:58] has been happening since October 7, and [21:01] um the argument that Tucker Carlson made [21:03] last year when he said, "Look at Dubai. [21:05] Dubai is u what Sharia made and [21:09] Baltimore is what liberal democracy [21:12] made. Of course, this is a false [21:14] argument because um Dubai is the [21:17] importation of Western values while [21:20] keeping the shell, the Islamic shell. [21:23] Any Islamic country, and I'm I'm not [21:27] exaggerating here, any Islamic country [21:29] that is successful, it is because of the [21:32] global system, the global western system [21:35] that was exported to the rest of the [21:38] world. If you only adhere to Islam, if [21:42] you want to apply only Islam, I will [21:44] give you few successful examples. [21:46] Somalia, Afghanistan, [21:49] Iran. So this is like the Islamic [21:52] countries that they they want to apply [21:54] Sharia law. The reason for example Saudi [21:56] Arabia [21:58] permitted women to drive is because they [22:00] started walking away from Islam from [22:02] Sharia. So this this is number one. [22:05] Number two, [22:07] Sharia is not like the Christian cannon [22:11] or um Jewish halaka for many reasons. [22:16] Jews, they don't want to to impose [22:19] halaka on the rest of the world. So when [22:22] they compare like Muhammad hijab with [22:25] Pierce Morgan last week, he's like it's [22:27] the same argument against Sharia. That's [22:30] not true. No Jew wants to impose on the [22:33] rest of the world. Number one. Number [22:36] two, Christian. Christian or canon law [22:39] and Christianity is about spirituality [22:42] is about [22:43] church relationship with its members. It [22:47] has absolutely nothing to do with the [22:49] civil law. Sharia law contains [22:52] everything. How you pray, but also if [22:56] you are not a Muslim living on an [22:58] Islamic land, how to be dealt with. that [23:02] is like it's not not only civil laws, [23:04] not only religious laws and it's like [23:06] about everything. It has a foreign [23:08] policy doctrine for example jihad. So um [23:12] when Muslims say we want to apply Sharia [23:15] law in the west, they are saying [23:18] explicitly we want to replace the [23:21] constitution of the United States of [23:23] America with what we believe to be the [23:27] divine law because the US Constitution [23:31] is a man-made law and we must replace [23:35] it. [23:38] So Dan, you you grew up, as we've [23:40] mentioned, a Muslim, you grew up in [23:41] Jordan. What is the educational process [23:43] like for a young Muslim growing up in in [23:45] Jordan? Obviously, Ayan Hersy Ali has [23:47] written what it was like growing up in [23:48] Kenya as a young Muslim being taught in [23:50] essentially a Muslim Brotherhood school. [23:51] What are the kinds of things that kids [23:53] are learning? Because I think that one [23:54] of the great things that the West has [23:56] failed to understand is that if you are [23:58] brought up in an entirely different [23:59] system of thought, you don't want the [24:01] same things unless you sort of break out [24:02] of that system of thought. And so the [24:04] west tends to project its own ideas [24:06] about what people want in the world onto [24:08] everybody. This is why you see George W. [24:09] Bush in 2005 making the argument that [24:12] every human heart yearns for freedom so [24:13] we can just plant a democracy in [24:15] Afghanistan. And sure, Sharia law can be [24:17] in the constitution, but it'll just [24:19] everyone in the end wants the same [24:20] thing. You grew up in Jordan. You were [24:22] educated in a Muslim system. What [24:24] exactly was it that you learned and what [24:25] were the priorities in life? [24:29] Well, Ben, today um I read something [24:34] someone I'm not going to name. She made [24:36] a comment on your upcoming movie and she [24:40] said, "Oh, Israel is trying to um to [24:44] tell us that Muslims are a problem so [24:48] that we can allow them to kill all [24:50] Muslims. They're trying to frighten us [24:52] from Islam." Even though this particular [24:55] person her ancestors were massacred on [24:58] the hand of Muslims a century ago. But [25:01] let me tell you this when we talk about [25:04] to answer your questions when when we [25:07] talk about if Islam is a real threat not [25:10] only to the west the rest of humanity [25:12] we're not making that up. Especially as [25:14] former Muslims we're not paid Zionist. [25:17] We are not getting $7,000. I didn't wake [25:20] up this morning at 7 a.m. to do this [25:23] interview because you're paying me, but [25:25] because we are sincere about saving [25:28] Western civilization. When I was six [25:31] years old, seven years old [25:35] in in my school textbook, [25:38] I learned that Abu, [25:41] the companion of Muhammad during the [25:44] battle of [25:46] beheaded his own father because he was [25:49] an afidel. He was a non-Muslim. [25:52] And Allah praised him in the Quran [25:56] saying that what you did is wonderful [25:59] because you served Allah. You served [26:02] Islam. Now imagine you're 7 years old [26:05] and you learn that non-Muslims if they [26:09] don't submit to Islam, they deserve to [26:11] be killed. I'm not saying that every [26:14] Muslim in the world wants to behead all [26:16] the non-Muslims. Of course not. The [26:18] majority, the absolute majority of [26:20] Muslims would never adhere to these [26:22] teachings, not because uh um not not [26:26] because uh they hate them. I'm sorry, [26:29] not because they you know wholeheartedly [26:33] they want to serve Allah, but at the [26:34] same time they see these teachings [26:38] against human nature. So what happens? [26:41] Cognitive dissonance. They want to serve [26:43] Allah, but they cannot believe in this. [26:45] So anyway, the majority of Muslim would [26:47] never do that. However, they cannot [26:51] genuinely stand against those who do. So [26:55] when Hamas massacred Jews on October 7, [26:58] what happened is that there was a [27:02] religious justification [27:04] because what what Hamas did was jihad. [27:07] It was a virtue. Muhammad promised [27:10] Muslims that at the end of times they [27:13] will wipe Jews off the map. They that [27:17] Jews will run to hide behind the trees, [27:21] behind rocks and trees will call out to [27:24] Muslims, oh Muslim, oh slave of Allah, [27:27] there is a Jew behind me, come and kill [27:30] him. So when you when your mentality is [27:34] shaped with this um not only an ideology [27:40] but a divine ideology then there is a [27:44] problem because even if you are not [27:46] going to hold the knife yourself [27:50] you will not be able to condemn those [27:52] who do. So that is that is the problem [27:56] and I believe that to be fair I believe [27:58] that the Jordanian government tried to [28:01] modify the curriculum to change a little [28:03] bit but you cannot believe and it's [28:06] happening until now until this week you [28:08] cannot believe the backlash against the [28:10] Jordanian government for trying to [28:13] change few things in the curriculum for [28:16] example changing [28:19] uh the Zionist enemy to uh the [28:22] occupation the Israeli occup occupation [28:24] that was people were not happy with it. [28:27] No, we want you to call them the Zionist [28:30] enemy, not only the Israeli occupation. [28:33] So even something small as this was not [28:36] accepted. [28:39] Again, the book is Islam, Israel and the [28:41] West. The author is Dan Bau. You can go [28:42] check out all of his work over on X. You [28:44] can check out his book on Amazon.
