Transcript [00:00] Israel just carried out a wild operation [00:03] in Gaza. There is a man whose one job is [00:07] to enforce security for Kamas. And by [00:11] security, I mean purge collaborators, [00:13] enforce loyalty, and protect Kamas [00:16] leadership at all cost. All of those are [00:19] fancy ways to say this man is a thug of [00:22] the worst kind and a horrific terror to [00:25] the people of Gaza. And as of this week, [00:29] all of that just changed. [00:32] So, Israel just carried out an operation [00:34] in Gaza not to eliminate this terrorist [00:36] thug, but to kidnap him, which is kind [00:40] of insane. And for context, before we [00:42] get into the details of this operation, [00:45] here are some of the videos showing what [00:47] kind of a man this guy is. I have to [00:50] blur these a lot so YouTube doesn't [00:52] delete this video, but there are [00:53] countless videos available on the [00:55] internet clearly documenting exactly [00:57] what Kamas does to dissenters in Gaza. [01:01] If you want to look those up, you can, [01:02] but warning, they are very graphic. As [01:05] you can kind of see here, though, for [01:07] one reason or another, when a Gazin [01:09] crosses a line with Kamas, whether [01:11] that's stealing food, working with [01:13] Israel, standing up to kamas, or [01:15] whatever, they're hauled out into the [01:16] streets. Often their limbs are broken [01:18] with bats and/or they are shot in the [01:20] knees and then sometimes killed. Then [01:23] their corpses are dragged through the [01:25] streets as an example to others. And the [01:28] guy responsible for this is named Moan [01:30] Al Arabed and he is the head of Kamas's [01:33] internal security. And he's been in that [01:35] position for 11 years now. Which brings [01:38] us to what just happened. Just this past [01:41] week, kamas channels in Gaza were [01:43] boasting that alert resistance members [01:45] had foiled an IDF raid in Gaza through [01:47] what they called sheer vigilance. Then [01:50] they pivoted to say that a hostile force [01:52] had been discovered, but they had been [01:54] made to pay. Then they pivoted again to [01:57] admit that three collaborators with [01:59] Israel were arrested by kamas, but [02:02] Israeli forces did manage to capture a [02:04] senior kamas member who happened to be [02:07] present at the scene, but were not the [02:08] IDF's main target. Some of that is true, [02:12] but here's what actually happened. As [02:14] far as we can tell, for over a year now, [02:17] Israel has been providing equipment to [02:19] several anti-Chas armed groups in Gaza, [02:22] and the IDF has been transferring [02:24] weapons, food, cigarettes to these [02:26] groups, as well as providing air support [02:28] when needed for operations. Over the [02:31] past little bit, these anti-Chas groups [02:33] have been getting bolder, carrying out [02:35] several hundredman operations against [02:37] kamas, as well as assisting Israel in [02:40] demolishing tunnels. But just this last [02:43] week, they did something really bold. [02:45] One of the anti-Chas militias entered [02:47] western Gaza in an unmarked van, as can [02:50] be seen in this video. The goal was to [02:52] surprise Kamas's head of intelligence [02:54] and capture him for Israeli [02:57] interrogation. Apparently, they were [02:59] surprised themselves by Kamas forces, [03:01] and a massive firefight ensued. The raid [03:04] was carried out in coordination with [03:06] Israel's southern command and when [03:08] things got dicey, they were quick to [03:10] send in Israeli fighter jets. According [03:13] to reports, Israel sent in some 16 [03:15] fighter jets flying at low altitude [03:17] along with at least one armed drone. The [03:20] jets and drone were able to bomb key [03:22] Hamas positions, allowing resistance [03:24] groups to grab that head of security and [03:27] escape with him back to Israel on [03:29] motorcycles. [03:30] There are reports that IDF special [03:32] forces were operating alongside of the [03:34] Gaza militia members directly in that [03:36] operation, but those reports have not [03:38] been confirmed. In a second, we'll get [03:40] into the rest of the details on this [03:42] story along with the implications and [03:44] some further developments in Gaza. For several decades, the [04:57] IDF have been able to pull off raids [04:59] like this whenever needed inside of [05:00] cities in Judea and Samaria like Shrem [05:02] or Janine. But until recently, even [05:05] thinking about doing something like this [05:06] in Gaza itself would have been [05:08] unimaginable. [05:10] And as we've been discussing recently, [05:12] things are quickly shifting in Gaza. [05:15] We've gotten to the point where Israel [05:17] can pretty much operate whenever needed [05:18] in Gaza with a much greater degree of [05:21] freedom and fluidity. And not only just [05:24] the IDF, but now also anti-Chas militia [05:27] groups like the one who carried out this [05:29] raid. And uh to add insult to injury, [05:32] Israel followed up this raid with a [05:34] destruction of yet another terror tunnel [05:37] in Gaza. This would bring the total [05:39] length of destroyed tunnels just since [05:41] the ceasefire began to over 26 [05:44] kilometers, which is pretty crazy. It's [05:47] wild that for years, international aid [05:49] organizations have been shipping in [05:50] thousands of tons of concrete as [05:53] supposed aid into Gaza. And uh Kamas has [05:55] been pouring that concrete directly into [05:58] building these massive terror tunnels, [06:00] dozens and dozens of miles of them. And [06:03] for a while they were an extremely [06:05] effective weapon. But thanks to modern [06:08] technological breakthroughs, they are [06:10] losing their edge. And one by one, [06:12] Israel is hunting these tunnels down and [06:14] blowing them up. BB Netanyao for his [06:17] part actually just visited Gaza. He [06:19] arrived with his escort this last week [06:21] on Wednesday at an IDF outpost near the [06:24] Yellow Line. He said in a statement, [06:26] quote, "We control 60% of the strip and [06:29] there is more to come because we are [06:31] eliminating the terrorists who threaten [06:34] us." There is a concern though that [06:35] kamas could mount a retaliatory raid [06:38] against IDF positions on the yellow line [06:40] and uh southern IDF commanders are also [06:42] not ruling out the possibility of a [06:44] kamas attempt to again launch rockets [06:47] especially over the upcoming holiday [06:50] season. Israel is on high alert though [06:52] and hopefully if there is any attempt to [06:55] attack Israel will be able to put a stop [06:56] to it immediately. Thank God kamas is [07:00] not in any kind of a position of [07:01] strength at the current moment. National [07:05] security minister Ben Kavir also [07:07] announced this last week that he intends [07:09] to push forward a voluntary immigration [07:11] plan for Gaza as his party's top [07:14] priority. According to a recent [07:16] estimate, over 80% of Gazins now wish to [07:19] leave the strip but have nowhere to go. [07:22] Ben Kavir called the plan disengagement [07:24] 710 in light of both Israel's 2005 [07:27] disengagement from Gaza and the October [07:30] 7th massacre. Ben Kavir was quoted as [07:33] saying uh quote, "Instead of illusions [07:35] of peace now, we need actions of [07:37] immigration now. Instead of digging [07:39] tunnels, it's time to pack suitcases." [07:42] Things are changing rapidly in the [07:44] Middle East. The threats that have been [07:46] facing Israel for decades at this point [07:48] are disappearing. Thank God. But [07:51] predictably, new threats are rising in [07:53] their place. As in the times of the [07:55] Bible, the enemies of God and his people [07:58] do not sit silent, and they cannot allow [08:00] God's people to dwell securely in their [08:03] own land. That's why we as Christians [08:06] need to continue to stand with Israel [08:08] and with God's people, even as in these [08:10] times it may get harder and harder to do [08:12] that.
