Transcript [00:00] So last week we talked about how the [00:02] United Kingdom had decided to sanction [00:06] Jewish settlements in the Israeli [00:09] settlements in uh Judea and Samaria [00:12] known as the West Bank and that a whole [00:14] bunch of other countries like 11 other [00:15] countries jumped on board to sanction [00:18] them and prohibit this the import of [00:21] their goods. [00:23] And I said in the video that I made at [00:25] the time that the timing of this was [00:28] probably a combination of the upcoming [00:31] Israeli elections, but also the fact [00:33] that the Labor Party convention was [00:35] coming up soon and Ed Miban, the foreign [00:38] secretary and uh and the prime minister [00:41] Burnham were probably signaling to their [00:43] anti-Israel wing who've been pressuring [00:45] them to do more against Israel that [00:48] they're doing something to silence them, [00:50] you know, to satisfy them. Well, it [00:52] turns out that they're not so satisfied. [00:54] Look at this headline from today. UK [00:57] sanctions on Israel fall far short of [00:59] its obligations. Legal experts say more [01:02] than 130 legal experts, including 18 [01:05] Kings Council, have written to Andy [01:07] Burnham, saying that sanctions on [01:08] Israeli settlements fall far short of [01:10] Britain's obligations under the [01:12] International Court of Justice's finding [01:14] that the occupation is unlawful. Now, of [01:17] course, the International Court of [01:18] Justice has a very fancy name. sounds [01:20] very important and official, but that's [01:21] a separate topic. They're actually not [01:24] binding on anybody. If you want a really [01:26] good explanation of uh the International [01:29] Court of Criminal Court, Court of [01:30] Justice, all that stuff, my son, mayor, [01:32] on his channel did a great job with [01:34] that. You can go over to his channel and [01:35] check it out. Anyway, the foreign [01:37] secretary Ed Milliband last week [01:39] announced an import ban on goods from [01:42] illegal Israeli settlements in Palestine [01:45] and other measures. Signitories to the [01:48] letter to the prime minister. this new [01:49] letter including leading lawyers and it [01:52] says a few names of theirs. Michael [01:54] Mansfield, Imran Khan, former Justice [01:56] Alan Moses. Okay. Now, in the letter, [01:59] here's what it said. We ask it. We ask [02:01] the UK to commit to further and more [02:04] rigorous measures to ensure that no part [02:06] of the UK's economic relationship with [02:09] Israel continues to sustain the illegal [02:12] occupation itself and the settlements [02:15] and other serious violations of the [02:16] fundamental rules of international law [02:18] perpetrated through its conduct. And to [02:20] build on this, to adopt robust coercive [02:23] me coercive measures, to seek to bring [02:25] all these serious violations of [02:26] international law and the practices they [02:29] sustain, including fundamentally the [02:31] occupation itself, to an end. That's a [02:33] very long run-on sentence. I didn't want [02:35] to stop in the middle. Now, I want to [02:38] point out one phrase in here. What [02:40] they're saying is, it's not enough to [02:42] sanction goods coming in from Judea and [02:44] Samaria. No, no, no. That's [02:45] insufficient. [02:46] But no, we want to make sure that no [02:49] part of the UK's economic relationship [02:52] with Israel sustains the occupation. [02:56] Now, what does that mean? That could [02:57] mean Israeli banks, which give financing [03:01] to businesses [03:03] in Judea and Samaria. I mean, like the [03:06] Israeli banks serve the communities all [03:08] over Israel, including Judea and [03:09] Samaria, just as an example. We'll get [03:11] into that more in a bit. [03:14] But it it also is saying that the that [03:18] you the occupation itself has to end the [03:20] occupation. We'll get into the [03:21] occupation in a moment. The letter also [03:23] signed by legal academics calls for a [03:25] range of additional measures, [03:28] including a full arms embargo on Israel. [03:32] While announcing the sanctions, Miband [03:34] accused Israel of ethnic cleansing in [03:36] the West Bank. He did. I I mentioned [03:37] that in the video I made last week. And [03:40] the signatorries say that article 63 of [03:42] the arms trade treaty prohibits [03:45] transfers of arms where a state has [03:47] knowledge of such a crime. [03:50] Wait a second. If Israel's involved in [03:53] ethnic cleansing, then how could we give [03:54] them weapons? They have a point. Okay, [03:56] let me tell you. Let me tell you about [03:58] ethnic cleansing in Judea and Samaria. [04:00] Uh there was a Jewish community in the [04:04] city of Hebron for centuries, centuries, [04:08] many many centuries. We have letters [04:10] from travelers to the land of Israel [04:12] going back, you know, over a thousand [04:14] years [04:16] talking about the Jewish community in [04:17] Hebron. It's an ancient Jewish [04:18] community. [04:21] And in 1929, [04:25] there w this is like two decades before [04:28] the founding of the state of Israel, [04:29] long before anyone decided where what [04:31] would be Palestinian territory and [04:33] Israeli territory. This was not even a [04:37] twinkle in anyone's eye yet. 20 years [04:39] before that ancient Jewish community in [04:41] Hebron had been there for many many [04:43] centuries. [04:46] And you know what happened? There was a [04:49] riot where local Muslim Arabs [04:54] massacred the Jews of Hebrron and [04:57] ethnically cleansed them. The British in [05:01] response to the Jews being massacred, [05:03] the British were in charge then. in [05:05] response to the Jews being massacred in [05:06] Hebron didn't protect the Jews. They [05:08] just took all the remaining Jews who [05:10] weren't massacred and evacuated them, [05:13] ethnically cleansing Hebrron until Jews [05:16] would return to Hebron after the Six-Day [05:19] War. Or how about the old city of [05:22] Jerusalem, which had Jews in it [05:25] continuously from temple times [05:29] and again we have record of that. [05:32] The Jewish quarter in the old city of [05:34] Jerusalem. And you know what happened? [05:35] The only time the only time where there [05:38] were zero Jews in the old city of [05:40] Jerusalem from temple times till today [05:42] was from 1948 to 1967. You know why? [05:46] Because in 1948 when the Arab Legion, [05:49] the Jordanian forces, the Arab Legion, [05:50] when they came in, they ethnically [05:52] cleansed the Jews from Jerusalem. That's [05:55] actual ethnic cleansing. No one's being [05:58] ethnically cleansed in Judea and [06:00] Samaria. I pointed this out in before. [06:03] Every single Jewish town built in Judea [06:06] and Samaria is built on land that was [06:10] open land. There's no there's no [06:13] Palestinian land because there was no [06:16] Palestinian sovereign entity. The only [06:19] Palestinian land, if you want to call it [06:21] that, Arab land is land owned by [06:23] individual Arabs. They have property [06:25] rights and they still have those [06:27] property rights and they have their [06:28] fields and they have their houses. No [06:30] one's taking them away. No Jewish towns, [06:32] no Jewish settlements are built on land [06:34] that was taken away [06:36] from Palestinians. The claim that it's [06:38] Palestinian land is based on a fiction [06:41] that there was a sovereign entity, some [06:43] Arab Palestine, which has never existed [06:45] ever, ever in history. [06:48] Look, I I know I'm stating something [06:50] kind of obvious, but let me just lay it [06:52] out there. There's two types of [06:54] ownership. There's personal private [06:55] property ownership, and then there's [06:57] state ownership. There can only be state [06:59] ownership if there's a state. You know, [07:00] like when you step outside and there's [07:02] just like an empty hilltop and it [07:05] doesn't belong to anybody. It belongs to [07:06] the state. It's stateowned land, right? [07:09] Well, [07:11] these empty tracks of land, that's where [07:13] Jewish settlements are built. [07:17] There's no one's being ethnically [07:19] cleansed. Again, the only ethnic [07:21] cleansing that has ever taken place in [07:22] Judea and Samaria is the ethnic [07:24] cleansing of Jews. But I mean there was [07:27] also the ethnic cleansing of Christians [07:30] from Bethlehem, which before the [07:32] Palestinian Authority took over was like [07:34] a 75 or 80% Christian city, and now it's [07:37] like under 20% because they've been [07:39] pushed out. That's ethnic cleansing. [07:41] Anyway, I I digress. The signitories [07:44] want extension of the sanctions to cover [07:46] insurance, accountancy services, and [07:49] digital infrastructure. There you go. [07:51] See, here's what they're doing with [07:52] these sanctions. [07:54] Let me tell you what we're seeing. We [07:57] are seeing what starts out as sanctions [08:00] on Judea Samaria on West Bank [08:03] settlements which is very popular [08:06] and it's going to spread and it's going [08:08] to normalize completely cutting off [08:11] Israel and sanctioning Israel. It's [08:13] going to that's what this is heading [08:14] towards. It's going to become normalized [08:17] where countries are going to refuse to [08:18] do business with Israel, but they're [08:20] going to be stuck because the big losers [08:21] if they refuse to do business with [08:23] Israel will be those countries [08:24] themselves. But again, I digress. They [08:27] want an extension of the sanctions to [08:29] cover insurance, accountancy services, [08:31] digital infrastructure, as well as [08:32] public confirmation that no UK public [08:34] body, pension scheme, or sovereign fund [08:37] holds settlement investments. One of the [08:39] letter signitories and drafters, Ralph [08:42] Wild, a professor of international law [08:44] at University College of London, [08:45] welcomed the UK's recent recognition of [08:47] Israel's occupation of the West Bank as [08:49] unlawful as an important shift, but said [08:52] it fell short in its focus on the [08:54] settlements and settlers. Oh, the [08:56] elephant in the room is the illegality [08:58] of the occupation itself, said Wild, who [09:01] acted as senior counsel and legal [09:02] adviser to the Arab League in the case [09:05] before the International Court of [09:06] Justice. So he's a real uh lovely uh [09:09] guy. It's not just simply the [09:11] settlements and the abuse of treatment [09:13] and and the genocide [09:15] abusive treatment. It probably is [09:16] probably what he said which of course [09:18] are also wrong. It's Israel's very [09:22] presence. He added there's a mismatch [09:24] between saying Israel's very presence [09:26] there is illegal but then only focusing [09:28] on the question of the settlers and the [09:29] settlements. If the problem is with the [09:31] settlements themselves then the problem [09:33] is with the state that establishes them. [09:35] Look, [09:38] do we see where this is headed? UK [09:41] official says behavior of next Israeli [09:44] government could affect scope of [09:45] Westbang sanctions. Now we see the [09:46] motive. You see, they want to get rid of [09:49] Netanyahu. They want a left-wing [09:51] government. Now that is more pliable, [09:53] more amenable to their anti-Israel [09:57] policies. That's what they really want. [10:00] So in this piece [10:02] here, let me just read it from the top. [10:05] There's a number of u here. What does it [10:08] say? [10:10] The scope of the United Kingdom's [10:12] newlyannounced sanctions targeting [10:13] Israeli settlements in the West Bank [10:15] could expand or narrow based on the [10:17] actions of Israel's next government, a [10:19] British official told reporters without [10:21] suggesting the measures could be [10:22] abandoned altogether. The government has [10:25] flexibility in how it implements these [10:26] measures, the official said on condition [10:28] of anonymity. [10:30] and he said that London will judge a new [10:32] Israeli government by its actions. See, [10:35] what are they trying to do here? It's so [10:37] transparent. They're trying to affect [10:39] the way Israelis vote. They think that [10:41] they're going to bully the Israeli [10:43] public and scare them. OH, NO. WE WANT [10:44] TO GET RID OF THE SANCTIONS. We better [10:46] elect, you know, someone who wants a [10:48] two-state solution. That's what they [10:50] think is going to happen here. [10:55] Anyway, it's ridiculous. Norway moves to [10:58] criminalize trade with Israeli [10:59] settlements. They're like, you know, [11:01] everyone wants to one up each other. [11:03] Like they want to be even more, you [11:06] know, even more uh, you know, [11:08] progressive and anti-Israel. [11:11] So, look at Norway. Isn't it Isn't it [11:14] great? Norway, the where Oslo is. Norway [11:17] moves to criminalize trade with Israeli [11:20] settlements. This is from today. [11:23] Norway is preparing a bill to ban trade [11:25] with Israeli settlements in the occupied [11:26] West Bank. Norway is preparing [11:29] legislation to criminalize trade with [11:30] Israeli settlements after the European [11:32] country announced plans to pressure [11:34] Israel over military and settler [11:35] violence in the occupied Palestinian [11:37] territory. I don't want to get into the [11:38] settler violence thing. We've I've [11:41] talked about that elsewhere, but [11:42] basically bottom line is I mean they c [11:45] if you if you look through all of the [11:48] incidents of settler violence that are [11:49] cataloged by the UN, like well over 95% [11:54] of them are nonsense. They're things [11:56] like Jews walking on the Temple Mount, [11:59] right? It's it's crazy. No joke. [12:01] According to Norway's foreign minister [12:03] for foreign affairs, [12:05] foreign minister of foreign affairs is [12:07] no. Okay. Epsombarth aid individuals [12:10] found trading with Israeli settlements [12:11] could face up to three years in prison [12:13] under the proposed trade restrictions [12:15] bill. Three years in prison for doing [12:17] business with a company that's operating [12:20] in Judea and Samaria. Look at that. The [12:23] arguments have only become stronger [12:24] because the situation in the West Bank [12:26] has become even worse. He told NRK in [12:28] addition to so many other in addition so [12:31] many other countries are doing the same [12:32] thing that the government has already [12:34] proposed with this bill. In other words, [12:36] everyone else is doing it, sanctioning [12:37] the Jews. He said Israel had become far [12:40] too accustomed to being able to [12:41] intimidate Western countries by saying [12:43] they were anti-Semitic if they [12:45] criticized Israel for abuses and [12:46] violations of international law. Now the [12:49] Teflon coding that Israel has had in [12:51] many ways is gone. Aid also Eid a [12:55] whatever his name is also said that the [12:56] US response to sanctions announced by [12:58] European countries had been very [13:00] restrained. This is a serious point [13:01] here, almost somewhat understanding, [13:04] which he described as a very strong sign [13:07] to Israel that political attitudes were [13:08] changing. His comments come after US [13:11] Secretary of State Marco Rubio responded [13:13] to the UK's sanctions against Israeli [13:15] settlements in the occupied West Bank, [13:17] saying Washington shared the goal of [13:19] stability and did not want to see some [13:22] uptick in violence in the West Bank. [13:25] Now, so what he's saying is, hey, look, [13:27] Rubio didn't he didn't come out against [13:29] them. He seemed to be, you know, saying [13:31] that, you know, he didn't he didn't [13:33] criticize the sanctions, so maybe the [13:35] Americans aren't so opposed. [13:38] Despite the proposed restrictions, the [13:39] NRK report noted that trade between [13:41] Norway and Israeli settlements is [13:43] relatively limited, and that the [13:44] measures are primarily political in [13:46] nature. Yes, we all knew that. He said [13:48] the proposed legislation would also [13:50] cover Palestinian East Jerusalem, which [13:52] Israel illegally occupied in 1967 before [13:55] annexing it 1980. Interesting. How did [13:58] Israel illegally occupy it in 1967? Who' [14:01] they take it from? Who' they take it [14:03] from? Do we know? Oh, yes. From Jordan. [14:06] Because Jordan attacked Israel, right? [14:08] Got it. Jordan attacked Israel. Israel [14:10] took it in a defensive war. [14:13] And Jordan had was holding it illegally, [14:16] too, because they took it in the war of [14:19] 1948, and no one recognized their [14:22] sovereignty over it either. [14:24] And now Jordan doesn't claim any doesn't [14:28] have any claim on it. So what makes it [14:31] illegal? [14:33] What makes it illegal? [14:35] And look, the whole Jordan thing brings [14:37] up another question that I've raised [14:38] many times, but it bears mentioning [14:40] again. From 1948 to 1967, the Jordanians [14:45] had full control of Judea and Samaria [14:50] and Jerusalem [14:52] and and the old city, right? They they [14:55] even tried to en they even declared it [14:57] theirs. They they annexed it. Only two [15:00] countries recognized it [15:03] during that time. Why didn't they create [15:05] a Palestinian state there? Why not? [15:10] Why didn't they create a Palestinian [15:11] state? [15:13] Oh, no one wanted one. Wasn't it [15:16] Palestine? What about the Palestinians? [15:19] It's all nonsense, folks. Anyway, before [15:22] we go on, just u reminding you all again [15:26] an important and exciting tour that [15:28] we're running March 7th to 14th, 2027. [15:32] Israel Behind the Headlines tour. This [15:34] is an 8-day trip in Israel, hosted the [15:37] entire time by yours truly and Dr. David [15:39] Worms. Dr. David Worms, if you don't [15:42] know who he is, is one of the world's [15:44] leading experts in the Middle East. I [15:46] have a conversation with him every week, [15:48] once a week on the Israel 365 news [15:50] channel. We just put another one up uh [15:52] today. Usually it's on Sunday, but [15:54] because of the holidays, it was a little [15:56] bit pushed off. So, uh Dr. Worms has [15:59] served in many different senior [16:01] positions uh in in the US government uh [16:04] as a Middle East expert, and he is just [16:06] a he's just a delight and he's going to [16:08] be joining us the entire trip. And we're [16:10] also going to have high level meetings [16:12] with officials in the Israeli [16:13] government, people involved in the [16:15] Israeli security establishment, leaders [16:17] of communities like the Drews community [16:19] up north and the Jewish communities in [16:21] Judea and Samaria like we're talking [16:22] about here and and others. We're also [16:25] going to meet with leading journalists [16:26] in Israel. It's going to be a really uh [16:29] amazing trip and it is also a five-star [16:32] luxury accommodations trip. Just keep [16:35] that in mind. And we're also keeping it [16:37] a very small trip. It's going to be [16:38] under 20 people. and uh very exclusive. [16:42] So if you're interested in this, click [16:44] the link in the description of this [16:45] video for the tour and uh and sign up [16:48] today. All right. Amid settlements, UK [16:51] sanctions could put entire Israeli [16:53] economy at risk. And this article [16:54] basically goes through the fact that [16:58] the way it's worded, [17:01] it could end I mean, forget about the [17:02] way it's worded, the impact of it. The [17:05] sanctions regime will target illegal [17:06] settlements and settlement expansion, [17:08] not Israel. We will continue to support [17:10] important and valued trade with green [17:13] line Israel. That's mainline meaning [17:15] Israel not not in the Judea and Samaria [17:18] because we support the two-state [17:19] solution which is what Miliban said. But [17:22] according to economists and other [17:23] experts the plan moves will in reality [17:25] have the opposite effect with only muted [17:28] financial impact for settlements but [17:30] potent potentially far-reaching knock-on [17:32] effects that could chill some of [17:34] Israel's most important trade [17:35] relationships. Industry watchers warned [17:37] that the threatened sanctions could harm [17:39] business ties well beyond the UK and the [17:41] other 12 Western countries that [17:43] announced plans for similar measures. [17:45] While a vague promise to impose [17:47] penalties on anyone aiding settlement [17:49] expansion could wind up putting the [17:51] entire Israeli banking system on shaky [17:53] ground. That's what I said before. [17:54] Leading to damage across the country's [17:56] entire economy. [17:59] Much of what is produced in the West [18:00] Bank is agricultural dates, wine, olive [18:03] oil, Dead Sea cosmetics. Though there [18:05] are also industrial factory facilities [18:08] and uh industrial zones making plastics [18:10] and electronics assembly. But there are [18:13] open questions regarding the application [18:14] and enforcement of any ban because of [18:17] practical difficulties in identifying [18:19] the origin of goods because things are [18:21] are are assembled and manufactured in [18:23] different places. And you have companies [18:26] that have maybe they have a warehouse or [18:29] or an assembly plant in Judea and [18:31] Samaria, but their main offices are in [18:32] Tel Aviv. There's there's all kinds of [18:34] ways that this could end up having [18:36] ripple effects. According to this uh [18:39] lead this uh expert they're quoting, [18:41] "Israeli businesses exporting abroad [18:43] have grown used to keeping where their [18:44] products are made under wraps. Israel is [18:46] probably one of the only countries that [18:47] hides its origin in order to sell [18:51] because of these things. [18:53] I mean it exposes it exposes Israel. Dam [18:57] it exposes meaning exposes the rest of [18:59] Israel. Miliban's announcement is [19:01] damaging because the language exposes [19:03] Israel's global standing to much easier [19:05] criticism by the anti-Israel movement [19:07] and that will reflect on Israeli [19:09] business people being able to do [19:10] business. There's a sort of illusion [19:12] about how long our economy can withstand [19:14] this kind of reputational damage which [19:16] has been a consistent challenge for [19:18] Israeli entrepreneurs and businesses [19:20] since October 7th. [19:23] The UK declaration is not only about [19:25] refusal to stock Jordan Valley dates on [19:27] British supermarket shelves. The threat [19:29] to sanction those who facilitate [19:31] settlement expansion could leave [19:32] Israel's financial system deeply [19:34] isolated. Experts warn [19:38] we will right because Miliban said and [19:40] they have a quote here. We will take [19:41] action against specific companies and [19:43] individuals who provide services such as [19:45] construction infrastructure financing or [19:49] real estate for settlement expansion. So [19:51] those who fi So to those who finance or [19:53] facilitate illegal settlements, let me [19:55] say this, you will face the full force [19:57] of UK sanctions. That's Miliban's [19:58] statement. So what but think about that [20:01] such sanctions could fall on Israeli [20:03] banks pretty much all of which provide [20:05] services to clients in Judea and [20:08] Samaria. [20:10] Right? So this is the issue here. [20:13] Then it talks about the timing. [20:16] You know it uh you know that the timing [20:18] has everything to do with the elections. [20:20] And that brings me to this piece. This [20:21] is from Harets. I I never quote Harets. [20:24] Harets is uh to call them left-wing is [20:28] an understatement. They're basically an [20:30] Israeli news outlet that has become [20:32] anti-Israel. [20:33] They are I mean they are as left as it [20:36] gets when it comes to Israel. They [20:38] publish I mean they're they're on board [20:40] with the genocide claims. Okay? And this [20:42] is an Israeli outlet. They do tremendous [20:44] damage to us. And there's this columnist [20:45] here, Peter Lerner, super leftwing guy. [20:48] He is no fan of the Judea and Samaria [20:51] settlements. And that's why I'm saying [20:52] all this because he he here in this [20:57] piece that was published yesterday, he [20:58] speaks the truth. Look what he says [21:00] here. The headline says it all. [21:01] Britain's sanctions will strengthen the [21:03] very Israelis they're meant to weaken. [21:04] See, I said at the beginning that the [21:06] timing of this is supposed to kind of [21:08] like intimidate the Israeli electorate [21:10] or make them worried, oh no, oh no, you [21:12] you know, we have to get rid of [21:13] Netanyahu so we can bring in a left-wing [21:15] government so that the, you know, so [21:17] that the all these 12 countries will [21:18] stop sanctioning us and they'll start [21:20] loving us because we'll because we'll be [21:22] in favor of a two-state solution or [21:23] whatever. Look what he says here. This [21:25] is so this is on the money. The [21:27] question, however, is not whether [21:29] Britain has grounds to condemn Israeli [21:31] policy. Of course it does. The question [21:33] is whether these sanctions will change [21:34] that policy. Will they halt Israeli [21:37] construction at E1 or cause Israel to [21:39] dismantle illegal outposts throughout [21:41] the West Bank? Almost certainly not. [21:44] Their economic effect will be marginal. [21:46] That their political effect may be [21:48] considerable and entirely [21:50] counterproductive. Britain has handed [21:52] Netanyahu and his coalition an electoral [21:54] gift. extremists in the current [21:56] government [21:58] will present the sanctions as proof that [22:00] the world is hostile to Israel and [22:02] Israelis. [22:05] That's true. They will use this policy [22:07] to discredit the Israeli opposition. [22:10] Rally anxious and undecided voters [22:12] around the flag and reinforce the siege [22:14] mentality upon which Netanyahu's [22:16] political survival has depended for so [22:18] long. At the very moment Israelis must [22:20] decide whether to replace the most [22:22] extreme government in the country's [22:24] history, London has provided that [22:26] government with an external enemy. [22:28] Netanyahu's campaign should consider [22:30] sending Miban a box of chocolates. There [22:33] is also a crucial distinction between [22:35] targeted accountability and collective [22:38] economic punishment. Here we go. This is [22:40] important. Sanctioning individuals who [22:43] organize or finance violence may be [22:45] justified when supported by evidence and [22:47] due process, but boycotting economic [22:50] activity affects workers, including [22:53] Palestinians, who do not design [22:55] settlement policy or financial support [22:57] and have no power over Israel's cabinet. [23:00] This brings me to a very important point [23:01] about this whole story, folks. A lot of [23:04] the, you know, the Okay, let me back up. [23:10] Arabs, Palestinians, what what are [23:12] called Palestinians, the Arabs who live [23:13] in Judea and Samaria, [23:16] in order to work in Israel, meaning not [23:18] in Judea and Samaria, in the rest of [23:20] Israel, they need a permit to cross over [23:22] at a security checkpoint to go to work [23:24] there. Those permits are harder to come [23:28] by now. [23:30] Israeli, a lot of Israelis do not want [23:32] to hire these people anymore [23:36] after October 7th. you know, like if [23:37] you're going to celebrate our our [23:39] massacre, it's kind of hard to want to [23:42] hire people from there. So, there's [23:43] there's been a lot less of it, a lot of [23:45] security concerns, [23:47] but [23:49] they can work freely. They can be hired [23:52] by [23:54] Jewish employers in Judea and Samaria. [23:57] So the companies in the settlements, [24:01] all these companies that are there, one [24:04] of the reasons that people establish [24:06] companies in Judea and Samaria, is [24:09] because there's abundant labor [24:11] available. And the jobs working for [24:13] Israeli companies pay way better than [24:14] anything they'll get in the Palestinian [24:16] areas. So there are thousands and [24:19] thousands of Palestinian families that [24:21] make their living working for these [24:23] Israeli companies. Okay? if you're going [24:26] to sanction them, if these sanctions are [24:28] going to work, if you're going to get [24:28] what you want, you're going to put lots [24:30] of Palestinians out of work, [24:33] as he points out in this piece. And [24:34] again, this guy is no fan of the [24:36] settlements. [24:38] And finally, just uh for a little [24:41] closing shot, Labor MP calls for UK [24:45] military action against Israel. This [24:46] lovely Labor MP, his name is Tahir Ali. [24:50] A Labour MP used a parliamentary debate [24:52] on the Israeli Palestinian conflict to [24:54] call for military action to be taken [24:56] against the Jewish state. Taher Ali who [24:58] represents Birmingham Hall Green and [25:01] Mosley intervened during a speech by Lib [25:03] Dem MP Richard Ford who said that Hamas [25:06] disarmament and disbandment must be part [25:08] of any lasting solution to the conflict. [25:10] And he said he interjected on the issue [25:12] of disarmament should we not also be [25:14] calling for Israel's disarmament given [25:16] the atrocities that have been committed? [25:18] Previous governments have intervened in [25:19] the Middle East to take action on human [25:21] rights abuses and protect international [25:23] trade routes. Is it not about time that [25:25] military action was taken against Israel [25:27] as well? This, my friends, is the state [25:30] of UK politics today. And you know, I'll [25:34] say something I said last time. Where [25:36] are the sanctions on the [25:40] Muslim states that outlaw Christianity [25:42] and have death penalties for converting? [25:46] and you know the p the widespread [25:48] persecution of Christians all across the [25:50] Middle East. Where's the sanctions on [25:52] those on those countries that enable and [25:55] often are the perpetrators of that [25:57] persecution? Never hear about that. [26:00] Never hear about that. [26:04] But you have to sanction Jewish [26:05] settlements on hilltops in Judea and [26:09] Samaria because of some fictional [26:11] occupation. [26:13] All right. Sorry, I'm a little bit [26:15] worked up. Thanks for watching. That's [26:18] my update on this story. We'll continue [26:20] to bring you more updates on it as it uh [26:22] as it develops, as I'm sure it will. But [26:24] mark my words. Mark my words, where this [26:27] is headed. See, look at what Norway did. [26:29] Where this is headed is [26:33] completely cutting off business with [26:35] Israel. And let me warn these countries. [26:40] When God said that, I will bless those [26:42] who bless you. When he said this to [26:43] Abraham, "And I will curse those who [26:45] curse you." [26:47] He was stating a rule. [26:49] It is a rule of nature. [26:53] If you are going to come out against the [26:56] Jewish people, just look at history. It [26:58] never works out well. [27:01] But it also it it anti-semitism [27:05] just it destroys societies. It destroys [27:09] nations. It destroys people. It just it [27:12] and and yes, this is anti-semitism [27:14] because the Jewish people have historic [27:17] roots that are so verifiable in East [27:21] Jerusalem, in Hebron, in all of these [27:24] places in Judea and Samaria. [27:27] And to say that we're not allowed to [27:30] live there and we're not allowed to have [27:32] businesses there because of some [27:34] fictional occupation of some fictional [27:36] Palestinian nation. [27:39] That is anti-semitism. [27:42] It is. Anyway, [27:45] God bless. Thanks for watching. Please [27:46] like, subscribe, all that stuff. And [27:48] share this video with someone who you [27:49] think maybe needs to see it. God bless.
