Transcript [00:00] I'm Eric Stacklebeck and we're keeping a [00:02] very close eye on Chinese Premier Xi [00:04] Jinping's official state visit to [00:06] Washington and his meetings with [00:08] President Trump. Some very big potential [00:11] implications there that we'll be [00:12] discussing in the coming days. But we [00:16] want to begin tonight with an urgent [00:18] prayer request. The son of Israel's [00:20] ambassador to the United States is in [00:23] critical condition after being gravely [00:25] injured in a Palestinian terror attack. [00:28] The incident happened on Wednesday as [00:30] 38-year-old Naria Lighter, an IDF [00:33] soldier and the son of Ambassador Yakil [00:35] Lighter, was working at a checkpoint in [00:37] the West Bank, which we know as the [00:39] biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria. [00:42] Nius suffered serious head injuries when [00:45] a Palestinian terrorist rammed his car [00:48] into him. And now he's fighting for his [00:50] life in a Jerusalem hospital. His [00:53] father, Ambassador Lighter, appears [00:55] frequently here on the show and is a [00:57] great man and a personal friend of mine. [00:59] Just three years ago, he lost another [01:01] son, Moshe, who was killed battling [01:04] Hamas terrorist in Gaza. Folks, I know [01:06] we have many prayer warriors who watch [01:09] this program every night. So, please [01:12] lift up Neria, Ambassador Lighter, and [01:14] their entire family in prayer. Never [01:17] forget that we serve a God of miracles. [01:20] And right now, Neria needs one. We'll [01:23] give you an update on his status as soon [01:25] as we have one. But in the meantime, [01:27] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin [01:29] Netanyahu spoke at the UN General [01:31] Assembly today and laid down the [01:33] gauntlet to the Iranian regime and its [01:35] proxies. BB's speech came just one day [01:38] after Iranian President Makmoud Peskian [01:41] vowed that Iran will never give up its [01:43] nuclear program. The US delegation [01:46] walked out during Peskian's speech, [01:48] which as you may have guessed was full [01:50] of lies and nonsense. Watch. [01:55] They martyed, assassinated our [01:57] scientists, our men, women, and [01:59] children. [02:02] Innocent children whom in truth had [02:04] committed no crimes, no sins. [02:08] Those who are terrorists and train and [02:11] protect terrorists [02:13] describe us as such. We have only [02:17] defended ourselves. We are not [02:19] terrorists. [02:22] Sure you're not. Now, you saw the US [02:24] delegation walking out there. It's very [02:26] interesting that Pzeskian falsely accuse [02:29] the United States of killing children [02:31] because his regime is doing that every [02:34] single day. The regime is now reportedly [02:37] training Iranian boys, some as young as [02:40] 12 years old, to take part in so-called [02:44] self-sacrifice missions. Translation: [02:47] Iran's revolutionary guards are raising [02:49] up a new generation of suicide bombers. [02:53] They did the same thing in the 1980s [02:55] during the Iran Iraq war. Back then, [02:58] they sent thousands of young Iranian [03:00] boys to clear minefields, promising them [03:03] they'd be martyrs who would spend [03:05] eternity in paradise with Allah, if they [03:09] would just blow themselves up. For [03:11] nearly 50 years, Iran's regime has been [03:14] a demonic force with no regard for human [03:17] life, even children. Radical Islamic [03:20] fanatics cannot be reasoned with or [03:23] appeased. And a powerful new film from [03:26] the Daily Wire drives that point home [03:29] just when Americans need to hear it [03:31] most. [03:31] >> Significant movement in history started [03:33] with protesting a [03:34] >> traitor. Uncle Tom, [03:35] >> this is our generation civil rights. I [03:37] >> have no idea what the protest is about. [03:39] >> Bingo. [03:39] >> Given the current climate, should a [03:41] figure as polarizing as Clay Saunders [03:44] even be allowed on campus? [03:45] >> Uh, can you hear me? Okay. [03:46] >> Saunders is a close personal friend of [03:48] Chancellor Freeman, this is a decision I [03:49] cannot fight. [03:50] >> Islam will conquer the West. [03:56] Are we paying attention? [03:59] >> They've taken over the building. They're [04:00] downstairs and they've blocked the [04:01] doors. [04:03] >> I seek forgiveness from Allah the [04:06] Almighty. [04:07] >> We cannot run and hide. [04:09] >> Muhammad is the messenger of God. [04:13] There is no God but Allah. [04:16] >> What do you say? We turn those sobs [04:20] into a fine red mist. As we move, one [04:23] man will cover while the other guys go. [04:25] >> They call that leap frogging. [04:26] >> Stretch your mouth and listen. [04:29] >> You need a course in safe weapons [04:32] handling. [04:37] >> Wow. Folks, this is a powerful and [04:40] timely film. Run, hide, fight infidels [04:43] is streaming right now exclusively at [04:45] the Daily Wire. It's a mustsee. And [04:48] joining me now is one of the film's [04:50] producers and Daily Wire co-founder Ben [04:52] Shapiro. Ben, always great to see you. [04:54] Hey, I love the film. And I'm saying as [04:57] I'm watching it, about time we've seen [05:00] IRA terrorist, Eastern European [05:02] terrorist, all form of terrorist on the [05:04] screen, but never, it seems, Islamic [05:07] terrorist. Why was now the time, Ben, to [05:09] make this film? [05:11] >> I mean, obviously the 25th anniversary [05:12] of 911 was coming up when we put this [05:14] film into production. And the risk of [05:17] radical Islam around the world was [05:18] growing. I mean, this came out when we [05:20] started producing this well before the [05:22] president decided to intervene in Iran. [05:24] But obviously, the United States had [05:26] already performed Operation Midnight [05:28] Hammer. We had seen October 7th. We had [05:30] seen uh sporadic terrorist attacks all [05:32] around the West, including here in the [05:34] United States. and the fact that the [05:36] mainstream media in the United States [05:38] had decided to basically keep repeating [05:40] the nostrum that Islam is a religion of [05:41] peace over and over in order to combat [05:44] the reality which is that political [05:45] Islam, Islam as a political movement has [05:48] been a repressive force literally [05:49] everywhere on earth that it has been [05:51] tried and that Muslim majority nations [05:53] that use Islam as a governing feature of [05:55] their system are not in fact free. They [05:57] are directly at odds with the values [05:59] that we hold dear in the west ranging [06:01] from values of free speech to values of [06:03] freedom of religion. You know, that is a [06:05] point that nobody in Hollywood will ever [06:06] make. And so we decided to produce the [06:08] film written and directed by Kyle Rankin [06:10] that actually takes on the question of [06:12] radical Islam and actually treats [06:15] radical Muslim terrorists as people who [06:18] say things and do things in the world. [06:20] Because again, the only way that [06:21] Hollywood tends to treat this subject is [06:23] is when they're treating people as [06:24] victims of American foreign policy. [06:26] Let's put it this way. You're [06:27] significantly more likely to see a [06:28] Hollywood movie with an American [06:29] corporation causing mass murder than you [06:31] are to see a Hollywood movie with [06:33] radical Muslims causing mass murder [06:35] despite the fact the latter is [06:36] significantly more likely than the [06:37] former. [06:38] >> Yeah, no doubt. I think that's the [06:39] reason why more and more Americans are [06:40] turning to great sources like the Daily [06:42] Wire for great films like this. And Ben, [06:44] the backdrop of the film, it's a pro [06:47] Palestinian encampment on a college [06:49] campus. Obviously, we've seen a bunch of [06:51] that since October 7th. And an [06:53] interesting thread here, an unholy [06:55] alliance we see on college campuses [06:57] between the left and Islamists. I mean, [07:00] that's very true to life. Talk more [07:01] about that. We see it in Europe. We see [07:03] it here in America. It seems they have [07:05] the shared desire to bring down [07:07] Judeo-Christian Western civilization. [07:09] >> Yeah. I mean, the film really is sort of [07:11] taking what's going on on campus to the [07:13] logical extreme. So, one of the most [07:15] obvious examples of this is the sort of [07:17] queers for Palestine movement that you [07:18] see on college campuses. The the the or [07:20] chickens for KFC. you know, people who [07:23] are directly opposed to the values of [07:25] Islam, who then are encouraging radical [07:28] Islamic terror groups to win in the [07:29] Middle East and and Western societies to [07:31] import vast numbers of people from [07:33] dysfunctional societies that abide by [07:35] precisely those kinds of of ideas. And [07:38] the only reason that that they have [07:39] anything in common is because they [07:40] dislike the West so much. So if you want [07:42] the West ripped down to the root, then [07:44] you join what people have called the Red [07:46] Green Alliance. And so in the film, we [07:47] take that to the logical extreme except [07:49] that we actually have terrorists arrive [07:50] on campus and then we see what happens [07:52] to queers for Palestine when they're [07:54] actually faced with an ISIS-like group [07:56] on campus or a Hamasike group on campus. [07:58] And it turns out that the consiliation [08:00] goes away pretty quickly as as people [08:03] have seen in some of the clips that have [08:04] gone viral online. [08:05] >> Yeah, we saw this in 1979, of course, [08:07] when the Marxists supported the [08:09] Ayatollah's rise to power. Didn't end so [08:11] well for the left in Iran. Needless to [08:13] say, so a cautionary tale. Hey, Jonathan [08:15] Major, star of the film, great actor. [08:17] He's been Marvel, a Creed film, a big [08:20] name, and yet he's being slammed [08:22] predictably, Ben, by the left, critics [08:24] of the film, saying he's an Islamophobe, [08:27] etc. Talk more about that response and [08:29] what it says about the sad state of [08:31] Hollywood and the left in general. [08:34] >> I mean, let's put it this way. If [08:35] Jonathan Major had made a film that was [08:37] viciously anti-Christian, then he would [08:39] have been cheered and he'd probably be [08:40] up for an Oscar. The the thing that the [08:41] critics are very upset about is that [08:42] Jonathan Major worked with us, right? [08:44] The fact that we actually have people in [08:46] Hollywood who are willing to do films [08:47] with us is the thing that that people [08:49] are are quite upset about. If they're [08:50] upset about that, then they need to wait [08:51] about two months and they're going to be [08:53] even more upset because it turns out [08:55] that actually there are a lot of people [08:56] who are willing to make film as long as [08:58] they believe in the the actual film. [09:00] Jonathan read the script. He liked the [09:02] script. He talked about this openly with [09:04] with some of the folks at Morning Wire [09:05] here at Daily Wire and and he and he [09:07] felt some sympatico with with the [09:10] feelings of the character that he was [09:11] playing and he he saw it as a way to [09:13] sort of explore the question of radical [09:14] Islam in the United States and the [09:15] infiltration of that into into the [09:17] United States and he was ripped [09:18] specifically for that. He had done [09:21] something for Botan. Now again the [09:22] people in Hollywood who you know can can [09:24] do literally anything on screen anything [09:26] on screen. I mean we're talking [09:27] everything from rape to incest. You can [09:30] play any of those things, but if you [09:31] play a character who says that Islam is [09:33] a threat to the West, as a civilization, [09:35] which happens to have been sort of the [09:37] case for the last 1400 years, if you say [09:40] that in a film, then this is the thing [09:42] that Hollywood is going to be very upset [09:43] and all the critics are going to be very [09:44] upset at you for for having done. And I [09:46] think that's kind of telling, Ben, so [09:48] well said. Again, folks, run, hide, [09:50] fight, Infidel. Stream it right now. [09:52] Dailywire.com. It is a mustsee. Believe [09:56] me, you want to see this film. Hey, [09:57] switching gears a bit, but kind of in [09:59] the same vein. We're talking about [10:00] Islamism and kind of the global capital [10:03] of radical Islam and anti-semitism, of [10:05] course, is the Iranian regime. President [10:08] Peskian Ben was at the UN yesterday and [10:10] basically laid down the gauntlet, said, [10:12] "We're not giving up our nuclear [10:13] program. We're going to continue to [10:16] resist." President Trump in his UN [10:18] address said, "Look, I'm trying to make [10:19] a decision what to do here. Do we [10:21] annihilate the regime? Do we kind of [10:22] bleed them economically? Do we do a [10:24] deal?" How do you see this playing out? [10:27] >> In the end, the United States is going [10:28] to be forced by Iran to continue to [10:31] essentially throttle it because Iran is [10:33] not going to stop with its nuclear [10:34] program. The United States could [10:36] essentially end the Iranian economy by [10:38] bombing Kar Island and bombing South [10:40] Paris oil fields, which I've been [10:42] advocating essentially since April. And [10:43] then the United States wouldn't really [10:44] even have to worry about the Suez Canal [10:46] because Iran would have no capacity to [10:47] ship a single dollars worth of oil out [10:49] of an area because they can't even [10:50] refine the oil at that point. The [10:51] president's been hesitant because he [10:53] wants the the Iranian people to suffer [10:55] less. But the reality is that a long [10:56] slow bleed of their economy is still [10:58] going to be very hard on the Iranian [11:00] people. You know, that said, the only [11:02] thing that is eventually going to end [11:03] the regime in Iran is either some sort [11:05] of outside force like say the Kurds [11:06] crossing the border from Iraq into Iran [11:08] and working with Iranian Kurds or a move [11:10] from Azarbaijan or a move from [11:12] Baluchistan, right? Like there there are [11:14] certain moves that could be done. the [11:15] the people could rise up and it could be [11:17] that the regime doesn't have the [11:18] capacity to continue paying the besiege [11:20] and the IRGC to mow people down in the [11:22] streets. Or maybe the army eventually [11:24] decides, you know what, we're tired of [11:26] mowing people down just because they [11:27] don't have food. [11:28] >> It's a modern-day Nazi death cult with [11:30] an apocalyptic ideology, Ben, as you [11:33] just laid out. Hey, the midterms around [11:35] the corner, of course. How do you see [11:36] this shaping up, Ben? Of course, Iran's [11:38] going to be a big issue people will be [11:39] weighing. But I think it ties in to run, [11:43] hide, fight infidels, your great new [11:44] film at the Daily Wire in that we've got [11:46] Islamists running for Senate, uh, [11:49] Congress. We've got communist and [11:50] self-avoued socialist as well who are [11:52] working alongside those very Islamist [11:54] all running for office. They may be, god [11:56] forbid, on Capitol Hill not too long [11:59] from now. How do you see this shaping up [12:01] right now? [12:02] >> You know, obviously the midterms are [12:03] generally a referendum on the president [12:04] in power. They tend to follow the [12:06] presidential approval rating. I think [12:07] that that people are misreading [12:09] disapproval for the president as [12:11] approval for say Abdul Al sayed in [12:13] Michigan who is a proterrorism candidate [12:15] or Amil Kiro in Colorado or Adam Hami [12:17] who actually did legal work on behalf of [12:19] terrorist groups and and the blind [12:21] shake. I mean it is insane who the [12:22] Democrats are willing to put in Congress [12:24] at this point. That said, I I don't [12:26] think that you're going to see a a [12:27] fullcale blue tsunami. I think you'll [12:29] see a pretty solid blue wave. If I had [12:31] to, you know, put money on it right now, [12:33] I'd say the Republicans hold the Senate [12:34] very, very narrowly. I I don't think the [12:37] Republicans are going to lose Maine. I [12:38] think the Republicans are going to [12:39] maintain Alaska. I think the Republicans [12:40] will maintain Iowa, which means the [12:42] swing state is essentially going to be [12:44] Texas because I think that there is a [12:46] decent shot that Democrats take Ohio. [12:50] And unfortunately, I think there's a [12:51] decent shot Democrats take Michigan, [12:52] which is why everybody needs to get out [12:53] and vote in Michigan. Just because [12:55] you're dispic with the cost of living, [12:57] don't allow terrorists to be in the [12:59] terrorist supporters to be in the United [13:00] States Senate. That seems like a bad [13:01] idea. [13:04] >> Welcome back to Stackle Bet. Tonight, [13:06] Christianity was born in the Middle [13:09] East. Now, some 2,000 years later, some [13:12] of its oldest communities are fighting [13:14] to survive. But in Israel, it's a very [13:18] different story. Christians are still [13:20] worshiping, raising families, building [13:23] careers, and helping shape the country's [13:25] future. I recently sat down with [13:27] Israel's special envoy to the Christian [13:30] world, Ambassador George Deak, to [13:32] separate fact from fiction and get the [13:36] real story about what life is actually [13:38] like for Christians in Israel. Take a [13:41] look, [13:44] ambassador. Always great to see you. [13:46] Hey, we see these social media memes and [13:50] lowlights, not highlights, accusing [13:52] Israel of persecuting Christians and [13:54] being unfriendly to Christians. [13:56] Ambassador, you were raised as a [13:57] Christian in Jaffa in Israel. Give us a [14:00] sense of what life is really like for [14:03] Christians on the ground. And by the [14:04] way, I've been to Israel some 30 times [14:06] and I know that Christians are welcomed [14:08] in the Jewish state with open arms. [14:12] Thanks, Eric, for this opportunity to [14:14] really tell the truth about Christian [14:16] life in the state of Israel. Um, I [14:19] myself am a Christian. I was the first [14:21] Israeli Christian ambassador in Israel's [14:23] history when I was appointed 2019 to [14:25] Azarba. And I'm very proud to say that [14:28] while we see the persecution of [14:30] Christian communities throughout the [14:31] Middle East, you know, in Iraq, the [14:33] Christian community is diminished from [14:35] uh over one and a half million people to [14:38] less than 200,000 today. In Syria, only [14:41] the city of Aleppo from 200,000 to less [14:43] than 20,000 today. And in Lebanon, they [14:47] don't even count the people to not to [14:49] find out how little Christians are left. [14:51] Not to mention the persecutions in Egypt [14:53] and other places. However, there's one [14:55] place in the entire region from Morocco [14:58] all the way to Afghanistan where [15:00] Christian community is actually growing [15:02] in numbers. That place is my country, [15:04] Israel. In 1950, we had 34,000 [15:07] Christians. Today we have 185,000 [15:09] Christians. That's five times higher. We [15:12] have 300 churches, which is double the [15:14] amount of churches we had 70 years ago. [15:17] But it's not just the numbers. It is [15:19] also how we live. In Israel, Christians [15:22] serve in the highest levels of the [15:24] government, of the public sector, of the [15:26] private sector, of the military, of the [15:28] medical services, and even as [15:30] ambassadors. We're very proud to live in [15:33] this community that really stands out in [15:35] the sea of persecution against Christian [15:37] communities. And I hope when we see all [15:41] those voices coming from left and from [15:43] right trying to drive a wedge between uh [15:46] Israel and Christians, it's dangerous [15:49] because there are people like me and my [15:50] community who live here and we live [15:53] under the protection, the firewall that [15:55] Israel gives to minorities, including [15:58] Christians, to live here in peace. And [16:00] when you attack Israel, you endanger us [16:02] as well. [16:03] >> No doubt. Hey, we've got this [16:04] disinformation campaign on social media. [16:06] I think of people like Tucker Carlson, [16:08] for instance, that paint Israel again as [16:10] this oppressive place for Christians. [16:12] There have been isolated incidents of [16:14] Christians being attacked, but these are [16:16] isolated incidents. Ambassador, talk [16:19] more about that, how that isn't a [16:20] representative of Israel as a nation and [16:23] normal life for Christians in in the [16:25] Jewish state. and number two, your [16:28] position, first ever uh envoy to the [16:31] Christian world. Talk about that as [16:33] well. [16:35] >> So, it's important to me not to cover up [16:39] or try to minimize anything. When I see [16:41] Christian clergy or Christian person or [16:43] Christian symbol being attacked anywhere [16:45] in the world as a Christian and as a [16:47] human being, I'm offended and I take it [16:50] very deeply. And the same goes for [16:52] Israel. when we see those incidents even [16:54] if they are indeed isolated and do not [16:56] represent the the the general Israeli [16:59] society then I am also uh I take it to [17:03] heart and that's why these events must [17:06] be condemned must be punished period and [17:10] that's exactly what we are doing when we [17:12] find people who desecrate a cross like [17:14] happened once in Lebanon or when a nun [17:17] was pushed in Jerusalem and so on when [17:20] these events happen those people end up [17:22] in prison. Period. While we hold those [17:25] people accountable, it is important to [17:27] remember that [17:30] you know people are targeted in many [17:32] places all over the world. For example, [17:34] in Spain, you have a rise of uh of 300% [17:39] of anti-semitic attacks in the last [17:41] year. That's according to the Ministry [17:42] of Interior of Spain. It doesn't make [17:45] Spain an anti-Jewish country. When in [17:48] Britain we see a huge rise in [17:50] anti-semitism, it doesn't make them an [17:51] anti-semitic country. The same goes for [17:53] Israel. All those who are trying to take [17:55] those isolated incidents and to portray [17:58] them as representative of the Israeli [18:01] population at large are simply trying to [18:04] saw misinformation and disinformation in [18:07] the public that is uh listening to them. [18:10] And part of the struggle of trying to [18:12] improve our relations and to make sure [18:14] that we that we deepen our friendship [18:17] and bonds with the Christian world, [18:19] whether it is in Europe or especially in [18:21] the United States or in South America or [18:23] Africa and everywhere, uh is the fact [18:26] that I was appointed the first ever [18:28] special envoy by Israel to the Christian [18:30] world. In fact, no other country in the [18:33] world has such a position. And it's not [18:35] a coincidence. Instead of asking why [18:37] now, I think the question is why did we [18:40] wait until now? Because the relationship [18:42] between Israel and the Christian world [18:44] is not like any other. We are living in [18:46] the place where Christianity was born. [18:50] My position is to make sure that that [18:53] dialogue and that relationship only [18:55] continues to deepen going forward. [18:57] >> Yeah, Ambassador, so well said. And [18:59] you're walking where Jesus walked. [19:00] That's why I encourage every follower of [19:02] Jesus to visit Israel. And hey, we've [19:04] got a great opportunity coming up in [19:06] 2030. Now, we hope you get there sooner, [19:08] but 2030 still the 2,000-year [19:12] anniversary of the baptism of Jesus. I [19:14] know you've got some big plans. Israel [19:16] has some big plans centering around that [19:18] event. Ambassador, tell us more about [19:19] that. We got about a minute left. [19:22] >> So, very shortly, these are very [19:24] important years, 2030 and 2033. In 2030, [19:27] we're going to celebrate the baptism, [19:28] 2,000 years for the baptism. And we have [19:30] big plans to make sure that every [19:32] Christian can come to the river Jordan [19:34] to the Sea of Galilee and be baptized [19:37] there. Uh we're going to help [19:39] handicapped people and others who are [19:40] usually not able to go there to be able [19:42] to access it. And we have even big, you [19:45] know, fantasies, ideas. I hope they will [19:48] come reality. Even building a glass [19:50] bridge over the Sea of Galilee so that [19:53] people can walk on water just like Jesus [19:55] walked on water. Less miraculously, but [19:58] still the same experience. Wow, [20:00] Ambassador, pretty amazing. Thank you [20:02] for all you're doing to spread the truth [20:04] about what life is really like for [20:06] Christians in Israel, for Christian [20:07] tourist in Israel. You're doing amazing [20:09] work, Ambassador. We appreciate. We'll [20:11] see you again soon. God bless.
