Transcript [00:00] Alon, what did you think of Benjamin [00:01] Netanyahu's speech? I mean, he was right [00:04] to it. He did not hold back. He hit on a [00:07] lot of different topics, but [00:08] specifically narrowed in on on what [00:10] we're seeing on the global stage and and [00:12] all this reaction to the anti-semitism. [00:15] >> Yeah, I don't think this was Netanyahu's [00:17] finest speech, but his message was very [00:19] clear. We are defending civilization [00:21] from barbarism. You all know it, and you [00:24] are all hypocrites. Israel is now 3 [00:27] years into a sevenfront war that began [00:31] with Hamas's barbaric atrocities on [00:34] October 7th. A war that has claimed [00:36] really a huge cost in Israel in which [00:39] Israel found itself fighting a terrorist [00:41] army that had dug a network of tunnels [00:44] under homes, under schools, under [00:45] mosques, and under hospitals. And [00:47] Netanyahu is turning to the UN audience, [00:49] those still in the audience, and saying, [00:51] "You are all absolute hypocrites behind [00:54] the scenes. You're asking us for help [00:56] behind the scenes. You're saying, "Thank [00:57] you for knocking out Iran's nuclear [00:59] weapons program. Uh, but you're playing [01:01] to the gallery and you're walking out in [01:03] what is really a pathetic stunt that [01:05] makes the United Nations even more of a [01:08] circus than it already is." So, a very [01:11] clear message there saying, "Israel is [01:12] standing up for itself. Israel standing [01:14] up for the world and we're going to [01:16] continue doing it whether you recognize [01:18] it or not." [01:18] >> Yeah. Just on the walk out though, I [01:20] want to make a point because I've been [01:21] there every single day this week and [01:23] that hall is is empty for most people's [01:26] speeches. People aren't there. They're [01:28] never speaking to a full hall. And those [01:30] people made a point of walking back in [01:33] during the speech during Colombia's [01:35] speech beforehand just so they could [01:37] perform that work walk out. So really, [01:40] it was all performative. It didn't [01:42] really mean anything. Um, but Asher, I [01:44] want to bring you into the conversation [01:45] and ask your opinion on his speech. Do [01:47] you think that Netanyahu put up a good [01:50] case for Israel under so much scrutiny [01:52] from all the other countries that we've [01:54] heard so far on that stage this week? [01:57] >> Well, I think he did put a good case. He [01:59] helped expose some of the lies, some of [02:01] the falsehoods, which I think is one of [02:03] the reasons why the people, some of the [02:04] people in the audience just didn't want [02:06] to hear. They didn't want to be [02:07] confronted with the facts, with the [02:09] expert opinions like that of John [02:11] Spencer, which he brought in regarding [02:13] Israel's vast efforts to avoid civilian [02:16] casualties in its sevenfront war. As [02:19] Alone said, the UN is a body. We just [02:22] published a piece of research. There are [02:23] over 30 uh committees and bodies and [02:26] departments and officials in the UN that [02:29] are involved in demonizing Israel, dele [02:32] delegitimizing Israel. In some ways, the [02:33] UN has become the engine of this global [02:36] campaign to demonize Israel, to deny its [02:39] right to defend itself. So to have [02:41] Netanyahu stand up there and say, "This [02:43] is what we're doing." And you know what? [02:45] If the choice is between continuing to [02:48] combat the Iranian regime and the [02:50] terrorists that threaten us, or having [02:52] more people in the hall, well, we're [02:54] going to choose to continue defending [02:55] our nation and our people, even if it [02:57] leads to some people, as you quite [02:59] rightly said, performatively walking out [03:01] of the hall. Alon, I got to get to the [03:03] protests that were happening outside of [03:05] the UN. Uh, you also had Prime Minister [03:08] Benjamin Netanyahu addressing that. He [03:10] says, "You all are hypocrites." The fact [03:12] that you are coming here to protest [03:14] what's happening uh uh with with the [03:17] Palestinians. But he says, "Well, what's [03:20] about Iran when they were killing their [03:22] own people? You're killing your own [03:24] protesters in their country." So, he [03:26] called them fake protesters. What was [03:27] your take on that? Yeah, this [03:30] anti-Israel movement is not a set of [03:32] protests. It is a cult. It is a cult [03:34] that has whipped itself into a moral [03:37] hysteria based on a campaign of lies. [03:40] And every single one of those lies about [03:42] the so-called Gaza genocide. That hoax [03:45] is collapsing. With every day that goes [03:47] by, we learn about more so-called [03:50] journalists who are Hamas combatants in [03:53] disguise, more so-called doctors who are [03:55] again Hamas combatants in scrubs. But [03:58] for the last 3 years, these people have [04:00] been fed propaganda upon propaganda [04:03] against a democratic state defending [04:05] itself from a terrorist army that [04:08] violated every rule in the international [04:10] law book. And they now see this as the [04:13] moral cause of their generation. They [04:15] find themselves standing on the same [04:17] side as the terrorists who perpetrated [04:19] the October 7th massacre and not the [04:21] only country in the Middle East that is [04:23] fighting shoulderto-shoulder with the [04:25] United States. So I think we need to be [04:26] really concerned about how this [04:28] anti-ionist hate movement is leading to [04:31] real political violence in the United [04:33] States, in Canada, around the world. And [04:35] understand that there is nothing [04:37] spontaneous about this. This is the [04:39] result of years of deliberate [04:42] information warfare being waged against [04:44] America's number one ally in the Middle [04:46] East in support of the most barbaric [04:49] terrorists of the century. [04:50] >> Yeah, well said. Uh Asher Alon, thank [04:52] you so much for coming on and and [04:54] shedding some light on on that speech. [04:56] Pleasure. Clearly, it's going to be [04:57] analyzed here for the days to come. [04:59] >> Thanks, gentlemen.
Delegates walk out of Benjamin Netanyahu’s UN speech and protesters gather outside. Eylon Levy argues that the spectacle reflects something more dangerous: a campaign of propaganda fuelling hostility to Israel and political violence abroad.
In this Newsmax panel broadcast on 25 September 2026, Eylon Levy, former Israeli national spokesman, joins Asher Fredman to assess Netanyahu’s address and the reaction inside and outside the United Nations.
- Levy questions whether this was Netanyahu’s finest speech, while defending its central message about Israel’s war against Hamas and Iran’s allies.
- The panel challenges the UN walkout, with Levy describing it as a “pathetic stunt”.
- Fredman argues that UN institutions have become an engine of efforts to demonise and delegitimise Israel.
- Levy calls the anti-Israel movement a cult driven by what he describes as moral hysteria and a campaign of lies.
- He warns that information warfare against Israel is contributing to political violence in the United States, Canada and beyond.
The discussion moves from the diplomacy of the General Assembly to the consequences of the rhetoric outside it. Levy argues that Israel’s fight against terrorist groups and its relationship with the United States are being distorted by a sustained campaign to undermine its legitimacy.
