Description (by owner on YouTube)

The Houthis just made their largest territorial gains in years, seizing the port city of Mocha, the island of Mayun inside the Bab al Mandeb Strait, and now the islands of Greater and Lesser Hanish in the southern Red Sea. At the same time, Saudi Arabia's east west pipeline, its critical backup oil route running more than 1,200 kilometers across the entire country, was struck by drones blamed on Iranian backed militias in Iraq and will be out of service for three to five weeks. Iran is now executing a two point squeeze. The Strait of Hormuz to the east is effectively shut down since the war began, with Iran continuing to fire missiles and threaten vessels at Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island. The Bab al Mandeb Strait to the west is now under Houthi strategic control. Saudi Arabia's backup pipeline is also out of service. Brent crude has hit $109. A shipping company is not going to gamble a hundred million dollar vessel on Houthi assurances after what they have already done to commercial shipping. The closure does not require sinking a single ship. More than 100 American military advisors are now on the ground in Saudi Arabia, providing intelligence and geospatial targeting support. MBS called Trump at least twice asking for direct U.S. military strikes. Trump said no, for now. Jake breaks down the map, Iran's strategy, what this is doing to oil prices, and how quickly the distance between advisory support and direct military involvement can disappear.
