Transcript [00:02] The Jerusalem channel is made with the [00:04] support of you, our viewers. Thank you [00:07] for watching. [00:12] No matter how much you keep up with the [00:14] secular news, it's those who read and [00:17] study the Bible who really understand [00:19] what state our world is in. Today in [00:22] this prophecy update, I want to address [00:24] at least three issues. First of all, [00:27] troublesome trends within the churches, [00:30] including mockery of the second coming. [00:34] Secondly, we'll look at prophetic [00:35] developments regarding the nation of [00:37] Israel. And finally, I want to address [00:40] surviving and thriving in the midst of [00:43] sickness. [00:56] Shalom. I'm Christine Dar. We keep [00:59] hearing from many quarters in the [01:01] evangelical churches about the [01:03] sooncoming great move of God. The coming [01:06] great move of God. While all [01:09] evangelicals should strive for revivals [01:11] to top up what Jesus referred to as the [01:14] fullness of the Gentiles in the church [01:16] age, we should also keep in mind that [01:19] Jesus rebuked his generation for not [01:23] correctly reading the signs of the [01:25] times. [01:26] Yes, I do believe a great revival is [01:29] coming. But I believe scripture teaches [01:32] that the greatest harvest of souls, a [01:35] multitude that no man could number, will [01:38] happen during the great tribulation [01:40] period as prophesied in Revelation 79. [01:46] And that verse declares, "After this, I [01:48] beheld in lo a great multitude which no [01:52] man could number of all nations and [01:55] kindreds and people and tongues standing [01:58] before the throne and before the Lamb, [02:01] clothed with white robes and palms in [02:04] their hands." Evangelicals continually [02:08] prophesy about the coming glory of the [02:10] Lord. And yes, the glory of the Lord and [02:13] the knowledge of the Lord will cover the [02:16] earth, but not until the millennium when [02:20] Jesus returns to rule from Jerusalem for [02:23] a thousand years. When Jesus returns to [02:26] rule, that's when the knowledge and [02:29] glory of the Lord will cover this earth. [02:32] And thankfully, Satan will be bound for [02:35] a thousand years. [02:38] Concerning the present mindset of [02:40] people, the Apostle Peter wrote that in [02:44] the last days mockers will come with [02:46] their mocking, following their own lust [02:48] and saying, "Where is the promise of his [02:51] coming? For all things have continued [02:54] exactly as they did from the beginning [02:56] of creation." [02:59] This means the previously revered [03:01] doctrine of the second coming will [03:04] receive special ridicule in the last [03:06] days. And the ridicule won't come only [03:09] from the secular world. What's [03:11] especially disheartening is that the [03:13] mockery also comes from within the [03:17] institutional churches. [03:19] Although this betrayal is tragic, we [03:22] shouldn't be surprised because the [03:25] Apostle Paul also wrote in 2 Timothy 4:3 [03:30] that the time will come and the time has [03:32] come when church people will not endure [03:36] sound doctrine, but craving to have [03:38] their ears tickled. He said, "They will [03:41] accumulate for themselves teachers in [03:43] line with their own desires, and they'll [03:45] turn their ears away from the truth and [03:48] will turn aside to myths." [03:52] Well, I looked up both the Greek and the [03:54] Amplified Bible concerning this verse, [03:56] and this word myths means man-made [04:00] fictions. [04:02] Well, isn't that current? There are some [04:05] tall tales being spun for the gullible, [04:07] especially on the internet. [04:10] And so professing believers will accept [04:12] the unacceptable and chase after [04:15] religious fads and fanciful spiritual [04:18] stories. [04:19] People just won't have a stomach for [04:21] solid doctrinal food. Instead, they'll [04:25] fill up on spiritual junk food. They'll [04:28] turn their backs on truth and chase [04:30] after mirages. [04:33] But you, the Bible admonishes you and me [04:37] to accept the hard times and keep being [04:40] God's servants. Now, please hear me [04:43] carefully. I believe in the visionary [04:45] realm. I believe in the New Testament [04:47] gift of prophecy. And we have to be very [04:50] discerning and astute and not be [04:53] starruck by everybody who claims to be [04:55] speaking for God. [04:58] In fact, the internet has become a [04:59] dangerous net of all sorts of folly. [05:03] People draw others to themselves by [05:05] claiming titles like apostle and [05:07] prophet, and they trade in grandiose [05:10] visions of their latest dream, sometimes [05:13] going into very laborious details, [05:17] much longer in detail than any that I've [05:20] read by the biblical prophets. And [05:23] astonishingly, [05:24] they can do this almost on a weekly [05:27] basis. [05:29] The reason there's so much teaching [05:30] today about trips to heaven and visions [05:32] of a worldwide revival is because that's [05:36] what people crave to hear. In Jeremiah [05:40] 5:31, God said, "The prophets prophesy [05:44] falsely, and my people love to have it [05:47] so." And in this regard, human nature [05:51] hasn't changed. The success of the [05:54] tickling ears prophets is due to their [05:56] appeal to popular messages. [05:59] Earnest people like to believe that the [06:01] world is growing better and better all [06:04] the time. Although the Apostle Paul [06:07] prophesied in 2 Timothy 3:13 [06:11] that evildoers and impostors will go [06:14] from bad to worse, deceiving and being [06:17] deceived. [06:20] Well, I received a letter from a woman [06:22] in the UK who was not paying sufficient [06:25] attention to the signs of the times. And [06:28] this woman wanted to straighten me out [06:30] for believing in the pre-tribulational [06:32] rapture of the church. She wrote that [06:35] God is about to pour out his glory upon [06:37] the whole earth and so he couldn't [06:40] possibly be planning to rapture his [06:43] bride away. In other words, she was not [06:47] anticipating the imminent appearing of [06:49] Jesus. [06:51] But historically, the church has always [06:53] taught that a believer's desire should [06:55] be related to the return of Jesus. That [06:58] desire or lack of desire is a spiritual [07:02] barometer. [07:03] If a bride is not looking forward to [07:05] seeing her bridegroom, the ferveny of [07:08] her love can be questioned. [07:11] Well, this correspondent had compiled [07:13] for me many prophecies by various [07:16] apostles and prophets that Britain is [07:18] soon going to be covered with the glory [07:20] of God. Another claiming to be a prophet [07:23] said, "Everything is about to change [07:25] suddenly. We're moving into a season of [07:29] suddenlies." [07:31] Well, the suddenly of God has become a [07:33] platitude in standard prophetic words. I [07:37] hope I don't sound jaded and I do [07:39] believe in the gift of prophecy and I've [07:42] been blessed by it many times and I also [07:44] prophesy. But the content of many [07:47] prophecies indicates that the people [07:49] prophesying are not correctly dividing [07:53] God's word. In fact, a major wakeup call [07:57] for the church is the reemergence of the [07:59] state of Israel. [08:01] We're living in the midst of prophecies [08:03] being fulfilled before our eyes [08:06] concerning the nation of Israel. And [08:08] according to Daniel 9:27, the event that [08:11] will begin the 7-year tribulation period [08:14] is going to be a peace treaty between [08:16] Antichrist and Israel. and then in the [08:19] midst of this seven-year period, he will [08:22] stop the sacrifices in a rebuilt temple. [08:26] The fact that according to a new court [08:28] ruling, Jews can now pray on the Temple [08:30] Mount is another step closer to these [08:33] prophetic events coming to pass and soon [08:36] a deal will be made for the third temple [08:38] to be raised up. And this all indicates [08:42] the rapture of the church is very near. [08:45] Thankfully, many believers are aware of [08:48] God's timing that the rapture is soon. [08:50] Just as in the days of the prophet [08:52] Elijah, the people knew that Elijah was [08:55] about to be translated to heaven. In 2 [08:59] Kings chapter 2 and verse 11, as Elijah [09:02] and his proteéé Elisha were walking and [09:05] talking, behold, there appeared a [09:07] chariot of fire and horses of fire [09:10] separating the two of them. And Elijah [09:13] went up by a whirlwind to heaven. [09:16] But Elisha was not the only eyewitness [09:19] to this rapture event. We're told in 2 [09:22] Kings 2:7 that 50 of the sons of the [09:26] prophets stood opposite them at a [09:28] distance. [09:29] So there were actually 51 witnesses to [09:32] the rapture of Elijah. [09:36] Elijah knew it was coming by the spirit [09:38] of revelation. Elisha also knew about [09:41] the pending rapture as noted frequently [09:45] in 2 Kings chapter 2. [09:48] Also, many others in the vicinity knew [09:50] by the spirit of revelation that God was [09:52] coming to collect Elijah. [09:55] The prophetic college at Bethl had been [09:58] divinely forewarned of Elijah's [10:00] departure. According to 2 Kings 2:3, [10:05] members of the guild of the sons of the [10:08] prophets at Bethl came out to Elisha and [10:11] said to him, "Do you know the Lord will [10:13] take away your master today?" And Elisha [10:16] said, "Yes, I know. Be still." Or as [10:20] some translations put it, "Hold your [10:22] peace." You see, Elisha was expectantly [10:25] watching as if holding his breath. And [10:28] so he said, "Hush." He was on pins and [10:32] needles and the commentaries indicate [10:34] that he didn't want to chatter about [10:36] something so sacred. He was saying, "Let [10:39] me watch and don't suppose you're wiser [10:41] than anyone else. Be a little modest and [10:44] a little reticent." [10:46] Well, prophetic people in Jericho were [10:49] also aware of what was going to happen [10:51] at Jericho as well as at Bethl. There [10:54] was a school of the prophets, although [10:57] the two places were not more than about [10:59] 20 miles apart. This suggests the [11:02] existence of a large number of prophetic [11:05] seminaries at this period. And in 2 [11:08] Kings 2:5, the sons of the prophets at [11:11] Jericho also asked Elisha, "Do you know [11:15] the Lord will take away your master [11:17] today?" And again Elisha answered, "Yes, [11:21] I know. Be still." [11:23] So the Bible tells us that whole [11:25] multitudes of people knew Elijah was [11:27] about to depart the earth. [11:30] And true prophetic people today are also [11:33] very aware that the Lord will come in [11:35] the clouds to evacuate the righteous [11:38] from the earth. [11:40] Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, [11:43] "For the Lord himself will descend from [11:45] heaven with a loud command, with a voice [11:48] of an archangel, and with a trumpet of [11:50] God, and the dead in Messiah will be the [11:53] first to rise. After that, we who are [11:56] alive and remain will be caught up [11:58] together with the resurrected dead in [12:00] the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. [12:03] And so, we will always be with the [12:05] Lord." Therefore, Paul said, "Encourage [12:08] one another with these words." [12:11] Furthermore, in Matthew 24, Jesus [12:14] admonished us to learn the parable of [12:16] the fig tree. When its branch has [12:19] already become tender and puts forth its [12:21] leaves, you know that summer is near. [12:24] So, when you see all of these things, [12:26] the fig tree nation, Israel, begin to [12:29] happen, recognize that the Lord is [12:32] coming soon. And let's not be apathetic [12:35] about his appearing. [12:38] It's strange to me that many people in [12:40] the churches don't seem to care whether [12:41] or not the Lord is coming back. [12:44] Whenever my husband goes anywhere, I [12:46] always want to know when he's coming [12:49] back. Wouldn't it seem strange to my [12:52] family and friends if I didn't care when [12:54] he was coming home? [12:57] Well, the emergence of the biblical [12:59] nation of Israel is the super sign of [13:01] God that the church age is getting ready [13:04] to wrap up. The rapture is eminent and [13:07] the prophesied tribulation is about to [13:09] begin. [13:11] I thank the Lord for his faithfulness in [13:13] reathering Israel. And this is because [13:16] he doesn't change even when we're [13:18] unfaithful. He remains faithful to his [13:22] word. But even now the nations are [13:25] coming into alignment against Israel [13:27] exactly as the prophet Ezekiel [13:29] predicted. Presently there's no western [13:33] government dealing with Israel in a [13:35] worthy biblical manner. Most Western [13:38] leaders claim that they're friends of [13:40] Israel. Yet they pressure Israel to [13:42] divide God's land to create another [13:46] terrorist state. [13:48] Western pressure on Israel makes those [13:51] leaders a greater danger than Islamic [13:53] nations who openly express hatred and [13:56] their desire to destroy Israel. While [13:59] Israel would never listen to Iranian or [14:01] hisbahed demands, Israel does struggle [14:04] when responding to the unbiblical [14:06] demands of the West, especially from [14:09] America, the UK, and the European Union. [14:14] The main reason why Western nations will [14:17] bear God's end time judgments is found [14:20] in Joel 3:es 1:2 where God says, "For [14:24] behold, in those days when I bring again [14:26] the captivity of Judah in Jerusalem," [14:29] and that's what we're seeing today. God [14:32] says, "I will also gather all nations [14:34] and bring them down to the valley of [14:36] Jehoshaphat." And Jehoshaphat means the [14:39] Lord is judge. And God says,"I will [14:42] plead with them there for my people and [14:44] for my heritage Israel whom they have [14:47] scattered amongst the nations and they [14:49] have divided my land." [14:52] So God clearly says it's his land [14:54] they've divided and this is the major [14:57] issue that brings the wrath of God on [14:59] the world in the tribulation period. The [15:02] desire among the nations to divide [15:04] Israel's land is setting the stage for [15:08] biblical proportion judgments. [15:11] I pray the Lord will anoint the eyes of [15:14] many believers to see the world through [15:17] the filter of this word and to [15:19] understand that God has a biblical [15:22] principle that he will bless or curse [15:25] according to how a nation treats Israel. [15:29] We pray in this ministry for the Lord to [15:31] enable the church to stand in the gap [15:33] for our nations pleading for mercy [15:37] specifically in relation to how our [15:39] nations are pushing Israel into an [15:42] unbiblical and ungodly direction. [15:46] Let those in the churches who struggle [15:48] with the fact that there is a Jewish [15:50] state now and who struggle with the Jews [15:53] biblical right to the land. let them see [15:56] that these issues line up with God's [16:00] determined endtime purposes. [16:03] So we pray for courage and strength for [16:05] those who perceive this biblical truth [16:08] to be willing to speak out. [16:11] As we continually hear the death threats [16:13] coming against Israel from Iran's [16:15] leaders, we know that the Bible predicts [16:18] God will arise and answer them in such a [16:21] way that they and the rest of the world [16:24] will know that Israel's God is God. [16:29] We're praying for all professing [16:31] believers to be stripped from any [16:33] vestigages of anti-semitism. [16:37] Meanwhile, miraculously, the spirit of [16:39] God is stirring up the Jews, especially [16:41] in the West, with a desire to come home. [16:44] The process is called making aliyah, a [16:47] word that means to ascend up to the [16:49] land. Millions of Jews, however, still [16:52] live in exile, even though God [16:54] proclaimed that a day will come when not [16:57] one of his people will remain outside [17:00] the borders of Israel. [17:03] Intercessors for Israel are asking God [17:05] to remove from the Jews in the diaspora [17:07] fear of change and replace that fear [17:10] with a love for adventure and an [17:13] understanding of the privilege of being [17:16] able to participate in the fulfillment [17:18] of prophetic history by making aliyah as [17:22] prophesied in Isaiah chapter 43 and so [17:25] many other verses. [17:27] Israelis living in exile are becoming [17:29] homesick. And as the anti-semitic [17:32] hunters become more violent, many Jews [17:35] are simply unable to ignore or [17:38] misinterpret the signs of the times. [17:42] Okay. Now, I want to take up the third [17:44] topic in today's broadcast. [17:46] Learning to keep our faith strong to [17:49] survive and thrive in the midst of [17:52] sickness, threats of pandemics, [17:55] epidemics, plagues, pestilences [17:58] as prophesied, and so forth. We stand in [18:03] awe of the supernatural protection of [18:05] Psalm 91, which speaks of immunity and [18:09] shielding for those who dwell in the [18:12] secret place of the watch care of the [18:15] Almighty. [18:16] We rejoice in knowing that even when [18:19] sometimes we feel deflated and confused [18:22] like the disciples who were walking on [18:24] the road to Emmas, [18:26] the Lord is never far from us. And in [18:28] fact, he walks with us. He's in us and [18:31] he guides us continually. [18:34] We often need to just trust the Lord [18:36] whether we understand what he's doing or [18:37] not. But this we do know. Nothing takes [18:41] the Lord by surprise. and he is setting [18:44] the stage for his soon return. We take [18:47] comfort knowing that no matter what [18:50] happens, a corona virus, the rise in [18:54] anti-semitism, economic shakings, the [18:58] Lord is working out all of his purposes. [19:01] As he stated in Isaiah 42:9, "Now I [19:06] declare new things. before they spring [19:09] forth, I proclaim them to you. [19:12] People usually only pray for healing [19:14] when they become sick. But if you learn [19:17] to pray before you become sick, it's a [19:20] form of preventative medicine to [19:22] believe, to live in the Lord's divinely [19:26] provided health. In these perilous [19:28] times, we have to shake off all apathy [19:31] and actively seek God's preservation [19:34] power for his miraculous intervention in [19:37] our lives. [19:39] When I look up to the cross, I can thank [19:42] the Lord Jesus that he took my [19:44] infirmities and carried away my sin and [19:47] sickness. And the Bible says by his [19:50] stripes, we were healed. So legally [19:54] speaking, we were actually healed [19:56] [snorts] 2,000 years ago. We've been [19:58] healed through the Lord's atoning death [20:00] and sacrifice. Divine health is part and [20:03] parcel of the atonement. And Yeshua, the [20:07] Messiah, has already paid the price for [20:09] our healing and for mankind's sin and [20:13] sickness. Often I say to myself almost [20:16] daily or whenever it comes to mind, [20:18] [snorts] thank you Lord for another day [20:20] of health. And the Lord appreciates [20:22] gratitude. [20:24] So my friend, who do you call on for [20:26] help in your infirmities? Who is your [20:29] healer? Who is the sustainer of your [20:32] life? Only the Lord truly heals us of [20:35] our sicknesses and diseases. We may [20:38] sometimes take medicines and visit [20:40] doctors. And the Lord may choose to use [20:42] them as instruments of physical healing. [20:45] But in the end, it's the Lord alone who [20:48] is our ultimate healer and deliverer. [20:52] I will heal thee of thy wounds as the [20:54] Bible promised, which could not come [20:57] from the lips of a man, but only from [20:59] the mouth of God. The Bible teaches that [21:02] the Messiah has redeemed us from the [21:05] curse of the law, having been made a [21:07] curse for us on the cross. For thus it [21:10] is written in the Torah, "Cursed is [21:13] everyone who hangs upon a tree." [21:18] So Jesus was divinely cursed on our [21:20] behalf by hanging on the tree as a [21:23] substitute for our sins. The cross is [21:26] sometimes referred to as a tree as for [21:29] example stated three times in sermons in [21:32] the acts of the apostles. [21:35] Under the Mosaic law, execution was [21:37] mainly by stoning, but those who were [21:40] hanged on a tree were divinely cursed. [21:44] The law made it illegal to leave a body [21:47] hanging overnight. [21:49] This law applied to Jesus, although he [21:51] had done no wrong. Jesus's corpse was [21:55] removed from the tree on the same day of [21:56] his death and buried. Jesus took the [22:00] curse of sin upon himself to redeem us [22:03] from sin and disease. [22:05] So you see, trees are associated with [22:08] cursing and blessing in the Bible. A [22:10] tree was involved in the entry of sin [22:13] into humanity in the Garden of Eden in [22:16] the beginning. Secondly, the answer to [22:19] sin for humanity was established through [22:22] Messiah's [22:23] tree of life, his atonement on the [22:26] cross. And throughout eternity, the [22:28] redeemed will eat from a third tree, the [22:31] tree of life in heaven. [22:34] When I look to the cross of Jesus, I'm [22:36] able to strengthen my faith. The word of [22:39] God says through Messiah, I have become [22:41] the righteousness of God because the [22:44] righteousness of Jesus has been imparted [22:47] to me by faith. [22:49] So if Satan comes with his sickness [22:51] package, we must say, "Devil, I don't [22:54] receive your package. I refuse to sign [22:56] for it at the door of my heart. I won't [22:59] accept your package of sickness and [23:01] temptation, whatever the case may be, [23:04] because every day I'm renewing my mind [23:06] by meditating on God's word. We have to [23:10] spend our days in the attitude and mood [23:13] of prayer and watchfulness. [23:17] Well, Pastor David Yongi Cho, the Korean [23:20] pastor who founded the world's largest [23:22] church, he popularized the idea of cell [23:26] groups, which are basically house [23:27] churches. He reasoned that house groups [23:30] and apartment groups are the key to [23:33] disciplehip and to fostering healthy [23:36] connections of fellowship, something a [23:39] large church could never give by itself. [23:42] Pastor Cho also promoted prayer and [23:45] healing as essential to dynamic church [23:48] growth. [23:50] Pastor Cho's life radically changed at [23:52] age 17 when tuberculosis sent him to the [23:56] hospital coughing up blood. As a [23:58] Buddhist, he had been taught that he [24:00] must suffer to become enlightened [24:03] through hardship. [24:05] But Jesus offered him an alternative. [24:08] Jesus offered eternal salvation and [24:12] divine healing. Pastor Cho was led to [24:15] the Lord by a female evangelist and he [24:17] never forgot that he empowered many [24:20] women as cellgroup leaders in Korea and [24:23] Japan. He was given a Bible by a [24:26] persistent high school girl who came to [24:28] his house day after day asking him to [24:31] read the Bible. But it took getting [24:33] deafly sick for Cho to receive the Lord. [24:37] in his extremity. He decided to reach [24:40] out to the Christian God. And he wrote [24:42] in his memoir, "As a last resort, I [24:45] decided to call upon the God I didn't [24:47] know. I cried out." He said, "God, I [24:51] want to live. Help me." [24:54] He was cured of tuberculosis and gave [24:56] the glory to God. And his legacy to the [25:00] body of Messiah is the power of prayer. [25:03] That was his greatest influence. He was [25:06] a man devoted to praying with a do or [25:08] die desperateness. He once famously [25:12] said, "You can remove the preaching in [25:14] our church will still continue. You [25:16] could remove the pastoral care through [25:19] the cell groups in our church might [25:21] still survive. But if you remove the [25:24] prayer life, our church, he said, would [25:28] collapse." [25:30] Pastor Cho once observed, "We find empty [25:32] pews in many European churches." And [25:35] why? The reason he said is that those [25:37] churches that have betrayed have [25:39] abandoned the Holy Spirit. [25:43] But in these desperate times, you and I [25:45] are not going to betray the Holy Spirit. [25:47] Let's acknowledge that God wants us to [25:49] be healthy [25:51] spiritually and physically. He also [25:54] wants to give us hope to persevere and [25:56] to prevail over sickness and difficult [25:59] times. It's critical to keep faith that [26:02] God has good intentions and that he [26:04] works all things together for good for [26:06] those who are the called according to [26:09] his purposes. [26:11] So, my friend, now is not the time to be [26:13] harboring secret sins or playing games [26:15] with God. Jesus is coming soon, and this [26:19] is the hour for the church to awaken [26:20] from its sleep. For salvation is nearer [26:23] to us now than when we first believed. [26:26] The night is almost gone, the day is [26:28] near. Therefore, let us lay aside the [26:31] deeds of darkness and put on the armor [26:34] of light. Please say with me what the [26:37] Bible declares. If you believe in your [26:39] heart that God raised Jesus from the [26:42] dead and confess with your mouth Jesus [26:46] is Lord, you shall be saved. Amen.
