Take it in for 1 second because [00:11] we're here in Washington D.C. and we are [00:14] living through this miracle of 250 years [00:18] the semi quincentennial. [00:20] Take it in. [00:21] >> [applause] [00:24] >> Gosh how lucky we are. Do our kids know [00:27] how lucky we are? I hope our kids know [00:29] how lucky we are. You know before I I do [00:32] a my little show and tell in the little [00:34] classrooms that I lit like to build with [00:36] thousands of people and millions of [00:38] people. I want to start with something [00:39] very important. And that is to [00:41] acknowledge the power of friendship. [00:44] Many of you know Dennis Prager who is a [00:46] dear friend of Pastor Hagee and he [00:49] couldn't be here tonight. Last year I [00:51] spoke in front of you and I said that [00:53] I'll bring a message to him from him [00:54] again this year. [00:56] And I'm happy to tell you that he sends [00:58] his love to all of you. Uh and he sends [01:01] his love to Pastor Hagee as well. I saw [01:03] Pastor Hagee and Sandy on Friday night [01:07] and Dennis Prager called in and reminded [01:10] us all of us the power of friendship. [01:13] And yesterday Shmuley Boteach and Bomb [01:15] who you're going to speak hear from in [01:17] in a few minutes told me [01:20] that close to 30% [01:23] 30% of Gen Z'ers can't say that they [01:26] have one good friend. [01:29] Can you imagine [01:30] how lonely our kids are? [01:32] Can you imagine what a catastrophe that [01:34] is? [01:35] Now look around at a room full of [01:37] friends. [01:39] I say this again. How lucky we are. [01:42] How lucky we are. [01:44] Look to your right and to your left and [01:45] make a new friend. [01:48] >> [applause] [01:55] >> One more note about luck. [01:57] One more note about luck. [02:00] Pastor Hagee, [02:05] you've watched how badly he's been [02:07] attacked over the past few years. And [02:09] here we are, all of us. You should be [02:11] proud of yourself to stand next to this [02:14] man shoulder to shoulder. It's not easy [02:17] to be the first, [02:19] but it's often times the first who make [02:22] a true difference in this world. And I [02:24] shared this with him. [02:27] >> [applause] [02:32] >> I shared this with Pastor Hagee and [02:34] Sandy on Friday, and I said, [02:36] "How often it's the first who makes the [02:39] actual difference? [02:41] We're here today celebrating the [02:42] Declaration of Independence, right? [02:45] Think about the first who signed the [02:47] Declaration, what that felt like, how [02:50] scary that must have been. [02:52] Basically a death warrant, right? [02:55] They were the first. [02:57] Think about the first to storm Normandy, [02:59] those kiddos. [03:01] Many of them never left the country. [03:03] Many of them never saw an ocean. [03:05] They were the first, and we remember [03:08] them. [03:09] It is often times those courageous [03:11] people who are the first that we have to [03:13] remember, isn't it? [03:16] And Sandy, to her credit, reminded me [03:18] of Nachshon. [03:20] Nachshon from the Bible, [03:23] father-in-law, uh brother-in-law uh of [03:25] Aaron, [03:26] is known in the Jewish tradition as one [03:28] who's often times been the first. [03:31] Did you ever think about who was the [03:33] first to dip their toe in the water [03:35] during the splitting of the sea? It [03:37] wasn't Moses. [03:39] Legend tells us that it was actually [03:41] Nachshon. [03:43] And so think about what that's like, to [03:45] know somebody, to actually know somebody [03:48] who's willing to be the first. How lucky [03:51] we are [03:52] to know Pastor Hagee, a man who is [03:55] willing to be the first. [03:57] >> [applause] [04:00] [cheering] [04:04] >> Thank you. [04:10] A couple more words about Dennis Prager [04:12] cuz how could I be here and not speak [04:14] about the great Dennis Prager? [04:16] If any of you have listened to any of [04:18] Dennis's lectures, [04:19] he often times talks about the American [04:22] Trinity, which is on every single [04:24] American coin, every single quarter. [04:28] And I want to talk about the American [04:29] Trinity because many of you know that [04:31] I'm an educator, I'm a mama bear, [04:35] and our great America is under attack. [04:38] And it's under attack [04:40] because the American Trinity is under [04:42] attack. And if we lose the American [04:45] Trinity, we lose America. And so let's [04:48] go into the American Trinity. [04:50] Liberty. [04:52] Liberty. [04:53] A unique idea to the American people. [04:56] Right? The French have equality. The [04:59] woke people have equity. We have [05:02] liberty. [05:04] And what does that mean? [05:06] Liberty means that we are not expecting [05:09] equal results. [05:11] Liberty means that we have equality in [05:14] the opportunity that is presented to us [05:17] as Americans, a unique idea the that the [05:21] Americans have inherited from our [05:23] founders. [05:25] And so when I talk about parental [05:27] rights, [05:28] that's an attack on our liberty. [05:30] When I talk about equity and ethnic [05:33] studies curriculum, have you followed [05:35] now that the ethnic studies curriculum, [05:37] there are 22 states that are actually [05:39] bringing ethnic studies curriculum into [05:41] schools. And part of that curriculum [05:44] is to teach about adultism. And this is [05:46] a new thing, so I want you to be on [05:48] alert cuz I know that there are many [05:49] parents and grandparents here. Watch for [05:51] the word adultism. You know what they [05:54] mean by adultism? Is that the adult is [05:56] the tyrant if they tell tell the child [05:59] how to dress, what to do with their [06:01] bodies, [06:02] and at what age they should begin having [06:06] sexual relations. If you are an adult [06:09] and you tell a child that they should [06:12] wait, that they should dress properly, [06:15] you're engaging in adultism according to [06:18] some of these ethnic studies courses. [06:21] It's unbelievable. [06:23] Liberty means that the parent has the [06:26] right to raise their child as they see [06:29] fit, not the government. [06:32] >> [applause] [06:34] [cheering] [06:39] >> I know in this room this is pretty [06:41] obvious. In God we trust. [06:44] You attack In God we trust, you attack [06:48] America. [06:49] Now PragerU has created all kinds of [06:51] educational content. We created the [06:53] freedom trucks. Hopefully some of you [06:55] got to visit those while you're here in [06:57] DC. [06:58] Reuters wrote about PragerU. They were [07:00] very upset with PragerU because [07:02] apparently we exaggerated the role of [07:04] religion in the in the story of of [07:07] America. [07:09] That's what they said. [07:10] So I said that I'm going to prove to [07:12] everybody that Reuters is wrong yet [07:15] again. [07:18] I think I think there are no [07:19] coincidences in this world and I'm sure [07:21] that you're going to agree with me and [07:22] so it's a it's a great thing that Zeb [07:24] Ornstein brought us some artifacts from [07:26] Jerusalem. I bring you some artifacts [07:28] from the United States of America. [07:30] Let's start with the original seal. Do [07:32] you know that Benjamin Frank Franklin [07:35] had this concept of designing the [07:37] original seal of America as Moses [07:40] walking through the sea. [07:44] Isn't this amazing? The original seal [07:47] was an inspiration from the Hebrew [07:49] Bible. [07:51] An amazing thing. [07:52] They were inspired because they believed [07:54] that the covenant between God and Israel [07:58] the covenant between the Israelites is [08:01] one to bring to the city of on the hill [08:03] here in America. [08:07] Any of you heard of Haym Salomon? [08:10] This is such a great story. I want to [08:12] tell you about Haym Salomon. So, this is [08:13] actually a statue [08:15] that is currently found in Chicago and [08:18] you can see Haym Salomon [08:20] shaking the hand of George Washington. [08:23] So, Haym Salomon was a Jewish immigrant [08:26] from Poland [08:27] and he was very passionate about the [08:29] Revolutionary War. [08:31] He came early on and supported the [08:32] colonies and he became one of the main [08:34] financiers of the Revolutionary War. He [08:37] was so passionate about the [08:39] Revolutionary War that he actually took [08:42] his entire family bankrupt. Every dollar [08:45] he had he donated to the cause of [08:48] freeing the Americans. [08:51] He ended up getting thrown into jail [08:53] twice. He contracted a lung lung disease [08:56] and a few years later he died. [08:59] Whatever he lent to the revolutionary [09:00] soldiers was never returned to his [09:02] family. But George Washington asked Haym [09:05] Salomon [09:06] what could he do in return for his great [09:09] generosity and involvement in the war. [09:12] And Haym Salomon said, "Please take care [09:13] of my people. [09:15] Please remember that the Jewish people [09:17] participated in this great experiment." [09:20] And so legend shares [09:23] that the actual seal [09:25] of America [09:26] years later you can see the construction [09:28] of the stars. Can you see what they look [09:30] like? [09:32] Looks like the Star of David. So, first [09:35] when they designed it the stars were [09:37] placed in random. [09:38] But it's very possible that George [09:40] Washington knew who to call and make [09:43] sure that Haym Salomon was actually [09:45] rewarded with his wish. [09:47] Pretty cool, isn't it? [09:49] Moving Moving on [09:51] to the Civil War. [09:53] The Civil War is a very interesting time [09:55] in America. I'm sure you're going to [09:56] agree. Some people argue about how it [09:57] got started. By But by 1863, there was [10:01] an an agreement that the Civil War was [10:04] about doing what's right and it was [10:06] about freeing the slaves. [10:10] And so they minted this coin after that [10:12] decision of [10:15] freeing the slaves and and and [10:17] going into war and if it if if it [10:20] required that people would die and [10:21] sacrifice everything they have, America [10:24] has always been about sacrificing for [10:26] morality. You see, many other nations [10:29] will have sacrifice and bravery and [10:31] courage, but morality is almost unique [10:34] to America because it's a biblical [10:36] concept. And so they added In God We [10:39] Trust to the American currency. [10:43] And the Jews who were living in America [10:46] were very moved by the idea of freedom. [10:49] As you would imagine, [10:50] they didn't like slavery just like the [10:52] Christians didn't like slavery. And so [10:54] over 7,000 Jews enlisted in the Civil [10:58] War. [10:59] And they minted their own bumper [11:02] stickers. [11:03] Can you see this coin? [11:05] You see the Star of David? I have a real [11:08] one here. But I don't think you can see [11:10] this from here. Even I wouldn't be able [11:11] to. [11:13] A An amazing story. This is man that I [11:16] did actually didn't know about him and [11:17] until until I started researching these [11:19] incredible coins. A guy named August [11:22] Bondi moved from Austria to America. [11:26] He was a Jew [11:28] in search for freedom. [11:30] And when he made it to Kansas, [11:32] he was pretty disgusted that there [11:34] wasn't true freedom yet in America. [11:37] And so he was one of the early people [11:40] who fought in the Civil War. Already in [11:42] the early 1850s, [11:45] he started enlisting himself to bring [11:47] people to realize that slavery is wrong. [11:51] And yes, at one point he fought along [11:54] with with John Brown. I'm sure some of [11:56] you know about the stories about Harpers [11:58] Ferry, etc. [12:01] He got in there and he fought. And one [12:03] of the funniest stories about this man, [12:05] August [12:07] Bondi, was that he and some of his other [12:10] Jewish friends would speak Yiddish while [12:13] they were going in to war. And I think [12:17] it's really funny because I'm pretty [12:18] sure that they probably complained about [12:19] the food. Just just just [12:22] just knowing the people. [12:25] As you could see, early on, the Jews and [12:28] the Christians had a united [12:31] idea that America is not just a land [12:34] mass, but America is a country that is [12:38] living its true values. [12:42] This is one of my favorite collections, [12:43] and I actually have it here because [12:45] every time I lift it, my hand starts [12:47] shaking. [12:49] Anybody knows what this is? [12:51] It's a heart shield Bible. [12:53] These heart shield Bibles from World War [12:55] I were given by the moms [12:58] to their boys [13:00] as they embarked on the very scary [13:02] journey of of the war of the trenches. [13:05] And they would put them in their pockets [13:07] because it wasn't just the metal [13:10] that protected our boys, but it was God. [13:17] >> [applause] [13:18] >> And then, of course, incredibly, [13:21] FDR was inspired by these mama bears [13:24] because after all, mama bears are pretty [13:26] influential. I think you would agree. [13:29] And so FDR [13:31] provided heart-shield Bibles [13:35] before the storming of Normandy to every [13:38] soldier that enlisted. [13:41] Every soldier that enlisted received [13:43] this heart-shield Bible. [13:45] Along with a radio declaration [13:48] and I just want to take a minute to read [13:50] to you [13:52] what FDR announced before [13:55] those young kiddos, because they were [13:57] kiddos, these 18-year-old boys who [14:00] stormed Normandy. [14:03] This, by the way, is the Jewish Bible [14:05] that was given by FDR to the Jewish [14:08] soldiers that served. [14:10] Pretty eerie. [14:12] Listen to what he said to these [14:15] these kiddos, I call them. "Almighty [14:17] God, our sons, pride of our nation, this [14:20] day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a [14:23] struggle to preserve our republic, our [14:26] religion, and our civilization, and to [14:29] set free a suffering humanity. America [14:34] is a religious country. [14:39] >> [applause] [14:40] [cheering] [14:41] >> Our victories are thanks to our [14:44] dedication to God, and by extension, it [14:47] is what has made us the most moral [14:50] nation on planet Earth, and our kids [14:52] should learn about this." [14:55] >> [applause] [14:59] >> And so the American trinity, liberty, in [15:02] God we trust, [15:04] and one of my favorites, E pluribus [15:06] unum. [15:08] E pluribus unum, from many, one. [15:10] You see, [15:12] many of us were not born here. I was, [15:14] but we have relatives who haven't. My [15:16] mom was born in Morocco, my father was [15:19] born in Australia. [15:21] But when they come here, they agreed to [15:23] the covenant of being an American. They [15:26] were no longer that Australian or the [15:29] Moroccan or the Italian or the Polish. [15:32] They're Americans. [15:34] >> [applause] [15:38] >> You want to call us a nation of [15:39] immigrants? You can call us whatever you [15:41] want. But when you agree to the [15:43] covenant, the American Trinity, you [15:46] become an American. But you have to [15:49] agree to the covenant of the American [15:52] Trinity to actually succeed in America [15:55] and to preserve this incredible [15:57] inheritance that we have received. And [16:00] so what do we do about this? What do we [16:02] do about this huge responsibility that [16:05] we have been given? We've inherited a [16:07] responsibility. [16:09] Every single one of us needs to find a [16:12] way to take that first step to preserve [16:15] our great republic. Our children deserve [16:18] that same inheritance that we have [16:20] received. [16:21] And that is part of the American dream. [16:24] And yes, we are a Judeo-Christian nation [16:27] and we do believe in liberty. And all of [16:30] us, from many, we become one. [16:34] So thank you so much for everything that [16:36] you do, for the bravery [16:39] that you needed to have in you to fight [16:41] against those who are trying to take us [16:43] down.
