Transcript [00:00] Today on All Caps, [00:07] Mam Dani's laugh. A viral moment from [00:10] New York's mayor is getting attention [00:12] and raising some eyebrows. Next, the [00:15] film accusing the IDF. Naza accuses [00:18] Israeli soldiers of war crimes through [00:20] anonymous testimonies. Sherat Haden says [00:23] serious accusations require evidence and [00:26] it's time to take the film from the red [00:28] carpet to the courtroom. Then Israel in [00:32] New York, Israel's Council General Ofir [00:35] Akunis joins us to talk about Jewish [00:37] safety, changing attitudes towards [00:39] Israel, and the challenge of [00:41] representing Israel in America. It all [00:44] starts right now. [00:58] Welcome to all caps. We are back after [01:01] Rosanna and before Yum Keeper. Hopefully [01:04] a little refreshed and ready for the new [01:07] year ahead. And as always, there is [01:10] already plenty to talk about. But before [01:13] we dive into this week's show, tell me [01:16] ladies, what caught your eyes this week? [01:19] >> What caught my attention this week is [01:22] this video um that really really bothers [01:25] me. This is a a mayor of New York City, [01:28] Mayor Manni laughing doing the 911 [01:33] memorial ceremony. Let's watch the [01:35] video. [01:36] >> Jeffrey G. Lush, [01:39] >> Katherine L. Labori [01:42] >> Ammerth Latchman [01:44] >> Ganesh K Ladkut [01:47] >> we all see uh he's laughing [01:51] and this is 911. Nearly 3,000 people [01:54] were killed and families are standing [01:58] there remembering the worst day of their [02:01] life. This is the really painful moment [02:04] for New York and for America and general [02:07] in their history. And ju just days [02:10] before Mandani did a ceremony symbolic [02:13] ceremony and he headed the pain for the [02:16] his chief general chief council general [02:20] uh Ramsey Kasim. He is a lawyer who [02:23] represents previously an al-Qaeda member [02:28] and then families are against him to [02:32] come to attend the ceremony. It was a [02:34] petition that they signed more than [02:36] 100,000 people and among them it was [02:38] like 911 families who who asked him not [02:42] to attend the ceremony [02:44] >> and he came anyway. You know mom Dani [02:48] you are not just another person in the [02:50] crowd. You are the mayor of New York [02:52] City and leadership is about [02:55] understanding where you are and what's [02:58] the moment means and showing some [03:01] respect. uh some moment are simple [03:04] simply bigger than you and 9/11 is one [03:07] of them. [03:08] >> I don't know why he became a mayor. You [03:09] know, he doesn't care about New York. He [03:11] doesn't care about the people in New [03:12] York. He doesn't care about the [03:14] residents, the businesses in New York. [03:15] He came to trash New York. He came to [03:18] destroy New York. He came to impose [03:20] Sharia law. That's what he's doing. And [03:22] the New York people have to wake up and [03:24] understand that he's taking the city [03:27] down. [03:28] >> Yeah. [03:28] >> Laughing at 911. [03:31] laughing at the victims. 3,000 people [03:34] getting killed and he's laughing. That's [03:36] the mayor. [03:37] >> Can you imagine of someone in our [03:39] government laughing in seven in in in [03:42] like an October 7 ceremony? Can you [03:44] imagine laughing in this moment right [03:47] now? I say that I watched a lot of uh [03:49] commentary videos from bloggers about [03:52] the video and some say even some who [03:54] hate them said you know what sometimes [03:56] when you say how you smile but I want to [03:57] say to those people [03:59] >> unfortunately as an Israeli uh funerals [04:03] are something and and memorials are [04:05] something you know on a day on a regular [04:07] base of here. [04:08] >> Yeah. [04:09] >> You when you come to a memorial or [04:11] funeral especially when you're mayor but [04:13] just as any kind of person [04:15] >> Yeah. Your high is different. The way [04:17] you say hello is different. You don't [04:19] go, "Hey, what's up in a funeral, you [04:21] don't or a memorial, you say hi, how are [04:23] you?" You respect the moment. Okay? I I [04:27] I some people it's intentional or not [04:29] intentional. It's disrespectful. And I [04:31] think and he's disrespecting everything [04:33] about America. So obviously, you know, [04:35] it's part of the plan as someone who [04:38] lived in New York um um in September 11, [04:42] 2001. [04:43] >> Wow. [04:44] lived in Chinatown and saw it in front [04:47] of her and took photos of the event [04:51] >> uh on my film camera. [04:53] >> Um that was the moment that changed my [04:55] life forever. Uh it's the moment I [04:57] realized that terrorism uh is chasing me [05:00] from Israel after the Antifa to all over [05:04] the world. It changed my my perception. [05:05] And I remember I remember I actually [05:08] remember walking uptown escaping the [05:12] smoke, stopping at a cafe where they [05:15] broadcast uh a video from the West Bank [05:18] of Palestinians celebrating uh [05:21] >> the the attack. And I remember this is [05:26] like one of the most memor I don't have [05:27] a memory like I really have the the [05:29] worst memory but this this is like in my [05:32] brain forever engraved um all everyone [05:35] were like what is it who are they why [05:38] are they laughing it was like a whole [05:40] confusion and I remember the day that I [05:43] was like wow they don't there's [05:45] something fundamental that they don't [05:47] understand [05:48] >> this video and they like were the one [05:51] who changed George Bush's opinion [05:54] about the Palestinians in general. Wow. [05:56] And that was a turning point when he [05:58] backed Israel in its fight against the [06:00] Palestinian Authority, understanding [06:02] that the Palestinians just want blood, [06:04] want terrorism. And for the first time, [06:07] he was sending the side to Israel to [06:10] fight back. [06:11] >> Wow. Very interesting. [06:13] >> H But I want to take us back uh to this [06:17] concert in Metife where tens of [06:19] thousands of people coming to see Ed [06:22] Sheeran's show. But instead, this [06:25] opening act, McLemore, turns this into [06:28] an anti-Israel, anti-Jewish [06:32] uh show where in Kafia he was yelling uh [06:36] >> repalist, [06:37] >> repalistine showing pro Palestinian [06:40] imagery uh singing the Hins Hall song uh [06:46] really terrifying uh the Jewish people [06:49] that were there. Let's see the video for [06:51] a second. [06:52] free Palestine. [07:00] I want those words to be loud and clear [07:03] so the people from Gaza all the way to [07:06] the occupied West Bank know that we have [07:10] not forgotten. [07:11] >> Well, um, everybody was angry uh to the [07:15] least to say about that. in Shad. Then [07:17] we sent letters to uh Robert Craft, the [07:21] owner of Gillette stadium where Ed [07:24] Sheeran was supposed to uh perform next [07:27] and told him to not to allow Mlmo to go [07:31] again or to any stadium and in and [07:34] indeed um I'm not sure as a result of [07:37] this letter Robert Craft came and [07:38] announced that uh Ed will not perform um [07:42] which brought to the quits of uh other [07:46] actors in the show but it doesn't [07:48] matter. The fact was that they will not [07:51] allow anti- anti-semitic uh show in the [07:54] same but pink who is the most uh [07:58] performance a Jewish one uh came and uh [08:02] and said like uh you know I was [08:04] terrified and I and I I got scared for [08:07] the people I love because people who [08:09] were standing here in this show were [08:12] scared. We're talking about tens of [08:14] thousand of people uh getting incited [08:17] against Jews. So she wrote um standing [08:21] up for my own people. Uh and she resol [08:24] she got like thousands of uh from the [08:27] river to the sea. Palestine will be free [08:30] herald like a Zionist. She she didn't [08:32] back off. She said, "I thought I knew [08:35] going in how lonely that would be to [08:38] stand up for Israel, but it's lonier [08:41] than that." [08:43] In any event, I'm standing by [08:46] >> and um we would appreciate her for [08:50] standing for Israel and we should [08:52] condemn everybody that turns music uh [08:56] into anti-semitis. this anti-semitism [08:59] penetrated every corner in society in [09:03] the streets in universities in concert [09:05] halls [09:06] >> it should be stopped. [09:07] >> Yeah. Anti-semitism is is not [09:10] entertainment. And what's crazy to me [09:12] about Mmore is that he has not been [09:14] relevant in the music industry for a [09:16] very long time. He hasn't had a hit song [09:18] in almost 10 years. [09:19] >> Yeah. [09:20] >> The only time he became relevant was [09:22] when he started talking about free [09:23] Palestine. [09:24] >> Exactly. This is how people get rating. [09:26] They use this [09:27] >> speak about Israel, hate the Jews and be [09:30] popular. [09:30] >> Yes. And you're going to be everywhere [09:32] and everybody going to talk about you. [09:34] Let's say like he was he had some hits, [09:36] big hits and now he's just like worming [09:40] at Chiran, [09:42] >> you know. So [09:43] >> yeah, [09:44] >> you you basically not Yeah. [09:46] >> Know your place. [09:47] >> Yeah. Know your place. So, and also like [09:49] Drake just uh had today a new um song [09:55] and in that song he's saying pray for [09:59] Gaza. [10:03] >> We pray for Gaza home. [10:11] >> Yeah. This this was my reaction to this. [10:14] >> Wow. And it's weird because when I go [10:18] online I see a lot of picture of him [10:20] doing a bitzvah and he's like Jewish. [10:23] I'm not I'm not saying like you have to [10:25] stand with Israel because you are [10:27] Jewish. But you have at least know what [10:29] you're saying and like to understand the [10:32] conflict and not go like [10:34] >> it could be that but it could be just [10:35] somebody you know close to him [10:37] brainwashing him. You never know where [10:39] it's coming. You know [10:40] >> what caught my attention this week was [10:42] Fa season 5. Now Fa season 5 has been [10:46] able to educate people on October 7th in [10:49] a way that online advoc advocacy has not [10:52] been able to. So episodes seven and 8 [10:56] show depictions of the events of October [10:59] 7th. [10:59] >> I want to say something about it. We are [11:02] Israelis. We're writing an Israeli show. [11:05] We the narrative is Israeli. me and Avi [11:08] Zionists. We [11:13] and [11:16] and I really I I [11:20] really want to tell to all those critics [11:21] who ask us to to uh to make the [11:25] Palestinians to bring Palestinians [11:27] writers to you know if Palestinians want [11:29] to write a show they should write a show [11:32] that's it [11:34] >> and now FA is the number one Netflix [11:37] series in Lebanon right now which is [11:40] insane. It's also in t trending in the [11:43] top 10 [11:44] >> all over the world. [11:45] >> All over the world, especially in [11:47] several Arab and Muslim countries, which [11:49] is just unbelievable. [11:51] And as I was scrolling on X, I saw many [11:55] online reactions of people who are not [11:57] Jewish, not Israeli, totally [12:00] unconnected, saying, "I never knew that [12:03] these were the events of October 7th. I [12:06] never knew." They didn't know. And so [12:08] this goes to show that arguments and [12:12] debates online close people's minds, but [12:16] stories [12:17] stories they really open people. They [12:20] open people up. [12:37] It's a war. [12:38] >> I always said that the footages from [12:41] October 7 are the best husbara for [12:44] Israel. [12:44] >> But you know what? [12:47] when when FA come out they say to the [12:49] Israeli viewers don't watch episode [12:52] seven and and 8 because it's it's it's [12:54] really uh you know [12:57] >> sensitive [12:57] >> bragging and very sensitive and hearing [13:00] uh a lot of people online saying ah we [13:03] didn't know uh uh it was like this and [13:06] it just show you how much work we uh the [13:10] government Israel need to put uh for [13:12] advocate [13:15] >> October I think the government and has [13:17] tried to protect a lot of the families. [13:19] And that's why a lot of the footage has [13:21] been hidden and it's so graphic it can't [13:23] go on social media. It will get banned. [13:24] So, people simply just don't see it. [13:26] It's not a fact that they saw the [13:28] October 7th footage. Sometimes it is and [13:30] then they say they didn't know. It's a [13:32] fact that they just never saw the [13:33] footage. [13:33] >> Yeah. But like uh there is a lot of [13:36] footage coming out from Gaza that I see [13:38] that the the the social media promote [13:41] this and they have a lot of views and [13:43] they are super hard pictures to watch. [13:46] >> I'm just saying that the one one way to [13:48] show Israel's side is just to show the [13:50] October 7th uh videos. The same crowd [13:54] that clapped uh in Venice when they show [13:57] Naza film. [13:59] >> Yeah. [13:59] >> Right. Should have seen the images from [14:02] October 7. I wish the MSAD could just [14:05] like play it [14:06] >> in every phone. [14:08] >> Yeah. Or even like imagine they go into [14:11] like they think they go into one film [14:12] and they see it. [14:14] >> Wow. That's such a good idea. [14:16] >> And one thing about FA I might say that [14:19] in the beginning FA was like showing [14:21] that two sides really try to be uh [14:24] neutral or objective to show that the [14:26] humanitarian price crisis and issues [14:29] from both sides. uh this season turned [14:32] to be only pro-Israeli because of [14:36] October 7. Look what changed October 17. [14:39] >> But I think this is the power of this [14:40] show that they uh can get uh Jewish and [14:44] Muslim and everybody all over the world [14:46] and watch the show. I see this when I'm [14:49] on the plane. [14:50] >> I see a lot of people watching the show [14:52] like Muslims and this, you know, and [14:55] it's this is the power of the show. [14:57] Well, I actually read a report that it's [14:58] a a guilty pleasure of [15:00] >> of the Palestinians in the West Bank and [15:02] even Gaza. [15:03] >> No way. [15:04] >> That's a report I read. [15:05] >> Wow. [15:06] >> So good for FA. [15:07] >> Yeah. [15:09] And joining us today right from New [15:11] York, Ofir Akunis, who's Israel Council [15:14] General in New York, the biggest city uh [15:18] in America, representing Israel at the [15:21] particularly challenging time for Israel [15:23] US relations and the Jewish community in [15:27] America. You join us to discuss Jewish [15:30] safety in New York, changing attitude [15:33] towards Israel, the younger generation [15:36] in the US and the challenges of [15:39] representing Israel and telling its [15:42] story in America. Ofair, welcome to our [15:46] show. Thank you so much for flying all [15:48] the way from New York here. [15:49] >> Thank you for having me. Yeah, [15:50] especially for you. Yes, [15:53] >> actually to be honest with you, [15:54] especially for for Rosha Shana and to be [15:57] to actually to join my family here and [16:01] uh tomorrow I'll be back to the city. [16:05] >> Amazing. Yes. Because we are really [16:07] celebrating uh a beginning of new year. [16:09] Exactly. [16:10] >> And uh I want to ask you, do you feel [16:12] something different? Yes. [16:13] >> This year than previous? [16:15] >> Not only this year, I think that you can [16:17] see that America is changing in front of [16:19] us. Yeah. there's a huge change among [16:22] the American society and unfortunately [16:25] especially in New York uh and [16:28] unfortunately a few if you want to say [16:31] borrows or quarters in the borrows [16:35] >> uh are changing like you know they're [16:38] turning like to a Muslim neighborhoods. [16:40] >> Wow. [16:41] >> Yes. That's the [16:43] >> unfortunately that's the that's the [16:45] reality. I will tell you yes we can feel [16:47] it. First of all, the big mask in um [16:50] it's in the upper east side is packed [16:53] packed every week and you can feel the [16:57] um the atmosphere. You can feel the um [17:00] anti-semitism in peak of all times. I [17:04] think that uh since the uh let's say the [17:07] the massive wave of immigration around [17:10] the year of um I don't know 80 90 [17:13] something like that. I think that the [17:15] the Jewish community uh for the very [17:18] first time, you mentioned it, they are [17:20] not safe. [17:21] >> They are not safe. Unfortunately, we saw [17:24] the march in Brooklyn. [17:26] I I remember the stories of the programs [17:29] in East Europe back then. So, this is a [17:33] new unfortunately. [17:34] >> I mean, we saw the images we saw the [17:37] images of tens of thousands of Muslims [17:39] right in Park Avenue sometimes, [17:41] sometimes in Brooklyn. Is it really [17:42] true? from time to time. It's true. Yes. [17:45] The answer is yes. You can see it all [17:47] around. Uh and you can feel it. But I [17:50] don't think that I I will if to be [17:52] honest you with you. It's not it's not a [17:55] religious issue. It is. But there is a [17:58] lot of other people, young people, young [18:01] students from Colombia, especially from [18:02] Colombia, they don't understand [18:04] anything. Yeah. They don't know about [18:07] they don't know anything about the [18:09] Arab-Israeli conflict. And they are [18:11] wearing the kafias. Exactly. The kafias. [18:15] Thebas bandanas. Nbas. And I saw it in [18:18] front of me, in front of my eyes. Uh [18:21] because one of their um I I remember a [18:24] big event actually. They blocked the [18:26] road in Upper East Side and I saw it [18:29] very close. It was very I have to tell [18:31] you um it was dangerous. It was [18:35] >> I have I have quite a friends in New [18:37] York that just left the city. Some moved [18:40] to Miami. moved to upper state New York. [18:44] >> Would you say that Jews don't feel safe? [18:46] >> Yes. And by the way, [18:47] >> Iran, right? [18:48] >> I agree. And this is the most I think I [18:50] have have to tell you. I I encourage I [18:53] can't according to my diplomatic [18:56] position. I can't encourage aliyah [18:59] >> because I'm a diplomat and I'm not the [19:01] Jewish agency Jewish agency Shalia. But [19:05] there's a lot a lot of families who [19:09] actually moved to Israel from North [19:11] America not only from New York City but [19:14] from Canada as well because the [19:16] situation in Canada from Toronto is also [19:18] very bad. Do you think there is a [19:20] connection between you know what's going [19:22] on since October 7th and the rising of [19:25] anti-semitic or do you think uh Manni [19:29] it's one of uh you know the person who [19:32] influenced this hate against the Jewish [19:34] community? [19:35] >> Yes. First of all, um, yes and yes, [19:38] >> exactly. [19:38] >> It's October 7th. And of course, the [19:41] fact that for the very first time in [19:43] history, there's a Shia Muslim who is [19:46] mayor of New York City, 25 years after [19:49] the um terror attack and we just u it [19:52] was last week. Yes, that's right. We [19:55] just um [19:56] >> we saw the the ceremony [19:58] >> uh September 11th terror attack. The [20:01] biggest terror attack. We [20:02] >> just spoke about it [20:02] >> in in history. You spoke about it. Okay. [20:04] So yes, so it's both. And I think that [20:07] the um uh fact that there is a press [20:10] conference about public transportation, [20:14] >> the mayor blame the Jews. There is a a [20:17] press conference about the trash. [20:19] Mountains of trash, by the way, [20:20] especially in Midtown. I don't know if [20:22] you you visit and mountains of trash. [20:26] There's a press conference, you know, [20:27] okay, with the mayor. Blame the Jews. [20:30] There's, you know, all the all these [20:31] lies and blood to be blamed for. [20:34] like it's the uh the old you know in the [20:37] back in the old days the the blood liels [20:39] against the Jews everything is [20:41] >> there isn't any the employees of the [20:43] city [20:43] >> everything is about Gaza according to [20:45] the mayor everything is about Gaza you [20:48] know they want to free Gaza we freed [20:50] Gaza with all the respect the [20:52] disengagement plan 21 years ago we freed [20:56] Gaza on October 7th and you mentioned [20:58] October 7 there was zero zero Israeli [21:03] soldiers in the Gaza Strip. [21:05] >> What was the reason? They invaded. [21:09] It's unbelievable. Yes, of course. But [21:11] by the way, unfortunately, the Arabs, [21:13] you know, prefer to to attack us on Yum [21:15] Kipur or Simra or other we remember the [21:19] terror attacks in Kifa, Tel Aviv, [21:21] Jerusalem, etc., etc. So, and I think [21:24] that the mayor encouraging the um [21:28] anti-semitism and of course encouraging [21:30] the blood liels against the state of [21:32] Israel. [21:33] >> You've been very outspoken about Mayor [21:36] Zaramani. What about his approach to [21:38] Israel and Jews concerns you the most? I [21:41] think first of all the um the general [21:44] atmosphere [21:46] uh according to his uh he lies he is [21:50] lying about the state of Israel first of [21:53] all he is not you know he needs to [21:55] recognize first of all [21:56] >> yeah he doesn't recogn [22:00] you know you can disagree with the [22:02] Israeli government you can disagree with [22:04] the opposition you can disagree with the [22:06] state of Israel or even with the IDF [22:08] it's okay you know it's okay to [22:11] criticize but to to to spread blood [22:15] labels. And I remember the uh you know [22:18] uh by the way it was before he uh [22:21] stepped into office the um blood label [22:25] about the u starvation in the Gaza [22:28] street. That was I think the most uh [22:31] challenging time to me as a console [22:34] general because I they asked me to come [22:36] to hundreds of uh television interviews [22:40] and I said I insist there's no [22:42] starvation in the Gaza Strip and they [22:44] put me under pressure and they asked [22:46] again and again and again and again. I [22:48] said there's no there's a lot of food [22:50] there. The humanitarian aid is like you [22:53] know we you can see the tracks every day [22:56] and the New York Times the New York [22:58] >> we love you because just today [23:00] >> has it because there there is a report [23:02] coming out now saying that Gazen are [23:06] overweight [23:07] >> I saw by the way according to the United [23:12] according to the United Nations report [23:14] you know [23:15] >> yes because how you know they're eating [23:18] a lot from the food that we actually [23:20] worshiping [23:22] And I said I don't know any other state [23:26] in the world that during a war you know [23:29] ships so so many so much food to their [23:32] enemy [23:33] >> and we are doing it unfortunately [23:34] because we are human. [23:36] >> Let me ask let me ask you a question [23:38] because I I honestly feel like I feel [23:40] that you're working in right now the [23:43] mecca of anti-semitism. [23:44] >> Yeah. Unfortunately, [23:46] >> I'll tell you why and and and and I'll [23:48] tell you why I think that [23:50] >> um you have uh basically a mayor that [23:53] was a student and he formed the SJP [23:57] which is which is um anti-Israeli uh [24:01] backed by Qatar allegedly. [24:03] >> And then you have Colombia University [24:05] who's backed and donate and has so much [24:08] money also by Qatar and is the most [24:10] anti-Semitic uh university in in [24:13] America. You have the UN [24:15] >> over there. Yes. That is that now there [24:18] are reports that Qatari money went to [24:20] some experts. [24:23] >> So it's a lot of Qatari influence [24:25] against Israel in full force and you [24:28] feel it everywhere like you said. [24:30] >> What do you think is the hope? [24:32] >> I will I will let you. First of all, I'm [24:35] I'm always optimistic because the the [24:39] Jewish people, our nation, uh during the [24:43] history, we suffered from anti-semitism [24:45] all around. So from Spain to Poland to [24:49] Ethiopia to North Africa, you know, [24:52] Latin America, now it's in North United [24:55] Kingdom, of course, unfortunately. But [24:57] you're right about the um about the [24:59] Qataris and but it's not new. I think [25:02] that um it's from let's say [25:05] >> it's at a peak it's at it peak of course [25:07] the peak of all times no now you can [25:09] feel the results of their activities [25:13] started let's say 25 or 20 years ago [25:16] they [25:17] >> bought whole faculties you mentioned [25:20] Colombia they bought whole faculties [25:22] professors influencers and unfortunately [25:26] and I said it in the United States [25:28] lately that all the Israelis government [25:32] from 2000, it's 26 years already, we all [25:37] including, by the way, governments that [25:39] I served in, we failed [25:41] >> to stop the Qataris. And first of all, [25:44] we must recognize of course. Exactly. [25:47] >> Thank you for saying that. Of course. [25:49] Exactly. I will always say the truth, [25:50] you know, because I'm always and Nitana [25:53] knows me for a long time. [25:54] >> You got a lawyer over here. That's [25:55] right. Say the truth. [25:56] >> Good lawyer, by the way. [25:57] >> Okay. But what is Okay. What is there [26:00] hope? Can we stop? Can we do anything [26:03] against the this Qatari money that is [26:05] endless? [26:06] >> I don't know about first of all [26:08] according to the American constitution [26:10] they can declare that the Qataris are [26:12] foreign agents. They are not doing it [26:14] because they're you know they're using [26:16] they're using the Qataris money they are [26:18] buying hotels they are buying American [26:20] hotels malls whole malls in the United [26:23] States. So they will not do it but [26:25] according to their constitution they can [26:27] maybe one day it will happen. What I can [26:30] do what can we do is to fight to stand [26:34] strongly and proudly again first of all [26:38] speak and I'm asking and itana knows it [26:40] for the last two and a half years since [26:42] I started my mission. I'm saying to the [26:45] Jewish community, [26:46] >> yeah, [26:46] >> in New York and to the Jewish [26:48] communities all around the United States [26:50] of America, raise your voices, speak, do [26:55] something, arrange a rally. [26:57] >> But what about us? [26:58] >> Yeah. [26:59] >> Does Israel maybe need to change its [27:01] story, its attitude? Does Israel need to [27:04] do something different? [27:06] >> I I will tell you, first of all, we are [27:08] doing the right thing. First of all, and [27:09] I'm always saying it to defend our [27:11] people. From my point of view, this is [27:13] the most important thing. I don't think [27:15] that we need to apologize for that fact [27:19] that let's say uh that we um killed two [27:22] terrorists yesterday and even before and [27:25] almost every day. By the way, you must [27:28] remember that after the massacre in [27:30] Munich in 1972, [27:32] we did it. That was the Israeli policy [27:35] until the last terrorist, we killed all [27:37] of them. That's what we need to do first [27:39] of all to attack our enemies. to attack, [27:42] never apologize, never to be strong. You [27:45] believe me that our enemies will see and [27:48] if we if we reflect weakness, they will [27:51] attack again. If we reflect unity and I [27:54] want to maybe we'll close with this [27:56] idea, the main idea of unity. This is [27:59] the most important thing. Now I'm [28:01] asking, I'm begging my friends in Israel [28:05] and around the world, put all the [28:07] differences aside now. It's not [28:10] important. Now, what's the most [28:12] important thing is to fight together [28:14] anti-semitism and to stand together [28:18] against our enemies because they will [28:20] see that we are. By the way, that's a [28:22] fact. They didn't attack us when they [28:25] when we saw that we are solid as a rock [28:28] and they attacked us when they saw the [28:31] internal the domestic problems in Israel [28:33] in the year of 2023. [28:35] >> Aren't they want to erase all history? [28:37] that with your fight you are not going [28:39] to [28:40] >> I'm doing no I will not let you thank [28:43] you so much [28:46] >> and unity unity unity [28:49] >> the film Naza is not a courageous [28:52] investigation it is an act of cowardice [28:55] it accuses the IDF of war crimes through [28:58] hidden witnesses distorted voices and [29:01] allegations that cannot be scrutinized [29:05] its creators choose screen it first [29:08] abroad before audience ready to applaud [29:11] accusations against Israel rather than [29:14] before the Israeli public where their [29:16] claims could be examined, details [29:19] cross-ch checked and evidence demanded. [29:22] They know that hidden faces and standing [29:25] ovations will not be enough in Israel. [29:28] Here they would have to produce facts. [29:32] This is another attempt to spread a [29:34] blood liel that has already entered [29:36] journalism, music, and now cinema, [29:40] portraying IDF soldiers as murderers and [29:43] Israel as a criminal state. [29:46] But you cannot accuse an entire army of [29:49] systematically killing civilians while [29:51] almost completely ignoring the massacre [29:53] that started this war. The hostages held [29:56] in tunnels and Hamas practice of [29:59] fighting from within the civilian [30:01] population and then hide behind the [30:03] words documentary film. A prize at the [30:07] Venice Film Festival is not evidence. [30:10] Applause is not testimony. Freedom of [30:13] expression is not a license to dress up [30:16] a blood label as cinema and distribute [30:19] it around the world as established fact. [30:22] Tomorrow these accusations could be [30:25] presented as the supposed evidence [30:27] before international tribunals, boycott [30:29] organizations and groups seeking the [30:32] arrest of Israeli soldiers abroad. [30:34] Therefore, Shiradin is working with [30:36] Israeli officials and public diplomacy [30:39] professionals to push for a coordinated [30:42] legal and public response to ensure [30:45] these allegations are challenged before [30:47] they can be weaponized against IDF [30:49] soldiers. And we demand to open an [30:52] investigation against the filmmakers for [30:55] assisting the enemy in wartime for [30:58] censorship violations and for disclosure [31:01] of classified information. The time has [31:04] come for the state of Israel to move [31:06] beyond condemnations and take legal [31:08] action. The filmmakers want Israeli [31:12] soldiers put behind bars around the [31:14] world. It is time to turn the tables. [31:17] Take the filmmakers from the red carpet [31:20] to the courtroom and indict them. [31:23] It is not IDF soldiers who should be [31:26] behind bars, but those who fabricated [31:29] the blood label against them and spread [31:31] it around the world. [31:34] And while some are using their platforms [31:36] to spread accusations against Israel, [31:39] one NBA star is using his to send a very [31:43] different message. NBA star Kyle Kosma [31:47] is weighing in for the pro Palestinian [31:50] protesters in Mexico City with a message [31:53] that now getting plenty of attention [31:56] online sharing a video of protesters [31:59] chanting free Palestines Kuzma wrote if [32:03] you believe Palestinians deserve freedom [32:05] say it clearly freedom from Hamas too [32:09] freedom from Iranianbacked terror [32:12] freedom from leaders ers who use [32:15] civilians as shields. Compassion cannot [32:18] be selective. Kuzma, who previously [32:20] played along Israeli star Denny Abdia in [32:24] Washington and now plays for the [32:26] Milwaukee but has spoken out in support [32:30] of Israeli before, including in the days [32:34] following October 7. Wow. [32:37] >> Good job. And back to our conversation, [32:39] like you see, you expected Drake as, you [32:42] know, someone who has some Jewish blood [32:45] in him to be pro-Israel. Jewish, [32:47] >> right? He's his mother is Jewish. [32:49] >> Yeah. Partly Jewish. Um and uh and here [32:52] you have somebody who's not Jewish, [32:55] >> is completely not only that he's pro- [32:57] Israel, he understands like his comment [32:59] is is so knowledgeable. And then you go [33:02] like, how do you know? So maybe it's [33:03] Danny. Yeah, Daniel gave him the [33:05] information. Playing along in Israeli [33:07] star for a long time, you probably start [33:09] getting, you know, involved. But it's [33:11] amazing. [33:12] >> I think what I like about his message, [33:14] it's not just like, oh, be with the [33:17] Israeli or be with the Palestinian. He's [33:19] just asking like if you like the the [33:22] Palestinian, if you want them to be [33:24] free, freed them from Hamas, the terror [33:26] organization. And it's a point of view [33:29] that I like and I would love to see more [33:31] about like people talking about this [33:33] conflict because it shows you that he's [33:36] understanding this [33:38] >> and it means a lot's coming from someone [33:40] like him outside of the Israel Jewish [33:42] bubble. [33:43] >> Well, thank you ladies for a beautiful [33:45] show. Wishing you Maratimata and [33:49] obviously for our viewers, thank you for [33:52] joining us on all caps. Stay sharp, stay [33:55] safe, and we'll see you again next time.
