Transcript [00:00] On September 11th, 2001, America faced [00:03] horrific terror. On October 7, 2023, [00:06] Israel endured the same thing. Today, [00:08] our world is again under threat, but [00:10] evil will not have the final word. [00:12] Scripture tells us, "Pray for the peace [00:14] of Jerusalem." That's why I'm joining [00:16] the International Fellowship of [00:18] Christians and Jews for Flags of [00:20] Fellowship. Thousands of churches across [00:22] America will display memorial flags [00:24] honoring the 1,200 lives lost on October [00:27] 7th. Please donate $25 taxdeductible to [00:30] the International Fellowship of [00:32] Christians and Jews and plant your flag [00:34] to show your support for Israel and the [00:36] Jewish people. Each flag represents a [00:39] precious life and a promise that we will [00:41] not forget. Visit Levvin for the [00:43] fellowship.org. That's lev [00:46] fortheellowship.org. [00:49] >> Mark Leavvin and the International [00:51] Fellowship of Christians and Jews bring [00:53] you on the front lines. [00:56] Welcome folks. I'm Mark Levvin and I'm [00:58] with Yael Xstein, global CEO and [01:01] president of the International [01:03] Fellowship of Christians and Jews, [01:05] ifc.org. [01:07] Please check them out. There's no group [01:09] like it. Fantastic group, Christians and [01:12] Jews, shoulder-to-shoulder, standing [01:13] together all over the world, especially [01:16] in the Holy Land, in the Middle East, [01:19] and as well as Ukraine, doing really [01:22] God's work, I think, very, very much. [01:24] So, welcome to the program. How are you? [01:26] >> Thank you so much. It's always wonderful [01:28] to be speaking to you. [01:30] >> You know, folks, I don't know how she [01:31] does it. She's got a big family, a [01:33] lovely family. Uh, so that's a full-time [01:36] job. She runs this outstanding [01:39] organization, and it's in Israel and [01:41] other locations throughout the world as [01:43] well. And she has time to talk to us. [01:46] It's just fant. Where do you find all [01:47] this time? Ah, you know, when when [01:50] you're filling your time with good [01:51] things, I think God makes the time [01:53] expand. And you would definitely know [01:55] that, my friend. [01:58] >> Well, it's it's an honor. And it's the [02:00] cause that counts as far as I'm [02:01] concerned. And your cause is so [02:04] fantastic and uh and important. Well, we [02:06] just had the 25th anniversary of 9/11 [02:09] the other day. And really every day is [02:11] an anniversary of what happened on 9/11 [02:14] and other acts of horrendous terrorism [02:17] against the people of the United States [02:19] and people of Israel, the people of [02:21] Europe, people all over the world as a [02:22] matter of fact. And we're approaching [02:25] the 3year anniversary of October 7th. [02:29] What is it that you would like to convey [02:31] that we learn from these things as [02:33] Americans and the Israelis and so forth? [02:37] Well, I think it's so important that we [02:38] do learn from these horrible events. And [02:41] that's the most important thing is that [02:43] we realize that these horrors that we [02:47] have experienced that we continue to [02:49] experience are wakeup calls. And it's [02:52] not just a regular war. What I see is [02:55] that this is a spiritual war. I remember [02:57] where I was on 911. And I think it's uh [03:00] one of those world events that every [03:02] single person who was alive remembers [03:04] exactly where they were standing when [03:06] the airplanes hit the Twin Towers, the [03:09] first twin the first tower, the second [03:10] tower, the Pentagon. And we were just [03:14] all shocked at the level of evil that [03:17] people can bring to other innocent [03:21] humans. And we were shocked that this [03:24] could happen in America. And what we [03:27] realized from that, what I remember [03:29] realizing from that because it was [03:30] actually during the sec second antifada [03:33] in Israel. And so I was living in Israel [03:35] at the time and almost every single day [03:37] there were buses that were being blown [03:39] up by suicide bombers. I had a friend [03:41] from Chicago who was in Israel who was [03:43] shot in her lung by a terrorist in [03:46] Jerusalem, coffee shops that were being [03:49] blown up by bombs, by uh by guns. The [03:52] second antif was horrible. every single [03:54] day, terror, more people killed. And I [03:57] remember when the plane struck, the twin [04:00] powers, I prayed to God that America [04:03] would never know the terror that Israel [04:06] faced. But it was definitely a wakeup [04:09] call that we're in this together. The [04:11] enemies of Israel are the enemies of [04:13] America. The enemies of Jews are the [04:16] enemies of Christians. And if they're [04:18] putting us in the same category of [04:20] infidels and evil, I believe the answer [04:24] to that, Mark, is to stand together in [04:26] love, in light, and in those values that [04:30] they're trying to destroy. [04:32] >> You know, and you said something there [04:34] that I think is very, very important. [04:35] It's a spiritual battle. And I would [04:38] argue it's also a civilizational battle. [04:40] You know, we have people in America [04:43] who who treat this as a nation state [04:46] versus a nation state, like America [04:48] versus Iran and so forth. But it is [04:51] America and American values, as you [04:54] point out, the belief system, the [04:56] founding [04:58] versus this enemy. This enemy views it [05:00] as a civilizational battle. And I fear [05:03] that too many people in in the United [05:06] States and perhaps in Europe and maybe [05:07] even in Israel, they view this as a [05:09] nation state versus a nation state. But [05:11] it's bigger than that, isn't it? [05:14] >> This is an ideology. And it's not new [05:17] that there's a evil ideology that's [05:19] trying to destroy goodness, trying to [05:22] destroy the values of America, the [05:23] Judeo-Christian values that were founded [05:25] on of freedom and diversity and respect [05:28] for one another. There's always been an [05:31] evil spirit that has come. You can call [05:33] it spiritual warfare. You can call it a [05:35] bad ideology. You can call it Nazism or [05:39] communism or Islamism that we're facing [05:42] today. It's nothing new that there's [05:44] dark forces that are trying to destroy [05:47] freedom and progress. It just has a [05:49] different name. [05:50] >> And it really does take these strong [05:53] alliances, doesn't it, to confront this. [05:56] the strong alliance with Israel and the [05:58] United States is uh really historically [06:02] very very rare. I know during World War [06:03] II Churchill and FDR and so forth, but [06:06] it's akin to that, isn't it? [06:07] >> It is. When I go to America from here in [06:10] Israel, I so often see um street names [06:13] and stores and meet people that are [06:16] named after these biblical figures. I [06:19] remember driving through uh southern [06:21] America one time and seeing uh Zion [06:24] Street and Zion Square and we are [06:27] connected whether we are uh aware of it [06:30] or not. The people that aren't aware of [06:32] it are still influenced by it because we [06:36] are fighting for freedom. We are [06:38] fighting for love. We are fighting for [06:40] light. And when it comes down to it, [06:43] Israel is America's arms and legs here [06:47] in the Middle East. Um, a lot of people [06:50] have said that if America didn't have [06:52] Israel, they would have to have boots on [06:54] the ground in the Middle East. And the [06:56] fact that Israel can help America [06:58] identify threats against American [07:00] soldiers and against America and help [07:03] America to keep Americans safe is [07:05] something that I look at the scriptures [07:07] and it says, [07:10] "Good." how pleasant it is when brethren [07:12] dwell together. So there's that America [07:15] Israel alliance, there's the Jewish [07:17] Christian alliance, and what I see every [07:19] single day on the ground is the human [07:22] alliance through the International [07:24] Fellowship of Christians and Jews on a [07:26] daily basis. I'm on the ground [07:28] delivering food aid to poor Holocaust [07:31] survivors and telling them that [07:33] Christians around the world love them [07:34] and pray for them. And I'm also going [07:36] and helping persecuted Christians. Um, [07:39] not too long ago, the fellowship [07:41] delivered aid into Syria to uh multiple [07:45] different Christian communities who were [07:47] being targeted and murdered and needed [07:50] emergency medical clinics and food. We [07:52] went in immediately and did that. And [07:54] there are other countries in the Middle [07:56] East that I I can't talk about, but [07:58] where Christians have reached out to the [08:00] fellowship asking for emergency basic [08:03] needs and the fellowship has immediately [08:05] gone and provided that because we need [08:07] to stand together. [08:09] >> We need to stand together. And here's [08:11] something IFCJ and you as the global CEO [08:15] and president understand. the American [08:17] founding, [08:19] the framers and the founders repeatedly [08:22] referred to the Hebrew Bible, the Torah, [08:26] as they were developing the Declaration [08:28] of Independence and thereafter as they [08:30] were establishing our Constitutional [08:33] Republic. It took the Christians because [08:35] it was an overwhelmingly Christian [08:37] nation and we still are in the United [08:39] States. But it was Christians who met to [08:42] discuss the declaration at the Second [08:44] Continental Congress. It was Christians [08:46] at the constitutional convention and [08:48] they were repeatedly referencing the [08:51] Hebrew Bible and its influence on the [08:53] wording of the declaration and the [08:56] structure of our constitution. So these [08:58] Judeo-Christian principles and beliefs [09:02] are very very essential to understanding [09:05] what our civilizations stand for versus [09:08] this enemy. And so I have this question [09:11] for you and I have people ask me about [09:14] this too. [09:15] which is this. [09:17] You operate in some dangerous areas. [09:19] Your organization operates in some [09:21] dangerous areas, not just in the Middle [09:24] East, but Ukraine and so forth and so [09:25] on. You must have some very brave [09:28] volunteers and others, including [09:29] yourself, who work with your [09:31] organization. Is that I mean te tell us [09:33] a little about that. [09:35] >> Wow. Well, I believe that people with [09:37] faith are um aed and scared by one [09:42] thing, moved by one thing, and that's [09:45] God and God's will. And when you're a [09:47] person of faith, you realize that it's [09:50] your responsibility to help others. That [09:52] when you're called, you need to answer [09:54] with that biblical word of he me. It's [09:57] my favorite biblical word. It means here [09:59] I am, Lord, ready to do what you call me [10:01] to do. is the word that Abraham used [10:03] when God called him. And throughout the [10:06] scriptures, we see that when God calls [10:08] someone in the scriptures, the answer [10:10] was he. I'm going to do whatever you [10:12] tell me to do because I'm your servant [10:13] and I am here in this world simply to [10:16] fix the world to bring glory to your [10:18] name. And so, everyone is called in [10:20] different ways. Some people are called [10:22] to take care of their parents. And [10:23] that's no less of a calling than uh [10:27] going out to these dangerous war zones [10:29] and helping others. I think what we have [10:31] to do, each one of us, is to listen to [10:34] our calling, to be aware of our calling, [10:36] which means our ability to bring more [10:38] light to the world, to help other [10:40] people, to to give back and and and make [10:43] life better for others when we have the [10:44] ability to. If I have the opportunity to [10:47] go into Ukraine, into all these other [10:49] countries in order to strengthen others, [10:53] he name here I am. I'm going to go and [10:55] deliver food to people who need it. Even [10:57] when drones are falling in Ukraine, even [11:00] when rockets are being launched in Kiev, [11:02] I'm going to go into Kiev and deliver [11:04] the food to the people who need it. And [11:06] that's the same thing for here in [11:08] Israel. When there's wars, we have more [11:10] volunteers. When Iranian ballistic [11:12] missiles are falling on Tel Aviv, we [11:15] have hotlines of volunteers calling and [11:17] saying, "I want to go and help the [11:19] people who need it." First responders [11:21] going through the rubble, uh delivering [11:24] all the different aid that they need. [11:26] ambulance drivers going and helping the [11:28] wounded that God calls each one of us in [11:31] different ways. And it's incredible to [11:33] lead this organization, the [11:35] International Fellowship of Christians [11:37] and Jews, where what we represent is [11:40] join with us in whatever way possible. [11:43] We wouldn't be able to do it without our [11:45] donors who are giving the donations. We [11:47] wouldn't be able to do it without our [11:48] volunteers. We wouldn't be able to do it [11:50] without the first responders, without [11:52] our partners, without our workers. So it [11:55] it really we're a link in the chain, [11:57] Mark. In this life, no one can do [12:00] anything alone. So we have to stand [12:01] together. And when we stand together to [12:04] do good things, I believe where you can [12:06] feel God smiling down. [12:08] >> Yeah, that's beautifully put. And IFC is [12:12] one of those organizations that really [12:13] puts the donations where they belong and [12:15] where they need to be on the ground. And [12:17] I want to encourage you folks out there, [12:19] if.org, please check out their website. [12:22] It's a fantastic organization. They have [12:24] a great website. You can learn all you [12:26] want to learn about this organization. I [12:28] want to encourage you to become part of [12:30] this movement, part of this [12:32] organization. We can really project your [12:35] own, you know, faith and spirit and soul [12:39] into these things that they're doing [12:40] which are really fantastic. [12:42] Really fantastic. It's the International [12:45] Fellowship of Christians and Jews. and [12:47] you're listening to our Westwood One [12:50] IFCJ joint podcast on the front lines. [12:54] We'll be right back. [13:05] 3 years ago, terrorists murdered more [13:07] than,200 innocent Israelis and took 250 [13:10] hostages. Today, as we remember the [13:12] souls lost on October 7th, Israel still [13:15] under threat from terrorists sworn to [13:17] her destruction. An anti-semitic hatred [13:19] and violence continue to rise. Yet, as [13:21] the world looks away, a light shines in [13:23] the darkness. Christians and Jews are [13:25] coming together to boldly stand with [13:27] Israel through the international [13:29] fellowship of Christians and Jews. Flags [13:31] of fellowship movement across America on [13:34] the anniversary of the October 7 [13:35] attacks. Churches, synagogues, [13:37] universities, and communities are [13:39] planting Israeli flags. a powerful [13:41] declaration that Israel is not alone and [13:44] together we can combat hate and [13:45] anti-semitism one flag at a time while [13:48] supporting the fellowship's life-saving [13:50] work for people in desperate need. [13:53] Please make your taxdeductible donation [13:55] today to the International Fellowship of [13:57] Christians and Jews to plant your flag [14:00] and boldly show your support for Israel [14:02] and the Jewish people. That's [14:13] levin fortheellowship.org. [14:26] Welcome back folks. I'm Mark Levvin. She [14:29] is Yael Xeen, the global CEO and [14:31] president of the International [14:33] Fellowship of Christians and Jews. I [14:35] want you to check out their website, [14:37] iFCj.org. [14:39] And if you can give a donation, that [14:41] would be fantastic. Keep in mind, it is [14:43] taxdeductible, every penny, and it's [14:45] going to a very, very important cause. [14:47] This is on the front lines. We're back [14:49] with Yel Yao. The uh enemies of Israel [14:53] have a habit of attacking Israel on the [14:55] high holidays. Now, we just had Russia, [14:57] Shauna. Obviously, we have the 1973 war [15:02] and so forth. So there I assume that [15:05] Israel is on even more uh aggressive [15:08] alert than usual. Tell us about this. [15:11] >> Well, I can tell you firsthand that my [15:13] daughter, who's 19 years old and serving [15:15] in the IDF, um she wasn't home for [15:18] Russana because she had to be on base [15:21] protecting the base. She's on the border [15:23] of the Gaza Strip. So yes, this is very, [15:26] very real. Israel is tiny, the size of [15:29] New Jersey, and every single border [15:31] needs to be protected. And when you look [15:33] at the significance of the holiday, you [15:36] can look at it through spiritual eyes [15:39] and you can also see a direct [15:41] correlation through uh world events and [15:44] politics. [15:46] I believe that our enemies whether they [15:49] realize it or not are spiritually [15:52] attuned. And why do they hate Israel so [15:55] much? Because of something spiritual. [15:57] And so when we're celebrating the [15:59] feasts, when we're celebrating these [16:01] biblical holidays that God spoke about [16:04] thousands of years ago and we're keeping [16:06] that word alive, they want to destroy it [16:09] because darkness hates light and evil [16:13] hates goodness. And so you don't have to [16:15] look so far back. Of course, you can [16:17] look at the Yom Kipur uh war where on [16:20] this day of awe, the holiest day of the [16:23] entire year, Israel was surprised uh [16:27] attack thinking, okay, we'll have our [16:29] guards down on Yum Kipur and they'll be [16:32] able to win. And you know what? They [16:33] almost did. And winning for them means [16:35] wiping Israel out completely. Um you [16:38] look at Torah, October 7th, 2023. [16:43] That huge attack, historic attack [16:46] happened on the holiday. That's the last [16:49] day of Sukkot, the festival is Bu. And [16:52] once again, the enemies think that when [16:54] Israel has our hearts towards God, he'll [16:57] be able to more easily infiltrate. But [16:59] the truth is, I believe there's a [17:01] spiritual protection that we have, [17:04] whether it's the holidays or not. And [17:06] especially when we are in these sacred [17:08] times, spec specifically from the [17:11] scriptures that they outline. Um there's [17:14] a divine calling but there's also an [17:17] evil that feels empowered. [17:19] >> Remind the audience what is Yom Kapor? [17:22] Why is that considered the holiest of [17:24] the holidays? [17:26] >> Wow. So it goes back directly to the [17:28] scriptures. Of course we have Rosha [17:29] Shana which is the Jewish new year or [17:31] you can call it the day of trumpets [17:33] where we blow the chauffear, we blow the [17:35] ram's horn and then you have 10 days [17:38] later during the 10 days is called [17:41] Chuva. the 10 days of repentance and on [17:44] the yum kipur it's the day of awe and [17:46] this was actually the day where the high [17:49] priest in the temple would go into the [17:52] holy of holies and pray for the world [17:55] and pray for the nations that this is [17:58] the day of judgment when everything is [18:00] decided for the year ahead where sits on [18:03] his throne and basically geez we we talk [18:07] about from the scriptures and actually [18:09] most people even if you don't know the [18:11] scriptures You might know the Leonard [18:12] Coden so he sir of who will live and who [18:15] will die who by fire who by water that [18:19] this is the day that the year is planned [18:22] the previous year is closed the new year [18:24] is planned and uh it's directly from the [18:27] scriptures when back in the times of the [18:29] temple it was a day of awe when uh the [18:34] holy of holies would be opened and there [18:36] would be prayer for the nation. So we [18:38] continue to do that not with the temple, [18:40] not with the holy of holies, but the [18:42] prayer of every single person, Jew, [18:44] Christian, um is felt very powerfully. [18:47] And I've seen even more Christians this [18:50] year than ever tapping into these [18:52] biblical feasts and joining the Jewish [18:54] people and in marking them. [18:56] >> And again, I want to remind the [18:57] audience, it's the International [18:58] Fellowship of Christians and Jews. These [19:02] are Christians who are believers in the [19:04] Bible. These are Christians who are [19:06] believers also that there's a connection [19:09] between Jews and the Jewish faith and [19:11] Christianity, right? [19:14] >> Yes, we are together whether we like it [19:16] or not. So for thousands of years there [19:19] was animosity and trying to pretend like [19:22] we weren't so um so connected in these [19:26] Judeo-Christian values. And now we're [19:28] living in this beautiful prophetic er [19:31] era where Jews and Christians are [19:33] standing together and realizing am I my [19:36] brother's keeper? Yes, I am. And Jews [19:38] are standing for persecuted Christians [19:40] and Christians are standing with Jews. [19:42] And we're going back directly to the [19:44] word from the scriptures of how good and [19:47] pleasant it is when brethren dwell [19:48] together in peace and when God tells us [19:51] to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. and [19:53] also in the New Testament where [19:54] Christians believe that they're grafted [19:56] onto the rich olive tree of Israel. And [19:59] so coming back to that union, that [20:02] partnership, that um that love of [20:05] brotherhood is something that I believe [20:07] God is working miracles through the [20:09] fellowship and through our generation [20:12] um because we've been so obedient [20:14] finally to that call. [20:16] >> Let me ask you this. when you uh you [20:18] have folks in the field, volunteers in [20:20] the field, they're of both faiths or [20:22] maybe all faiths. Isn't that right? [20:24] >> Yes, that is exactly correct. We have [20:27] volunteers, we have workers, we have [20:30] partners from all different faiths. [20:32] Actually, just earlier today, my team [20:34] was um at the Nazareth Hospital. It's a [20:37] Christian hospital in Nazareth. I was [20:39] there just a few weeks ago where the [20:40] fellowship donated an emergency trauma [20:43] center and uh a a protected room for uh [20:48] the hospital because when there are wars [20:50] and there are missiles falling, Nazareth [20:53] and the Christians are targeted the same [20:55] way that uh that that Jews are. Um and [20:59] so all across Israel, just yesterday I [21:01] was at this incredible incredible event [21:04] um at a church in uh northern Israel. [21:07] It's called the Bameus Church and it's [21:08] right on the Lebanon border and this is [21:11] an ancient church and it's right where [21:14] Jesus preached thousands of years ago [21:16] and it's a ancient church that was [21:19] destroyed during an earthquake and [21:21] nobody restored it and one year ago it [21:24] was actually restored by Arabs, [21:26] Christians, Jews, Drews. Many people [21:30] haven't heard of the Jews community but [21:31] they are uh based in the Middle East. [21:33] They're an ancient community that uh [21:35] tradition holds. They come from the uh [21:38] from from the lineage of Jesso and all [21:41] these different peoples came together to [21:44] restore the church and Lebanese [21:47] Christian uh congregants are now back [21:50] worshiping in that church. So what I get [21:53] to see every day is faith in action and [21:56] bridge building and the fellowship not [21:58] just being part of this but leading it [22:00] to make sure that we are stronger [22:02] together and we're standing together as [22:05] one. Now the more support you get from [22:09] my audience, your audience, the more [22:11] support you get generally in terms of [22:13] donations and so forth and so on, the [22:15] more you can do. And that's why I want [22:18] folks listening to this program now, [22:20] please go to ifc.org, [22:23] ifc.org, International Fellowship of [22:25] Christians and Jews, and give whatever [22:28] you can because they put it to great [22:30] use. Again, it's all taxdeductible. [22:33] and Christians and Jews volunteering, [22:36] working really around the globe, but [22:38] particularly dangerous areas. Again, on [22:41] a mission, on a mission, a biblical [22:44] mission to help those who need help and [22:47] to help defend those who need to be [22:49] defended. So, please check that out. [22:52] We'll be right back. [22:58] Three years ago, terrorists murdered [22:59] more than 12,200 innocent Israelis and [23:02] took 250 hostages. Today, as we remember [23:05] the souls lost on October 7th, Israel [23:07] still under threat from terrorists sworn [23:09] to her destruction. An anti-Semitic [23:11] hatred and violence continue to rise. [23:13] Yet, as the world looks away, a light [23:15] shines in the darkness. Christians and [23:17] Jews are coming together to boldly stand [23:19] with Israel through the International [23:21] Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Flags [23:24] of fellowship movement across America on [23:26] the anniversary of the October 7 [23:28] attacks. Churches, synagogues, [23:30] universities, and communities are [23:31] planting Israeli flags, a powerful [23:34] declaration that Israel is not alone. [23:36] And together, we can combat hate and [23:38] anti-semitism, one flag at a time, while [23:41] supporting the fellowship's life-saving [23:43] work for people in desperate need. [23:45] Please make your taxdeductible donation [23:47] today to the International Fellowship of [23:50] Christians and Jews to plant your flag [23:52] and boldly show your support for Israel [23:54] and the Jewish people. Join this [23:56] historic movement with a gift of just [23:58] $25. Please raise your voice and show [24:01] the world that Israel is not alone. [24:03] Visit Levvin forthefellowship.org. [24:05] That's lev fortheship.org. [24:15] Welcome back folks. You're listening to [24:17] Yael Xeen, global CEO and president of [24:21] IFCJ, International Fellowship of [24:23] Christians and Jews and Mark Levvin. [24:26] This is on the front lines, our joint [24:28] podcast with Westwood one and IFCJ. It's [24:31] really always an honor to be here with [24:33] Yael. I learn as much as you do when I [24:35] listen to her. And one of the important [24:38] aspects that I wanted to raise here, [24:40] Yao, is this special relationship [24:43] between the United States and Israel [24:45] that has really gone back since the [24:46] founding of Israel. Really, even before [24:48] that, it's a special relationship. [24:52] And that tell me if you agree with me [24:54] because I think it's based significantly [24:57] on our joint belief systems that is the [25:01] Judeo-Christian belief system and uh the [25:05] Hebrew Bible as the Christians in our [25:07] founding used to refer to the Torah and [25:09] so forth. So we're really linked in a [25:12] very significant way, aren't we? [25:14] >> We are. And it's something I I love the [25:16] way that you put it, how this comes back [25:19] to faith and are valued because so many [25:22] people don't realize that that's not a [25:25] given. I've traveled around the world. [25:27] I've seen a lot of uh persecution. I've [25:30] been to a lot of places where it's not a [25:32] given that you can practice your [25:34] religion freely, that you can uh dress [25:37] the way that you want, that you can say [25:39] what you want, that you can have freedom [25:41] to raise your family how you want. And [25:44] the founding of America was based on [25:47] these biblical values, just like the [25:49] sound individual is based on these [25:51] biblical values. And the idea of freedom [25:55] in our countries, you know, in Israel, [25:57] many people don't know this, but 20% of [25:59] the population are not Jewish. And they [26:02] have full representation in the [26:03] government and they have full health [26:05] care and they have full education and [26:08] they get the same exact things from the [26:10] country as my children get um as a [26:13] Jewish woman because we believe in [26:14] freedom. Not because of the outline of [26:17] what democracy says it should be, but [26:19] because of what God says. everyone [26:22] should be free. Everyone should be able [26:24] to practice their religion, if one [26:26] should be protected. We don't live in a [26:28] society like most of the world actually [26:30] where there's the um you know people who [26:33] have the right religion or that they [26:35] come from a certain class that they are [26:37] able to oppress others. No, we believe [26:40] that everyone has the uh right to live [26:43] with dignity and this is a biblical [26:46] concept. It's been so prevalent in the [26:49] west for you know so many years 250 [26:52] years in America of course that uh [26:54] America is celebrating now that I fear [26:57] that the generations both in Israel and [26:59] America are forgetting what a precious [27:02] gen this is a gift and that it's not a [27:05] given in most of the world they don't [27:08] live like this it's only because we have [27:10] these shared values of Judeo-Christian [27:12] values that we're able to enjoy this [27:15] freedom [27:15] >> this is very well put and also u for [27:20] folks listening who've never been to [27:21] Israel uh when you go to Israel you feel [27:24] and touch the Bible I mean you can't [27:27] miss it uh when you go through Jerusalem [27:31] the old city and the city of David and [27:34] you go to Hebrron and you go to Shilo in [27:37] Israel and so forth I mean it's just [27:40] it's all around you you're surrounded by [27:42] it and if you have only been there once [27:45] it's it's stunning to see these and and [27:47] you can link them back to what you learn [27:50] from the Bible, from what's going on in [27:52] your church or synagogue. It's really a [27:54] remarkable experience, isn't it? [27:57] >> Yeah. Wow. It is the biggest gift. I've [28:00] lived in Israel for over 21 years and [28:02] every day I wake up and I say, "Wow, am [28:05] I living a dream?" And the truth is I am [28:08] living the dream because this is exactly [28:10] the prayer of thousands of years to [28:13] bring the words of our prophets to [28:15] fruition and it's happening in our [28:17] lifetime. So exactly what you said when [28:20] I go out and I'm able to just touch the [28:22] walls of Jerusalem and walk the streets [28:24] of Beersa and and swim in the waters of [28:27] the Sea of Galilee. It is an experience [28:30] like no other that truly doesn't get [28:33] old. And I invite everyone to come join [28:35] us in experiencing this. [28:37] >> Mhm. And uh I didn't go to Israel till I [28:41] was 60 years old. You believe that? I'm [28:43] almost 69. And it was my beautiful wife [28:46] Julie who said, "No, no, no. We're all [28:48] going." And the whole family went and [28:49] she'd been there several times. And uh I [28:52] can't get enough of it because that's [28:55] when people think about American and [28:57] American history. [28:59] It links all the way back to the Holy [29:02] Land and to these holy sites. Again, [29:05] when you look at the founders of our [29:07] country and how they kept referencing [29:08] these sites, kept referencing what they [29:10] call the Hebrew Bible, the Torah, uh [29:13] they were talking about places in the [29:15] Middle East, places in what we call [29:17] Israel today that they had never [29:19] visited, but they were well aware of [29:21] them. And they were well aware of them [29:22] through ancient history. And it really [29:25] is a very, very spiritual thing. And [29:27] isn't that why yael [29:30] this enemy they seek to destroy Israel [29:34] first and foremost because they want to [29:36] strike out the Judeo-Christian belief [29:38] system. [29:39] >> H well unfortunately it's nothing new. [29:42] They destroyed the same evil spirit [29:45] destroyed the first temple and the [29:47] second temple. The same evil spirit [29:50] spirit you know led the Inquisition and [29:53] the Holocaust. And it's this evil spirit [29:56] that knows holiness and wants to get rid [29:59] of it. Um, and we're witnessing that in [30:02] our lifetime. We have the word of God [30:05] that's finally come to fruition despite [30:07] all odds. The Jewish people have not [30:10] only survived 2,000 years of exile and [30:13] persecution, but have come back to their [30:16] biblical homeland. No one thought that [30:18] was possible. Some people said maybe [30:20] it's poetic when it talks about it in [30:23] the Bible. There's no way. How could it [30:25] be? And we're witnessing it in our [30:28] lives. So, yeah, darkness hates light. [30:31] Evil hates goodness. And the enemies of [30:34] God hate anything that represents God's [30:37] love. [30:38] >> All right. Beautifully put. So, ladies [30:40] and gentlemen, I just want to beseech [30:42] you to do everything you can to help [30:44] this fantastic organization with this [30:46] fantastic leader there, International [30:49] Fellowship of Christians and Jews. [30:51] There's not another group like it. there [30:52] just isn't. And they are defending our [30:55] way of life. They are defending our [30:57] faiths. And they are helping as many [30:59] people as they humanly can. And the more [31:02] we support them, the more they can do [31:04] and do it right on the ground in the [31:06] Holy Land and other war torn areas to [31:08] defend Jews and Christians and help them [31:12] particularly when they're in these dire [31:14] situations. the International Fellowship [31:16] of Christians and Jews, ifc.org. [31:20] Anything you can do to support them, [31:22] check out their website. You're going to [31:23] fall in love with this organization as [31:26] we have with Yael Xeen, who is just a [31:28] fantastic president and voice for this [31:32] organization. God bless you, my friend. [31:34] >> Thank you so much. [31:36] >> All right. God bless.
