Transcript [00:01] Things are escalating like crazy down [00:03] there in Yemen with the Houthis at the [00:06] Baba Mandib Strait. They're attacking [00:08] the Saudis and the Saudis, as usual, are [00:13] kind of floundering and hesitating and [00:16] not sure what to do. One of the rules [00:18] that I have learned over the years [00:20] studying the Middle East really closely [00:22] is that the Saudis always mess up. Um, [00:26] pretty much they always make these [00:27] strategic blunders. And there's more of [00:29] that happening. We're going to get into [00:31] all the headlines. You're going to be [00:32] totally up to date on the chaos going [00:35] down in Yemen right now. So, let's hit [00:37] it. Let's get to the headlines. And uh [00:40] our first headline of the day, this is [00:41] from today. Houthis claim major missile [00:43] drone attack on Saudi air base as rebels [00:46] seize Red Sea Islands. This might sound [00:48] like the same headline as a couple days [00:50] ago, but it's not. It's more of the same [00:53] as I'll show you on the map in a moment. [00:55] Yemen's Iranbacked Houthi terror group [00:57] claimed Monday that it carried out a [00:59] largecale ballistic missile and drone [01:01] attack on King Khaled air base in [01:04] southern Saudi Arabia as the group [01:06] simultaneously expanded its control over [01:09] strategic islands along the Red Sea [01:10] shipping route. The Houthi said dozens [01:12] of ballistic missiles and drones [01:14] targeted military infrastructure at the [01:16] base in Kamis Mushet, including aircraft [01:18] hangers, radars, runways, and ammunition [01:20] depots. And they said that because they [01:23] uh say that they were attacked by the [01:24] Saudis from that base over the last few [01:27] days. [01:28] Yemeni government and Houthi officials [01:30] said Monday, that's today, that the [01:32] rebels had captured Greater Hanish and [01:35] Lesser Hanish, two islands roughly 160 [01:38] kilometers north of the strait. The [01:40] takeover followed the group seizure of [01:42] Mocha and Mayun Island, also known as [01:44] Pereim, during its rapid advance along [01:47] Yemen's western coastline. So take a [01:49] look at this. These are the Hanish [01:50] islands up here. And if if you pull back [01:52] the camera a little bit and you see well [01:54] not not that far and you see um you know [01:57] Yemen's place here, this is the Baba [01:59] Mandab Strait. Such a critical shipping [02:01] route, right? Because that it takes you [02:03] up to the Suez Canal out to the [02:05] Mediterranean. The Saudis have a port [02:07] here at Yanbu where they've been moving [02:09] their oil through the East West pipeline [02:12] that goes across uh from Abcake which is [02:15] around here where their main oil fields [02:17] are in the eastern part of Saudi Arabia [02:19] all the way over to Yanbu where they've [02:21] then been shipping the oil. Most of it [02:23] does not go to Europe. Most of it goes [02:24] down through the Baband straight and out [02:27] to the east. This is all a way of [02:29] circumventing the straight of Hormuz. [02:32] Right. So now the the uh the Houthis are [02:37] are just out to destroy the Saudis [02:41] ability to ship their oil. So they've [02:42] they've now uh captured these two [02:45] critical islands. And look where they [02:47] are. You can see how strategically [02:48] important them. These are the Hanish [02:50] islands. And here this is a really [02:53] important one. If you take a look up [02:54] close, you see how the Baband Strait is [02:57] really not a straight between this [02:59] mainland. It's between this island and [03:02] on the other side is Djibouti. [03:05] Okay. So, right here. So, they seized [03:07] this bit this very important island [03:08] here. It's called Pereim or it's called [03:10] Mayun. They just seized this island and [03:13] they announced this um they announced [03:16] all these islands. So, so um Pare was [03:19] signed was uh was seized a couple days [03:21] ago when they seized Mocha Port. And [03:24] that brings up uh this issue that the AP [03:27] reported today. The Houthi's advance [03:28] puts them just 20 miles from the US [03:32] military base in Djibouti on the other [03:34] side of the Babamandib Strait. It's the [03:36] main US base in Africa and one of [03:38] several foreign military bases in [03:40] Djibouti, including those of China, [03:42] France, and Japan. Interesting place. [03:44] But here you have the US who is, you [03:48] know, here to been a declared enemy of [03:50] the Houthis, but we'll get to that more [03:51] in a bit. And the US has a major base on [03:54] the other side of the water here. Puts [03:55] them very close. Interesting thing to [03:57] watch. Saudi Arabia issues and then [04:00] lifts alerts as Houthi attacks raise [04:02] security fears. This is also from today. [04:06] Saudi Arabia lifted warnings of [04:07] potential danger in four southern cities [04:10] on Monday after a series of attacks by [04:12] Yemen's Iran aligned Houthis, heightened [04:14] security concerns along the kingdom's [04:16] border with Yemen. The Saudi civil [04:18] defense issued alerts for Naja Najan, [04:21] Kamis, Mushe, Jazan, and Abha. Those are [04:23] all those are all uh areas in the [04:26] southwestern part of Saudi Arabia [04:29] before declaring the area safe. It later [04:31] issued renewed warnings for Kamis [04:33] Mushet. That's where the that's where [04:34] the air base is and ABBA subsequently [04:37] and subsequently lifted those as well. [04:40] The attacks by the Houthis have drawn [04:43] have drawn strong condemnation and [04:45] expressions of solidarity from Gulf and [04:47] Muslim organizations as well as Arab and [04:49] regional governments with the Gulf [04:51] Cooperation Council. the Muslim World [04:53] League and Organization of Islamic [04:55] Cooperation among those backing Saudi [04:57] Arabia and condemning attacks on its [04:59] territory and vital infrastructure. So, [05:01] they're very good at condemning things. [05:03] We'll get into that more in a bit. The [05:05] Houthi attacks on southern Saudi Arabia [05:07] have coincided with a separate strike on [05:10] one of the kingdom's most important oil [05:12] transportation routes. This is key to [05:15] this whole story here, okay? It's not [05:17] just about the Houthis. The Houthis are [05:19] attacking the southern part of Saudi [05:21] Arabia and they're and they're [05:23] conquering the coastline, conquering the [05:25] Babamandib Strait while at the same time [05:28] several drones launched from Iraqi [05:30] territory targeted Saudi Arabia's east [05:33] west oil pipeline last week causing [05:36] injuries and material damage in the [05:39] Riyad and Medina regions. The energy [05:42] ministry temporarily shut the pipeline [05:44] as a precaution while emergency and [05:46] specialized technical teams secured the [05:49] facility and assessed the damage. Saudi [05:52] Arabia said it would not retaliate [05:54] immediately, meaning to towards Iraq, [05:56] following a request from Iraqi Prime [05:58] Minister Ali al Zedi, instead giving [06:01] Baghdad an opportunity to prevent its [06:03] territory from being used to launch [06:05] attacks against the kingdom and [06:07] neighboring states. So, back to the map. [06:11] What you have here is the Saudis have [06:12] this east west pipeline. It cuts right [06:14] across here. Okay. And you see Medina [06:17] and Riad. They were both mentioned in [06:19] the piece. So Medina is right. Yanboo is [06:23] where the is where the port is that the [06:25] pipeline ends up. That's where the [06:27] pipeline winds up. And drones from Iraq, [06:32] which is just to the north of Saudi [06:33] Arabia, h were uh caused damage to the [06:37] pipeline. [06:39] And it's presumed that that is from [06:42] pro-Iran Shiite militias in Iraq who are [06:45] operating in Iraq. The Iraqi government [06:47] is supposed to be in a process of [06:48] disarming them. Saudi Arabia is doing a [06:51] favor to the Iraqis and not retaliating [06:53] right away. Now, you might remember that [06:56] there's this agreement between the [06:58] Pakistanis, the Turks, and the Saudis, [07:01] this Mecca agreement that they just [07:02] signed last month to great fanfare that [07:05] they now have this strategic defense [07:07] alliance. And it's just and they even [07:09] said that it's just like NATO article [07:11] five that if one of them is attacked, [07:13] they're all attacked, right? Well, what [07:16] are they doing about it? Pakistan [07:18] condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. [07:20] Now, this article is from Turkish state [07:22] media. So, it curiously does not even [07:25] mention the Mecca Accord even once [07:28] because if it did, it would implicate [07:30] Turkey also. Why aren't they getting [07:32] involved? Right? I condemn in the [07:34] strongest terms the cowardly attack by [07:36] the Houthis targeting civilian and [07:38] energy facilities in the Kingdom of [07:40] Saudi Arabia which have left many people [07:42] injured. Shabbaz Sharif the Pakistani [07:45] prime minister said in a post on XP [07:48] Pakistan he said stands in unwavering [07:50] solidarity with the Saudi leadership and [07:52] his people. Yeah, unwavering. What [07:54] happened to your agreement to step in [07:56] and defend Saudi Arabia if it's [07:58] attacked? What happened to that? [08:01] Well, Pakistan says no military response [08:04] discussed under Mecca pact over Houthi [08:06] attacks on Saudi Arabia. Sorry. Sorry. [08:09] Pakistan said on Thursday a few days ago [08:12] that there were no discussions about a [08:13] military reaction from Islamabad under [08:15] the Mecca agreement in response to the [08:17] Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia but added [08:19] that Pakistan would act when the time [08:21] comes. When is the time if Saudi Arabia [08:24] is getting bombed right now? When [08:25] exactly is the time like what triggers [08:28] that defense pact like which says that [08:30] if one if you are attacked if one of [08:32] those countries is attacked they all are [08:34] supposed to come to the each other's [08:35] defense. Now remember I said in a video [08:37] that I made about the Mecca pack when it [08:39] was signed. If you watch that video I [08:41] was adamant at laying out the history of [08:44] defense packs in the Middle East and I [08:46] showed that nobody ever keeps them. That [08:48] defense packs are all useless. All of [08:51] them. There are like zero examples of [08:54] defense packs that are kept and I said [08:57] at the time this one will also not be [08:59] kept so we don't really have to worry [09:00] about it and sure enough it's not being [09:02] kept at all. There is no such thing [09:05] under discussion right now. When time [09:07] comes we will act under the agreement. [09:09] Pakistan foreign ministry spokes [09:11] spokesperson Sajad Haidder Khan said at [09:14] a weekly media briefing [09:16] in response to a question asking how [09:18] Islamabad planned to fulfill its [09:20] obligations under the joint joint [09:23] defense accord signed with Turkey and [09:24] Saudi Arabia. The joint defense [09:26] agreement signed last month stipulates [09:28] that an armed attack on any one of the [09:30] three countries will be regarded as an [09:32] attack on all of them. The question [09:34] arose after Iranbacked Houthis struck [09:36] Saudi cities and energy infrastructure. [09:38] They're like, "That's an attack, dudes. [09:40] When are you coming to their aid?" [09:43] Continuing attacks that by Thursday had [09:44] become a second theater of war in the [09:46] Middle East. Reuters reported that [09:48] Islamabad has warned Iran to reign in [09:50] its Yemeni Houthi allies. We're warning [09:52] you or will warn you again after they [09:56] stepped up attacks on Saudi Arabia. [09:57] Okay. [09:59] And this is this is just comedy. Houthi [10:01] official warns Turkey and Pakistan [10:05] against intervention on Saudi Arabia's [10:07] side. Now, obviously, this is an [10:09] irrelevant point because they're not [10:10] going to help them anyway, but I I [10:12] picked this out because of one line in [10:14] here, which is just gold. Senior Houthi [10:17] official Muhammad Al-Bukiti has warned [10:19] Turkey and Pakistan against intervening [10:21] in support of Saudi Arabia [10:24] following a defense agreement uh [10:26] involving Riad Ankar and Islamabad. [10:28] Israeli newspaper Mahariv quoted Al-Buhi [10:32] as dismissing the defense agreement, the [10:35] defense arrangement between Saudi [10:36] Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan as largely [10:39] symbolic. That is so dismissive. You [10:42] see, these Shiites as evil as they are, [10:45] they look at these Sunni royal uh, you [10:48] know, these Sunni countries and they [10:52] look at them and they're like, they just [10:53] have such disdain for them. and they see [10:55] them as such wimps because they are. At [10:57] the same time, he warned that any direct [10:59] Turkish or Pakistani intervention on [11:01] Saudi Arabia's behalf would carry a [11:04] heavy price. So the Here's the Houthi [11:05] guy taking advantage. He knows they're [11:07] not going to do anything anyway. So he's [11:10] trashalking them and saying, "You better [11:12] not do anything." So now when they don't [11:13] do anything, it makes it look like they [11:16] were scared off by the Houthies. You [11:18] see, it's a posturing move. If I know [11:20] you're not going to do anything anyway, [11:21] and I say, "You better not do anything." [11:22] and then you don't. It makes it look [11:24] like you gave in to my threat. Brilliant [11:26] move by the Houthis. Sorry, I'm not [11:28] taking their side. I'm just like [11:30] whatever. It's a crazy situation. Before [11:32] we go on, you don't want to miss this [11:35] trip if you're if you're into this the [11:37] type of stuff we talk about on this [11:38] channel, the geopolitics of all of it. [11:40] You uh you want to take a look at this. [11:43] March 7th through 14th, an 8-day trip to [11:45] Israel. Now, this is a luxury five-star [11:48] trip, a VIP trip. [12:06] We're going to be meeting with senior [12:08] journalists in Israel. This is going to [12:11] be a very special trip. Dr. David Worms [12:14] has served in senior positions in [12:16] multiple white houses, National Security [12:18] Council, State Department. and he's one [12:19] of the world's leading experts on the [12:20] Middle East. And what an opportunity to [12:23] tour Israel and and really learn the lay [12:26] of the land with him. We're also going [12:28] to do some some key biblical sites. So, [12:39] if if you're interested in this, go to [12:42] the link in the description of this [12:44] video and secure your spot on this trip. [12:46] That's March 7th through 14th. You don't [12:49] want to miss this if you can make it [12:51] happen. All right, here's a little piece [12:54] of analysis on CNN. Why Saudi Arabia has [12:56] few options in its conflict with the [12:58] Houthis. Basically saying here, uh, [13:00] hello, you have this massive military. [13:03] You're under attack. [13:06] It's time to step up. The key message [13:08] emanating from the kingdom is that Riad [13:10] does not want an all-out war, experts [13:13] say. But the Houthi's emboldened [13:14] behavior may nonetheless drag the Gulf [13:17] state into a wider conflict. All signs [13:19] now point to large-scale Saudi [13:21] retaliation and that likelihood is [13:22] increasing by the day. Muhammad Albasha, [13:25] an expert on Yemen and and Washington DC [13:29] based risk adviser told CNN. At this [13:32] point they don't have an option. He said [13:35] on paper it appears a mismatch. Wealthy [13:37] Saudi Arabia on the one hand with its [13:39] welle equipped modern military. on the [13:42] other, a rebel group in impoverished [13:43] Yemen. But the Houthis have proven [13:45] exceptionally difficult to dislodge. You [13:47] know why? Because they're willing to [13:48] actually fight. This is the story of the [13:51] Saudis. They just can't, you know, [13:53] here's a good little map, by the way. [13:54] Here's the East West pipeline. You see [13:55] it on the map there, right where I said [13:58] it was. Anyway, they're explaining some [14:00] of the dynamics. Um, but uh yeah, that's [14:04] the that's the story. [14:07] And meanwhile, look at this. the Saudis [14:10] because they're under attack. They have [14:12] all this military equipment. So what do [14:14] they do? They ask the Americans to bomb [14:16] the Houthis. Trump declines Saudi [14:19] prince's call for US strikes on Houthis. [14:21] Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman [14:23] called US President Trump twice on [14:25] Thursday and urged him to launch strikes [14:28] against the Houthis, Axios reported, [14:30] citing two US officials. Trump rejected [14:33] the request and US officials said the [14:35] administration does not intend to take [14:37] direct military action against the [14:38] Houthis at this time. The report said [14:41] the US is supporting Saudi Arabia in the [14:43] escalating fight in Yemen, but it's [14:44] stopping short of direct military [14:46] involvement. Commander of US Central [14:48] Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, traveled [14:50] to Saudi Arabia on Thursday for [14:52] coordination meetings. [14:55] The Trump administration will also be [14:56] providing Saudi Arabia with intelligence [14:58] on the Houthis as well as targeting [15:00] data. And roughly 200 US military [15:04] personnel are already in the country [15:06] providing non-kinetic support. According [15:08] to Axios, a senior Trump administration [15:11] official told Axios that the US is [15:12] invested in keeping the Red Sea open [15:14] while leaving the broader fight to [15:16] partners in the Middle East. Look at [15:18] this quote. The United States is focused [15:20] on protecting our core national security [15:22] interests such as ensuring freedom of [15:24] navigation in the Red Sea while [15:26] empowering our regional partners to take [15:29] the lead in managing and resolving [15:31] regional security challenges. Let me [15:33] translate that for you. It's simply it's [15:36] saying something very simple. Solve your [15:38] business. You have weapons. You have a [15:41] military. [15:43] Do the job yourself. Oh, does it involve [15:46] risk? Of course it does. War involves [15:48] risk. You know who understands that [15:51] really well? The Israelis [15:53] and the Americans. They're willing to [15:55] fight. I mean, the Americans don't [15:58] suffer the losses Israel has suffered. [16:00] But these Arab monarchies, they're never [16:04] they always want someone else to do [16:05] their dirty work for them. So, here he [16:07] is. Listen, just just look at this. The [16:09] Houthis are attacking the Saudis. [16:12] Trump says, "Look, I got my own business [16:14] going on in the Straight of Hormuz. I [16:15] have my own national interests. You have [16:17] a military, you're fighting, just go [16:19] ahead and bomb them. Fight them. [16:21] Will you suffer casualties if you have a [16:23] real war against the Houthis and use [16:25] your advanced equipment to defeat them? [16:27] Yes, you will. Oh, you're not willing to [16:29] fight, so you're asking America to do [16:31] it? It's it's crazy. [16:34] I mean, it's not crazy. It's it's uh it [16:36] makes perfect sense. They're just wimps. [16:39] The Saudis are are never are never [16:42] willing to do their own fighting. Now [16:44] this that statement the uh from the [16:47] Americans from um at the end there that [16:50] the Americans are focused on protecting [16:53] their core national security interests [16:55] while empowering regional partners. This [16:57] goes back to the national uh to the [17:01] national security strategy document that [17:03] the Trump administration published last [17:05] fall a year ago where they laid out [17:07] their whole national security uh [17:10] strategy. I've talked about it on this [17:11] channel in a number of videos. And in [17:14] that document, it says explicitly what [17:17] an America first foreign policy is. And [17:20] you know what it involves? You don't [17:22] want to be involved everywhere in the [17:24] world. You don't want to be doing [17:26] everyone's dirty work. Exactly these [17:28] situations. Don't call us in to fight [17:30] your battles for you. [17:32] Empower your local allies. We'll help [17:34] you. We'll give you targeting [17:36] information. We'll give you [17:37] intelligence. We've supplied you the [17:38] weapons. [17:40] but take care of business yourself. [17:43] That's what a real alliance looks like. [17:44] And now let's also keep in mind, let's [17:46] also keep in mind the way the Saudis [17:48] have been behaving. Constantly switching [17:50] sides, constantly, you know, playing koi [17:53] with the Americans, [17:55] and suddenly they're talking to the [17:56] Iranians, and suddenly they're talking [17:58] with the Chinese. [18:00] And whose side are they really on? The [18:01] Saudis are always playing all sides [18:03] because they think they're so smart. [18:05] But you know what happens in the end? [18:07] The Americans are like, "Why should we [18:09] step in to help you?" When the when [18:11] Trump wanted to do the uh the military [18:14] action when he wanted to take military [18:16] action to open up the Straits of Hormuz, [18:18] Operation Freedom, and he announced it, [18:20] and then the Saudis said, "No, no, no, [18:22] no, no. You can't use our airspace. You [18:23] can't use sorry, you can't use uh you [18:26] can't use your bases in Saudi Arabia." [18:29] You think Trump forgot that? And now the [18:32] Saudis are calling up Trump to do their [18:34] dirty work to bomb the Houthis for them [18:36] because they don't want to get their [18:37] hands dirty. [18:39] Trump says Houthis asked US not to [18:41] intervene in Yemen. There's a golden [18:43] quote in here. Look at this. US [18:45] President Donald Trump said on Saturday [18:47] that Yemen's Houthis asked the United [18:48] States not to intervene in their [18:50] spiraling conflict in Yemen with Saudi [18:52] Arabia. Quote, "The Houthis called us [18:54] and they let us know they don't want to [18:55] fight with us. They don't want me to go [18:56] after them," he said. Trump added that [18:58] the Houthis are allowing most of the [19:01] ships through and that there's one [19:03] country they're not too happy with, [19:04] promising to get that straightened out. [19:06] In other words, he's saying, "Yeah, you [19:08] know, the truth is they're letting most [19:10] ships through. It's just they have a [19:11] problem with Saudi Arabia. I'm not going [19:13] to get involved in this one. You know, [19:14] we'll help the Saudis, you know, in [19:16] their problem, but it's really a Saudi [19:18] problem is the way he's framing it." [19:20] Meanwhile, the Saudis didn't stop at [19:22] asking the Americans. The Saudis also [19:24] asked the Israelis. Look at this. ME20 [19:28] Middle East 24 reporting [19:31] Saudi Arabia has reportedly sought [19:32] intelligence and other assistance from [19:34] Israel to counter the Houthis and [19:36] prevent them from blocking Baba Manddev. [19:38] This development is ironic and [19:39] highlights the hypocrisy of regional [19:41] actors. Well, name mainly Saudi Arabia. [19:45] Despite strong signals from Riyad that [19:47] it was moving toward the Abraham Accords [19:49] axis in 2025, Saudi Arabia instead [19:52] forged what many view as a counterweight [19:54] alliance with Ankura and Islamabad. [19:56] working closely with Doha. [19:59] That's in Qatar as well. All [20:02] rhetorically hostile to Israel. More [20:04] than rhetorically, they fund the [20:06] terrorists who murder us. The move comes [20:09] as Riyad faces growing threats to its [20:11] oil export routes and limited [20:13] willingness from Washington to intervene [20:15] militarily, according to regional [20:16] diplomatic sources. So, they're asking [20:17] the Israelis for help. The Israelis [20:19] should tell them to go pound sand. Why [20:21] should the Israelis help the Saudis when [20:23] all the Saudis do is play all sorts of [20:25] games with us and try to twist our arm [20:26] to do things that aren't in our [20:28] interests and badmouth us and and [20:33] why [20:34] why should the Israelis help the Saudis? [20:36] Go take care of your business and [20:39] they're not done. [20:41] former Yemeni foreign minister and [20:43] adviser to the president of the UAE [20:45] backed southern transitional council in [20:47] Yemen, Khaled Alami Alammani is calling [20:50] in an interview with me. This is this is [20:52] Roy Casease. He's u he's the uh he's the [20:57] Arab affairs correspondent at Khan News, [20:59] one of the mainstream media outlets in [21:00] Israel. And in this interview with him, [21:03] he's calling for Saudi Arabia to [21:06] relinquish its management of the Yemen [21:08] file against the backdrop of the Houthis [21:10] territorial expansion in Babel Mandev. [21:12] He said Israel should play an important [21:14] role in confronting the Houthi threat. [21:15] Now, this isn't the Saudis asking. This [21:17] is someone calling out the Saudis [21:18] fecklessness. So, let me explain this. [21:21] The Southern Transitional Council was a [21:23] a a secular separatist group that was [21:26] fighting the Houthis that was actually [21:27] very effective. They were backed by the [21:29] UAE and the Saudis last year, the Saudis [21:32] were always opposed to them. The Saudis [21:33] backed the Muslim Brotherhood group in [21:35] Yemen. And the Saudis basically pushed [21:38] the STC out. And they pushed because [21:41] they didn't want the UAE involvement [21:43] there. And they and they pu but the STC [21:46] was the most effective militia fighting [21:48] the Houthis. And now they don't have the [21:50] STC anymore. And the Houthis are running [21:51] rough shot over Yemen. So they're [21:53] crying. So the Saudis are crying to the [21:55] Americans and crying and crying to the [21:57] Israelis and don't know what to do with [21:58] themselves. And the the one most [22:01] effective militia there, the STC, the [22:04] Saudis themselves got rid of. You see [22:07] what I said at the beginning of the [22:09] video that the Saudis always make [22:10] mistakes. This video has been full of [22:12] Saudi mistakes. They always make they [22:15] think they're so clever playing all [22:17] sides never works out for them. Yemen [22:20] insider blames Riad for handing Houthi's [22:22] Red Sea Gateway. This article is all [22:24] about the STC and how by pushing the STC [22:28] out, the Saudis got rid of the only [22:30] effective militia or the most effective [22:32] militia against them. Finally, last last [22:35] headline we're going to look at. [22:37] Satellite images show extensive damage [22:39] to major Saudi pipeline amid global oil [22:42] supply fears. This is a headline from [22:44] today in the Guardian. [22:46] Saudi Arabia will run out of oil stocks [22:49] for export if it doesn't restart a drone [22:52] damaged major pipeline to the Red Sea [22:54] within days, leading to the loss of up [22:56] to 4% of global supply. Not Saudi [23:00] supply, global supply, Saudi oil buyers [23:02] and traders said. Satellite photos [23:04] released on Sunday night appear to show [23:06] a pumping station on the key 1,200 [23:10] kilometer Saudi East West pipeline [23:12] charred and badly damaged after drone [23:15] attacks on Friday. A further decline in [23:17] oil flow from Saudi Arabia, the world's [23:19] largest oil exporter, will worsen the [23:22] global supply crunch, which has already [23:24] pushed global fuel prices to record [23:26] highs and spurred inflation around the [23:29] world. On Sunday, the international oil [23:31] benchmark Brent crude rose more than [23:33] $3.4% to $108 per barrel, a level not [23:37] seen since May. Since the drone attacks [23:40] forced the shutdown of the pipeline, [23:42] Riad has yet to provide full details [23:44] about the extent of the damage or ho or [23:46] how long the route will stay offline. [23:48] The Saudis blamed the attack on drones [23:50] launched by militants in Iraq. Sources [23:52] that spoke to Reuters gave varying [23:54] estimates with one saying the damage [23:56] could take up to six weeks to repair, [23:59] while another said it could be fixed [24:00] sooner and could resume pumping [24:02] partially while repairs are ongoing. [24:04] There's the East West pipeline, and [24:06] that's where the attack happened. [24:08] The world's biggest exporter has used [24:10] the pipeline to reroute around 4 million [24:13] barrels per day, around 4% of global [24:15] supply to the port of Yanbu on the Red [24:18] Sea. But with the pipeline out of [24:20] service, Yan Boon now has stocks to [24:22] maintain exports for just 5 to seven [24:25] days. According to three industry [24:27] sources familiar with Saudi exports, [24:29] Saudi Arabia also has stocks to supply [24:32] customers for several days from Egypt's [24:34] ports of Sukna on the Red Sea and Sidi [24:36] Koreer on the Mediterranean, a fourth a [24:39] fourth source said. In other words, when [24:40] when the Saudis move oil, they don't [24:42] just move everything. It's it's not just [24:44] what's getting shipped out, but they [24:46] have storage facilities at these major [24:48] ports. And they have enough for for just [24:51] a basically for a little more than a [24:53] week and a half is what they have left. [24:56] Several days in the Egyptian ports and 5 [24:59] to seven days at Yanbu. So maybe a [25:01] little more than a week. Stocks are not [25:03] full and will ultimately run out with [25:05] the East West pipeline resuming up [25:06] without the East West pipeline resuming [25:08] operations, the four sources said. And [25:10] here's some pictures of the damage done [25:13] to the pipeline. So that's where things [25:15] stand. Bottom line is this. Things are [25:18] seriously escalated out there in Yemen. [25:21] Uh the Houthis are have seized the [25:24] coast. They've seized all the key [25:25] islands. They've got the Baband [25:28] straight. They're bombing the heck out [25:29] of the Saudis. And the Saudis are are [25:31] kind of ringing their hands and asking [25:33] the Americans for help and asking the [25:34] Israelis for help. And and the [25:36] Pakistanis are are like, "Oh, no, no. We [25:38] never agreed to help you." And the Turks [25:40] have kept their mouths shut completely. [25:43] They haven't said a word. [25:45] And all the Arab states are just issuing [25:47] condemnations. This is what I said. They [25:50] never come to each other's aid. They [25:52] never come to each other's aid. None of [25:54] them ever. So, we'll see. We'll see [25:56] where this goes. At some point, Saudi [25:58] Arabia has to just step up and use its [26:01] actual military. And you know what? It [26:03] might actually take going to war. [26:06] Really? To protect your national [26:08] interest? You might have to go to war. [26:09] Yes, you might have to go to war. And uh [26:12] you know, that's where things stand. [26:14] That's where things stand. So I I have [26:17] no sympathy for the Saudis considering [26:20] their behavior towards my country, [26:22] towards Israel uh over the years and [26:24] lately. Uh they uh and they're just they [26:28] think that they could dance between the [26:30] raindrops and just play all sides and be [26:32] everybody's, you know, and and [26:34] manipulate everyone. and they end up [26:36] manipulating themselves, painting [26:38] themselves into a corner and and now [26:41] look where they are. [26:43] Well, we'll see how it plays out. We'll [26:45] keep bringing you updates. Thank you for [26:46] watching. Please like, share, subscribe, [26:49] all that stuff. And I hope you enjoy the [26:51] video. God bless.
