[singing] [08:18] He gave [08:21] a dream [singing] [08:24] that will never [08:27] pass away [08:30] [singing] [08:34] [music] [08:35] from the [singing] earth. [08:44] [music] [08:45] Glores [08:46] [singing] [08:51] [singing] [08:55] [music] [08:57] [singing] [09:05] of the sea and the [singing and music] [09:07] ocean deep and proud. All the he never [09:13] stoing [music and singing] all the [09:14] clouds and every stormy wind and [09:18] [singing] do all his commands [09:21] and [music] mountains and your hills [09:23] [singing] and every tree that stands. [09:26] You creatures of the world. You cattle [09:30] [singing] everywhere. [music] [09:32] You fall on the ground and in your mind [09:36] through the air. [09:38] The kings of [singing] the earth, every [09:41] nation, every [music] tongue, you [09:43] [singing] princes and you rulers only. [09:50] [singing] [09:52] Yeah. [09:54] Let them praise [09:57] the Lord. [singing] [10:00] Let them praise [10:03] the Lord. [10:05] Praise [singing and music] the Lord. [10:10] >> [music] [10:11] >> Praise [singing] the Lord. [10:15] [music] [10:21] [music] [10:23] Praise [singing] [10:24] him for his name alone [10:29] [singing and music] [10:30] is on high. [10:34] His [singing] splender [10:37] is over [10:39] [singing] [10:40] the earth and the [music] sky. [10:46] He's raised [singing] [10:48] up a horn for those he set aart. [10:56] [singing and music] [10:58] His saints Israelel [singing] [11:02] who [music] [11:03] are close to his [singing] heart. [11:09] [music] Praise the Lord. [singing] [11:19] [music] [11:25] >> [singing] [11:26] >> to [11:30] oh [singing] [11:41] [singing] [11:44] is [11:46] [singing] [11:49] [music] [11:50] how [singing] [11:52] good [11:55] are lightest. [11:57] Oh [singing] Jesus. [12:03] [singing] [12:11] [singing] [12:16] [singing] [12:18] [music] [12:31] >> [singing] [12:36] [music] [12:37] [singing] [12:46] >> And in thy [singing] great compassion [12:48] [music] [12:51] I will [singing] come into your heart. [13:00] There I will [13:06] there. I will feel [singing] [13:09] [music] [13:12] thy holiness, [13:15] oh Lord. [singing] [13:20] Thy [music] [13:21] holyness, [13:25] oh [13:26] [singing and music] Lord, [13:41] >> Shabbat shalom. [13:43] >> Shalom. [clears throat] [13:46] Did you know that [13:50] if the whole all the seas were ink and [13:54] every person on the face of the earth [13:56] got a quill and the whole world was a [13:59] scroll and they all started dipping and [14:01] writing? They'd run out of ink before [14:05] they could write all of God's love for [14:10] humanity down. Get closer to the lake. [14:13] >> Did you know that? [14:16] >> Did you hear Did you hear what I said? [14:18] >> No. [14:18] >> Not really. [14:19] >> No, [14:20] >> you didn't. [14:23] >> Did you know that if all the oceans were [14:25] ink [14:26] >> and everybody on the vase of the earth [14:28] got a quill or, you know, one of those [14:31] nib pens, started dipping in it, and and [14:34] and everything everywhere was a scroll [14:37] and started writing about God's love, [14:39] they'd run out of ink before they could [14:42] write it all down. [14:44] >> That's how much God loves you. [14:47] >> And that's that is the reason why we're [14:50] here this morning. [14:52] >> It's possible you arrived without even [14:55] thinking about that. [14:57] >> But hey, um it changes everything [15:01] and uh it's really good to remember it. [15:05] It's really good to be reminded and um [15:10] it's it's in one way or another it's all [15:13] about God's love. [15:16] >> Amen. [15:17] >> And uh so we'll continue [15:21] on page five with the [15:35] >> [singing] [15:36] >> Blessed, praised, glorified, and exalted [15:40] is the name of the king who rules over [15:42] kings, the holy one who has given us the [15:46] way of salvation in Messiah Yeshua. [15:49] Blessed is he, [15:52] for he is the first and he is the last. [15:55] And aside from him, there is God. [16:04] >> Standing for the shama if you're able. [16:10] [singing] [16:14] [singing] [16:21] I don't [singing] [16:32] [singing] [16:40] [singing] [16:53] >> [singing] [17:00] >> I share [17:05] your home. I love [17:10] [singing] [17:16] Fore! [17:18] Foreign! Foreign! [17:20] [singing] [17:28] Are you [singing] [17:33] [singing] [17:39] [singing] [17:45] [singing] [17:54] honey? [17:56] [singing] [17:57] Adon Elos. [18:09] [singing] [18:14] [singing] [18:18] And Yeshua said, [18:22] "Love you all. [18:23] >> Love you. [18:24] >> Love you guys. [18:26] Love you. [18:34] [singing] [18:40] [singing] [18:47] >> [singing] [18:51] >> Open my mouth, O Lord, and my lips will [18:53] proclaim your praise. [18:56] >> Blessed are you, oh Lord, our God, God [18:59] of our ancestors, God of Abraham, Isaac, [19:02] and Jacob, our God who remembers Sarah, [19:05] Rebecca, Rachel, and Leia. Great, [19:09] mighty, awesome, exalted God who bestows [19:12] loving kindness, creator of all, you [19:15] remembered your covenant love to our [19:17] ancestors and sent the redeemers and the [19:20] children's children for the sake of your [19:23] name and your loving nature. You are the [19:26] king who helps and saves and shields. [19:29] Blessed are you, Lord, shield of [19:31] Abraham. [19:32] >> Your might, O Lord, is boundless. You [19:35] give life to the dead. Great is your [19:37] saving power. You sustain the living [19:40] with loving kindness. In your great [19:42] mercy, you give life to the dead. You [19:45] support the fallen, heal the alien, free [19:48] the fedtered, whose power can compare [19:51] with yours. You are the master of life [19:54] and death who brings forth salvation. [19:57] Faithful are you in giving life to the [19:59] dead. Blessed are you, O Lord, who gives [20:02] life to the dead. [20:04] >> Amen. [20:11] Just a quick word before we continue [20:13] with the kaduca. Some of you may have [20:15] noticed that we have um in the shama [20:18] begun to say very quietly the second [20:22] line which in most synagogues not all [20:24] but um most uh who are not reformed or [20:27] messianic do not even say the um uh [20:31] second line of the shama. Um, do you [20:34] know what I'm talking about? [20:38] Where we uh do the buram kabode. Um, and [20:43] the reason for that is because it's an [20:44] interruption in the text and the [20:46] scripture. Um, so it's kind of a call-in [20:49] response. And so we are um we have [20:53] changed that. We didn't give a reason [20:55] for the change. So apologies to you. We [20:57] change that to say that more quietly to [21:00] reflect the continuity of the scripture [21:02] and that it is kind of a call in [21:05] response to that. Does that make sense? [21:08] >> So like if I say something and you say [21:10] amen, hallelujah, the amen, hallelujah, [21:13] wasn't actually written in the in the [21:15] passage. [21:16] >> Correct. [21:16] >> So we're making that clear. Okay. [21:19] Continuing on with the kaduca [21:23] on page 11. [21:35] Amar, [21:51] more [21:56] Adore. Hallelujah. You are holy and your [22:00] name is holy and the holy ones daily [22:03] give you praise. [22:04] >> Blessed are you, oh Lord, the holy God. [22:07] >> Being found in appearance as a man. He [22:10] humbled himself by becoming obedient to [22:13] the point of death, even death on a [22:15] cross. For this reason also God highly [22:19] exalted him and bestowed on him the name [22:22] which is above every name. So that at [22:24] the name of Yeshua, every knee will bow [22:27] of those who are in heaven and on earth [22:30] and under the earth and that every [22:32] tongue will confess that Yeshua the [22:34] Messiah is Lord to the glory of God the [22:37] Father. Moses rejoiced in the gift [22:40] bestowed on him when you called him [22:42] faithful servant placing on his head a [22:45] crown of glory as he stood before you on [22:47] Mount Si. In his arms, he carried the [22:50] two tablets of stone on which the [22:53] commandment of Shabbat was inscribed. [22:55] Thus, it is also written in your Torah. [22:57] And let's turn to page 34. [23:04] [singing] [23:11] at [23:19] Isol [singing] [23:32] [singing] [23:38] [singing] [23:44] Hashto [singing] [23:57] night [24:02] [singing] [24:05] sh [24:07] is [singing] [24:10] hash [24:14] Shabor [24:27] [singing] [24:32] is [singing] [24:35] hash. [24:42] >> [singing] [24:44] >> And we return to page 14. [24:50] Our God and God of our fathers, may you [24:53] be pleased with our rest. Sanctify us [24:56] through your commandments and grant us [24:57] our portion in your Torah. Satisfy us [25:01] with your goodness and make us rejoice [25:03] in your salvation. [25:06] >> Purify our hearts to serve you in truth. [25:09] In love and favor, oh Lord our God, let [25:12] us inherit your holy. [25:14] >> May your people Israel sanctify your [25:17] name rest on this day. Blessed are you [25:21] Lord who makes the Shabbat holy. [25:24] >> Accept, O Lord, the prayer of your [25:25] people as it is offered. May the worship [25:28] of those who call upon your name always [25:31] be acceptable to you. May our eyes [25:34] witness the return of our Messiah to [25:36] Zion. Blessed are you, O Lord, who [25:39] restores his presence to Zion. [25:43] >> Acknowledge that you are the Lord our [25:45] God and God of our ancestors forever and [25:48] ever. You are the source of our strength [25:51] even as you have been Israel's [25:53] protecting shield in every generation. [25:57] Thank you and proclaim our praise for [25:59] our lives which are in your hand. For [26:01] our souls which are in your care, for [26:04] your miracles which are daily with us [26:07] and your wondous kindness at all times, [26:09] morning and [26:12] >> you are good with everlasting mercy. You [26:15] are compassionate with enduring loving [26:17] kindness. From long ago we have placed [26:20] our hope in you. May all who live thanks [26:23] to you and praise your name in truth. [26:26] for you are our salvation and our help. [26:29] Blessed are you, Lord, for your name is [26:32] good and to give you praise. [26:35] >> Grant true and lasting peace to your [26:37] people Israel and to all who dwell on [26:40] earth. Bless us, our father, all of us [26:42] as one with the light of your presence. [26:45] For in the light of your presence, you [26:47] gave us, Lord our God, the Torah of [26:49] life, love of grace, righteousness, [26:52] blessing, mercy, life, and peace. May it [26:56] please you to bless your people Israel [26:58] in every season and at all times with [27:01] your gift of peace. [27:02] >> Blessed are you bless his people with [27:06] peace. [27:06] >> Magnified and sanctified be his great [27:09] name in the world which he has created [27:12] according to his will. May he establish [27:15] his kingdom during your life and during [27:17] your days and during the life of the [27:19] whole house of Israel even swiftly and [27:22] soon and say [27:23] >> amen. [27:25] great name be blessed forever and to all [27:27] eternity. [27:28] >> Blessed, praised and glorified, exalted, [27:31] extolled and honored, magnified and [27:33] lauded be the name of the holy one. [27:36] Blessed be he. Though he be high above [27:38] all the blessings and songs, praises and [27:41] consolations which are uttered in the [27:43] world and say [27:44] >> amen. May he makes [27:49] us [27:52] amen. [27:53] >> Amen. and you may be seated. Well, [27:56] Shabbat shalom. You see a lot of empty [27:58] seats. Um [28:00] flu and CO are beginning to pop up. Dean [28:04] is homesick. Um so, um we have 35 states [28:10] right now that have significant levels [28:13] of COVID. It kind of missed its summer [28:15] peak and it's hitting right now, which [28:17] is not a good time going into the holy [28:19] days and back to school. Um for those [28:22] who are interested, there are multiple [28:26] vaccine options for the flu and um the [28:29] FDA with JF RFK Junior's approval has um [28:34] released updated COVID shots for [28:38] especially people over 65. So that [28:40] includes a lot of us. So if you're [28:42] inclined, they are out, they're [28:44] available, and New York insuranceances [28:47] are covering them. So um keep that in [28:50] mind. Um, we are going to be putting out [28:52] masks and hand sanitizer through the [28:55] whole um, flu co gunk season of like [28:59] from now until March, right? That's [29:01] about it. But um, just be careful. [29:04] Please be careful visiting at the [29:05] nursing home, especially when you go to [29:08] see Selma. Be mindful if you have a [29:10] little tickle in your throat or some [29:12] post-nasal drip. Don't just assume it's [29:14] allergies. Um, you know, just be very [29:17] mindful. They'll probably be asking [29:19] people to mask up there. So, um that's [29:23] just your public service health [29:24] awareness thing. We are not having an [29:27] owning today. Oh, we also have emptiness [29:30] because um you can pray for the uh Honda [29:32] Odyssey. It is having issues and they're [29:34] having uh trouble getting here today. [29:37] So, um yeah, but anyhow, [29:42] um we don't have an onig today. We have [29:45] a lot going on this month for the holy [29:47] days. You should have gotten an email [29:48] with the events and already we have one [29:51] change from what I sent out in the email [29:54] I believe. You know that thing where you [29:56] go to a buffet and your eyes are bigger [29:59] than your stomach and you take like way [30:02] too much food and then you're like oh [30:03] wait I can't eat this. So that's what I [30:05] did with the women's meeting. I have no [30:07] idea what I was thinking except that [30:09] somehow I was aware that next Shabbat is [30:12] Rashashana and unaware of it at the same [30:15] time. And so there is not going to be a [30:19] women's meeting this month because [30:21] there's very little between now and next [30:25] Shabbat and uh we have Labor Day and [30:27] people are busy doing stuff with that [30:29] and everybody's just going to be too [30:31] pressured and I want us to actually be [30:33] able to enjoy our time together. So um [30:37] I'm going to take a look at the October [30:39] calendar. I think it will be right [30:41] before the camping and whatever things. [30:44] And so if we're going to have we may be [30:46] going to have a women's thing while the [30:49] men are out camping. And I'm thinking it [30:51] would be a women and children [30:53] specifically planned out thing because [30:55] that's what we end up with anyhow. Um a [30:58] lorador from generation to generation [31:01] theme with some activities for the kids [31:04] and the adults to share if we all come. [31:06] I think we have a onetoone adulttochild [31:09] ratio. So that's very cool. We could do [31:12] some partnering off. So keep that in [31:14] prayer. Um you know it's important that [31:16] we don't take on more than is wise for [31:20] us to take on. Right. [31:23] >> So we'll see how the holy days are [31:24] going. So be in prayer for our um [31:27] services. Um we are not having online [31:31] prayer meeting this week also because [31:33] tomorrow's Labor Day and people have [31:35] plans. [31:36] >> Monday. [31:37] >> Monday. Sorry. See where I am [31:39] calendar-wise. Tomorrow's already gone. [31:41] I'm into Monday. Yes. So, the Rashashana [31:44] service next Shabbat is at our regular [31:47] time, 11:00 a.m., but you'll be bringing [31:50] food either hot or cold, and we'll be [31:53] keeping food warm in the oven from the [31:55] time you get here. If it's hot food, [31:57] cold in the fridge, otherwise um because [32:01] we are going to follow the service with [32:03] a holiday on. Um, so most of you, if [32:06] you're having family plans, either have [32:09] like a a dinner later that day or um a [32:12] lot of people are pushing their family [32:14] celebration to the second day because [32:16] that's a Sunday and makes that a lot [32:18] easier. Um, [32:21] the other holy days are already listed. [32:25] Everything's up on the calendar. The [32:27] only thing that's not on the calendar is [32:29] the men's camping trip which is going to [32:31] be Columbus Day weekend which is the [32:33] weekend after Shmani at Samhat Torra so [32:38] that we can all celebrate together and [32:41] uh Sukkot is going to happen as a [32:43] celebration together since it's on [32:45] Shabbat. We really didn't want to [32:46] separate families for that. Any [32:49] questions about what we're doing for the [32:50] holy days? [32:52] Did any of you get the email? [32:54] >> No. [32:55] >> Yeah. [32:55] >> How many of you actually opened it? read [32:57] it. I can always count on you, Amy. You [32:59] get like the triple quadruple platinum [33:02] star for being the only person in the [33:04] room who always knows what's going on. [33:07] So, you know, as my brain is overloaded, [33:10] I'll just call Amy. She'll know, right? [33:13] >> Okay. So, um yes, those things should be [33:18] set, the holy days things should be set [33:20] in stone pretty much. Okay. Please, [33:24] please continue to give to Israel in [33:27] person or through the links we have on [33:28] our web page and Facebook page. If [33:30] you're not sleeping under a rock, you [33:33] probably know that the US and Iran are [33:36] battling each other again. And that puts [33:38] Israel on high alert and the tensions [33:41] are very high and it's very difficult [33:43] especially for the reservists who have [33:45] come back and you know don't know what [33:48] they're going into next. So pray for [33:50] them. We are praying in Arisha Barak um [33:53] for all the war wounded, for Dean who is [33:56] homesick, for Rona who had surgery um [34:00] yesterday morning and was doing very [34:02] well, very well. Um it wasn't a major [34:05] back surgery. It was more of a a minor [34:08] minimally invasive thing. So it doesn't [34:10] involve lots of um rehab or anything. [34:15] We're praying for my husband whose uh [34:18] back uh gets better except for when he [34:20] drives our car, for Sylvie, for me. [34:24] Praise God. The um injections I got seem [34:28] to be possibly something that will be [34:31] helpful. Um pray for Amy and her [34:34] continued recovery. Arena, Jackie [34:37] Santoro, who's uh really doing super [34:40] super well. um for uh Noah as he [34:45] continues to have uh body issues uh body [34:48] pain and headaches. For Cheryl, um [34:51] Brian, Betty, Brett, Phil, Craig's [34:54] grandmother, Jenny, Joannne's cousin [34:57] Susan, Bill's brothers, Robert and [34:59] Frederick, and his sisters, Janet, Ron, [35:03] Dean's mother, who is very critically [35:06] ill and going into hospice, and uh his [35:08] mother-in-law. for Francis, Marty, [35:12] Craig's uncle Louie, Keith, Morty, Heba, [35:15] Selma, Joanne, and Florence for their [35:17] vision. Jan, Martha, Sana, Dena's [35:20] mother, the Crossroads Christian [35:22] Fellowship people who will be seeing [35:24] very soon. And then we have people [35:26] battling cancer, Frank, Donna D. [35:29] Pasqual, Craig's aunt, Kelly's cousins, [35:32] Geraldine and Ellie, Bob, Rowan's father [35:35] and uncle, Ramon, David, David A. Fausto [35:40] D, Carl, Najia, Diane, Evangelene, [35:43] Larry, Sal, Millie, Gloria, Join, [35:47] Michael, Johnny, Frederick, Jill, and [35:49] Rob. Anyone else we should be praying [35:52] for for illness? [35:53] >> Hannah's foot. [35:54] >> Hannah's foot. Oh, that's right. She [35:57] injured her foot. I forgot about that. [35:58] Thank you. [36:02] Well, Ainu Mu, our father, our king, [36:07] >> you are the source of all healing. [36:11] And so we ask you, Lord, to overflow [36:14] with compassion upon each one. [36:19] Restore, heal, strengthen, and enliven [36:23] each one. [36:25] May you send speedily a complete healing [36:28] of the soul and healing of the body [36:30] along with all the ill among the people [36:32] of Israel and all humankind soon [36:35] speedily without delay. Vim ru. [36:38] >> Amen. Okay. And it's not exactly praying [36:42] for those who are ill, but we're going [36:44] to remember this year to pray for those [36:46] who are hungry in our area. And on the [36:50] table in the foyer as you go out to the [36:52] right there are things um it's the Yong [36:55] Kipur appeal for the regional food bank [36:59] for the Hudson Valley. And what they ask [37:01] you to do is since we're not eating to [37:04] consider putting the amount of money it [37:06] would have cost for us to eat those [37:08] meals that we skip on Yamipur in the [37:11] little envelope there and mail it back [37:14] to them. So, we have um a small stack of [37:17] those and they're located right next to [37:20] produce from our garden. So, the [37:23] brochures are free. The produce from the [37:25] garden is free. Please help yourself. [37:27] And then next to that are calendars with [37:29] a suggested donation of $8.50 [37:33] each to cover the cost. It was cheaper [37:36] to buy more calendars than to buy fewer. [37:41] So, um please give them to friends. um [37:44] somebody who you think might be blessed [37:47] by that. I know I send one to my sister [37:49] every year. Um so you can pop one in the [37:52] mail. Do the cheap mail so you don't go [37:54] broke. Um but they're there. Please take [37:57] them. Please use them. We'll have them [37:59] out over the holy days for guests as [38:01] well. So um with that, John [38:09] Before [38:14] we pray for Israel and the United [38:16] States, I like to read from the book of [38:18] Hebrews, first chapter. [38:23] In days gone by, God spoke in many ways [38:27] and varied ways to the fathers through [38:30] the prophets. But now in these last days [38:34] or [38:39] He has spoken to us through his son [38:43] to whom he has given ownership of [38:45] everything and through whom he created [38:49] the universe. [38:52] This sun is the radiance of the shikina, [38:55] the very expression of God's ex essence, [38:59] upholding all that exists by his [39:01] powerful word. And after he had through [39:05] himself made purifications for sins, [39:09] he sat down at the right hand of hagu [39:16] right hand of God. [39:20] So he has become better much better than [39:23] angels and the name of God has given him [39:26] is superior to theirs. [39:29] For to which of the angels [39:32] did God ever say you are my son [39:35] today I have become your father. Father [39:39] we thank you for the Torah. We thank you [39:41] for your word written in our language. [39:44] We pray for the state of Israel. We pray [39:46] for its leaders. Lord, we pray for the [39:48] rabbis and pray for the Knesset and the [39:51] soldiers and the commanders in the [39:53] field. Lord, we pray you bless them. [39:56] Provide for all their needs and comfort [39:58] the families that have to endure the [40:01] absence of their people that they love. [40:05] Pray for our nation, Lord. We pray for [40:06] our president, vice president, our local [40:09] officials. Pray for our governor. I pray [40:12] for the congressmen and the senators, [40:14] Lord, that [40:16] make laws. Lord, pray that laws these [40:18] laws would be abiding in your word and [40:21] that we might do and elect in the [40:24] upcoming elections the people that best [40:27] represent us. And we ask it in Yeshua's [40:30] name. Amen. [40:31] >> Amen. [clears throat] [40:53] Just explode it with the green. [40:56] >> There you go. [41:09] >> [singing] [41:23] >> I feel like I'm out of breath. [41:29] Amen. [41:38] >> The reading for the Torah portion today [41:41] is Deuteronomy 31 [41:44] through 31:8. [41:48] Now when all these things come upon you [41:50] the blessing and the curse that I have [41:52] set before you and you take them to [41:54] heart in all the nations where Adonai [41:56] your God has banished you and you return [41:58] to Adoni your God and listen to his [42:01] voice according to all that I am [42:03] commanding you today you and your [42:06] children with all your heart and with [42:08] all your soul. Then Adonai your God will [42:11] bring you back from captivity and have [42:14] compassion on you. and he will return [42:16] and gather you from all the peoples [42:18] where Adonai your God has scattered you. [42:21] Even if your outcasts are at the end [42:24] ends of the heavens, from there Adonai [42:26] your God will gather you. And from there [42:29] he will bring you Adonai your God will [42:31] bring you into the land that your [42:33] fathers possessed and you will possess [42:35] it. And he will do you good and multiply [42:38] you more than your fathers. Also, Adoni [42:42] your God will circumcise your heart and [42:44] the heart of your descendants. To love [42:46] Adonai your God with all your heart and [42:49] with all your soul in order that you may [42:51] live. Adonai your God will put all these [42:55] curses on your enemies and on those who [42:57] hate you, who persecuted you. Then you [43:00] you will return and listen to the voice [43:02] of Adonai and do all his mitzvot that I [43:05] am commanding you today. Adonai your God [43:08] will make you prosper in all the work of [43:10] your hand, in the fruit of your of your [43:12] womb and the offspring of your livestock [43:16] and the produce of your soil for good. [43:19] For Adonai will again rejoice over you [43:21] for good as he rejoiced over your [43:24] fathers when you listen to the voice of [43:26] Adonai your God to keep his mitzvot and [43:28] his stat statutes that are written in [43:31] this scroll of the Torah. when you turn [43:33] to Adonai your God with all your heart [43:36] and with all your soul. For this mitzvah [43:39] that I am commanding you today is not [43:42] too difficult for you, nor is it far [43:44] off. It is not in the heavens that you [43:46] should say, "Who will go up for us to [43:49] the heavens and get it for us? And have [43:52] us hear it so we may do it?" Nor is it [43:54] across the sea that you should say, "Who [43:57] will cross over for us to the other side [43:59] of the sea and get it for us? and have [44:02] us hear it so that we may do it. No, the [44:05] word is very near to you in your mouth [44:07] and in your heart to do it. [44:10] See, I have set before you today life [44:12] and good and death and evil. What I am [44:15] commanding you today is to love Adonai [44:18] your God, to walk in his ways, and to [44:20] keep his mitzvot, statutes, and [44:23] ordinances that you will live and [44:25] multiply. And Adonai your God will bless [44:28] you in the land you are going in to [44:30] possess. [44:31] But if your heart turns away and you do [44:33] not listen, but are drawn away and bow [44:36] down to other gods and worship them, I [44:38] tell you today that you will certainly [44:41] perish. You will not prolong your days [44:43] on the land where you are about to cross [44:45] over the Jordan to go in to possess. I [44:49] call the heavens and the earth to [44:50] witness about you today that I have set [44:53] before you life and death, the blessing [44:55] and the curse. Therefore, choose life so [44:59] that you and your descendants may live [45:01] by loving Adonai your God, listening to [45:03] his voice and clinging to him. For he is [45:07] your life and the length of your days, [45:09] that you may dwell on the land that [45:11] Adonai swore to your fathers, to [45:14] Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob to give [45:17] them. Then Moses went and spoke these [45:20] words to all Israel. He said to them, "I [45:24] am 120 years old today. I am no longer [45:27] able to go out and come in. Adonai has [45:30] said to me, "You are not to cross over [45:32] this Jordan. Adonai, your God will cross [45:34] over before you. He will destroy these [45:37] nations from before you, and you will [45:39] dispossess them. Joshua will cross over [45:42] before you just as Adonai had promised. [45:44] Adonai will do to them just as he did to [45:47] Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, [45:50] and to their land when he destroyed [45:52] them. Adonai will give them over to you [45:55] and you are to do to them according to [45:56] all the mitzvot that I am command [45:59] commanding you that I commanded you. [46:02] Khazak be courageous. Do not be afraid [46:05] or tremble before them for Adonai your [46:08] God. He is the one who goes with you. He [46:11] will not fail you or abandon you. Then [46:13] Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in [46:16] the sight of all Israel, "Be strong. Be [46:20] courageous, for you are to go with this [46:22] people into the land Adonai has swore to [46:25] their fathers to give them, and you are [46:27] to enable them to inherit it. Adoni, he [46:31] is the one who goes before you. He will [46:34] be with you. He will not fail you or [46:36] abandon you. Do not fear or be [46:39] discouraged. [46:47] Eloha. [46:59] Amen. [singing] [47:15] Blessing before the hopsar reading. [47:23] [singing] [47:28] foreign. [47:35] [singing] [47:41] [singing] [47:55] [singing] [47:57] Amen. [48:36] The reading from the Hoffara portion is [48:39] Isaiah 61:10- [48:42] 63:9. [49:03] I will rejoice greatly in Adonai. My [49:06] soul will be joyful in my God, for he [49:09] has clothed me with garments of [49:10] salvation. He has wrapped me in a robe [49:13] of righteousness, like a bridegroom [49:16] wearing a priestly turban, like a bride [49:18] adorning herself with her jewels. For as [49:22] long, for as the earth brings forth its [49:25] sprouts, and as a garden causes things [49:28] sown to spring up, so Adonai Elohim will [49:32] cause justice and praise to spring up [49:35] before all the nations. [49:37] For Zion's sake, I will not keep silent. [49:40] For Jerusalem's sake, I will not rest [49:43] until her righteousness shines out [49:46] brightly and her salvation as a blazing [49:49] torch. Nations will see your [49:52] righteousness and all kings your glory. [49:55] You will be called by a new name which [49:58] Adonai's mouth will bestow. You will [50:01] also be a crown of beauty in the hand of [50:04] Adonai and a royal diadem in the hand of [50:07] your god. No longer will you be termed [50:10] forsaken. No longer your land termed [50:13] desolate. Instead, you will be called, [50:17] "My delight is in her, and your land [50:20] married." For Adonai delights in you, [50:23] and your land will be married. For as a [50:26] young man marries a virgin, so your sons [50:29] will marry you. As a bridegroom rejoices [50:32] over a bride, so your God will rejoice [50:35] over you. On your walls, Jerusalem, I [50:38] have set watchmen all day and all night. [50:42] They will never hold their peace. [50:45] You who remind Adonai, take no rest for [50:49] yourselves, and give him no rest until [50:52] he establishes and makes Jerusalem a [50:55] praise in the earth. [50:57] Adonai has sworn by his right hand and [51:00] by his strong arm, "Surely I will never [51:03] again give your grain as food for your [51:06] enemies. Nor will foreigners drink your [51:10] new wine for which you have labored. But [51:13] those who have garnered it will eat it [51:15] and praise Adonai. And those who have [51:18] gathered it will drink it in the courts [51:20] of my sanctuary. [51:23] Go through. Go through the gates. Clear [51:26] the way for the people. Build up, build [51:29] up the highway. Remove the stones. Lift [51:33] up a banner over the peoples. Behold, [51:36] Adonai has proclaimed to the end of the [51:39] earth. Say to the daughter of Zion, [51:42] "Behold, your salvation comes. See, his [51:45] reward is with him and his recompense [51:48] before him." Then they will call them [51:51] the holy people, the redeemed of Adonai. [51:55] And you will be called sought out, a [51:58] city not forsaken. [52:01] Who is this coming from Adon in [52:04] crimsoned garments from Bosra? [52:08] This one splendid in his apparel, [52:11] pressing forward in his great might. It [52:15] is I who speak in righteousness, mighty [52:18] to save. [52:20] Why is your apparel so red and your [52:23] garments like one who treads in a wine [52:25] press? I have trotten the wine press [52:28] alone from the peoples no man was with [52:32] me. I trod them in my anger and trampled [52:35] them in my wrath. Their lifeblood [52:38] spattered my garments, so I stained all [52:41] my robes. For a day of vengeance was in [52:44] my heart, and my year of redemption has [52:47] come. I looked, but there was no one to [52:50] help. I was amazed, but no one was [52:53] assisting. So my own arm won victory for [52:57] me, and my wrath upheld me. So I trod [53:01] down the peoples in my anger and made [53:03] them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out [53:07] their lifeblood on the earth. [53:10] I will remember the loving kindnesses of [53:13] Adonai, the praises of Adonai according [53:16] to all that Adonai has granted us and [53:19] the great goodness towards the house of [53:22] Israel which he has granted them [53:24] according to his compassion and [53:27] according to the abundance of his loving [53:29] kindness. For he said, "Surely they are [53:33] my people, children who will not deal [53:36] falsely." So he became their savior. In [53:41] all their affliction he was afflicted. [53:44] So the angel of his presence saved them. [53:47] In his love and in his mercy he redeemed [53:50] them. Then he lifted them and carried [53:54] them all the days of old. [54:29] >> [singing] [54:38] >> for [54:46] Amen. [singing] [54:58] really hard. [55:16] >> All right, there's two apostolic [55:18] readings today. The first is John 15 [55:21] 1-1. [55:29] I am the true vine and my father is the [55:32] gardener. Every branch in me that does [55:35] not bear fruit, he takes away and every [55:38] branch that bears fruit he trims. [55:43] Every branch that uh let me start over. [55:47] He trims so that it may bear more fruit. [55:50] You are already clean because of the [55:52] word I have spoken to you. Abide in me [55:54] and I will abide in you. The branch [55:57] cannot itself produce fruit unless it [55:59] abides on the vine. Likewise [56:06] likewise you cannot produce fruit unless [56:08] you abide in me. I am the vine, you are [56:11] the branches. The one who abides in me [56:14] and I in him bears much fruit. For apart [56:17] from me you can do nothing. If anyone [56:20] does not abide in me, he is thrown away [56:23] like a branch and is dried up. Such [56:26] branches are picked up and thrown into [56:28] the fire and burned. [56:33] If you abide in me and my words abide in [56:36] you, ask whatever you wish and it shall [56:38] be done for you. In this my father is [56:41] glorified that you bear much fruit. [56:52] that you bear much fruit and so prove to [56:55] be my disciples. Just as the Father has [56:58] loved me, I also have loved you. Abide [57:01] in my love. If you keep my commandments, [57:04] you will abide in my love. Just as I [57:06] have kept my father's commandments and [57:08] abide in his love. These things I have [57:11] spoken to you so that my joy may be in [57:14] you and your joy may be full. [57:26] All right, we made it through that one. [57:29] The second apostolic reading, Romans 10 [57:32] 1-17. [57:38] Brothers and sisters, my heart's desire [57:40] and my prayer to God for Israel is for [57:44] their salvation. For I testify about [57:48] them that they have zeal for God, but [57:51] not based on knowledge. For being [57:53] ignorant of God's righteousness and [57:55] seeking to establish their own, they did [57:58] not submit themselves to the [57:59] righteousness of God. For Messiah is the [58:02] goal of the Torah as a means to [58:05] righteousness for everyone who keeps [58:07] trusting. For Moses writes about the [58:10] righteousness that is based on the [58:11] Torah. The man who does these things [58:14] shall live by them. But the [58:16] righteousness based on faith speaks in [58:18] this way. Do not say in your heart who [58:21] will go up into heaven, that is to bring [58:23] Messiah down, or who will go into down [58:26] into the abyss, that is to bring Messiah [58:29] up from the dead. But what does it say? [58:32] The word is near you in your mouth and [58:35] in your heart. That is the word of faith [58:39] that we are proclaiming. For if you [58:42] confess with your mouth that Yeshua is [58:44] Lord, and believe in your heart that God [58:46] raised him from the dead, you will be [58:48] saved. For with the heart it is believed [58:51] for righteousness, and with the mouth it [58:54] is confessed for salvation. [58:56] >> Amen. [58:57] For the scripture says, [59:00] for the scripture says, "Whoever trusts [59:03] in him will not be put to shame. For [59:05] there is no distinction between Jew and [59:07] Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, [59:10] richly generous to all who call on him. [59:14] For everyone who calls upon the name of [59:15] Adoni shall be saved." [59:18] How then shall they call on the one in [59:20] whom they have not trusted? And how [59:22] shall they trust in the one they have [59:24] not heard of? And how shall they hear [59:26] without someone proclaiming? And how [59:29] shall they proclaim unless they are [59:31] sent? As it is written, how beautiful [59:34] are the feet of those who proclaim good [59:36] news of good things? But not all heeded [59:40] the good news. For Isaiah says, Adonai, [59:43] who has believed our report, so faith [59:46] comes from hearing and hearing by the [59:48] word of Messiah. [59:55] >> [clears throat] [60:12] >> Blessing Blessing [60:29] after the reading. [60:31] Final reading. [60:37] for [60:43] [singing] [61:03] mechu. [61:06] Amen. [singing] [61:07] Hey [61:36] Here they come. [61:46] >> All right. [62:00] >> Yeah. [62:04] >> Hi [62:10] >> [laughter] [62:13] >> All right. [62:19] [laughter] [62:22] >> Lord, once again, we thank you for [62:26] children, [62:27] >> forgiving us children, [62:30] grandchildren, [62:31] making us your children. [62:34] Elohima. [62:36] May God make you as Ephraim [62:40] and Manasseh. [62:44] Elohim Rivka Raela. May God make you as [62:47] Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leia. In the [62:51] name of Messiah Yeshua, we bless. [63:06] We're going [63:24] to [63:52] Yeah. [63:59] Well, we are temples of [music] the Holy [64:01] Spirit [64:03] and we are in a temple and we're going [64:06] [music] to worship our Lord today, [64:10] now and [music] forever. [64:25] I will worship you in [64:27] [singing and music] the temple [64:30] all the days of my life. And I will [64:33] bring [singing] praise offerings [music] [64:37] all the days of my life. I will sing, [64:40] [singing] rejoice, and exalt you [music] [64:44] all the days of my life. [singing] [64:47] I will lift up holy [music] hands all [64:51] the days of my life. My heart is [64:56] [singing and music] filled with praise. [64:58] For your grace and mercy comfort me. [65:01] [music and singing] I'll give worship [65:04] all my days to the one who sets his [65:07] people free. [65:09] Majesty, glory, salvation and love. We [65:13] walk through the lamb who was slain. [65:16] Victory and anointing with [singing] [65:19] power for us as we walk in his name. I [65:24] will [music and singing] worship you in [65:25] the temple. [65:27] All the days of my life I will bring [65:32] praise. [65:35] All [singing] the days of my life, I [65:38] will [music] sing, rejoice, and exalt [65:40] you. [65:42] All [singing] the days of my [music] [65:44] life, I will lift up holy hands. All [65:49] [singing] the days of my life, my heart [65:54] is filled with praise. For your grace [65:57] and mercy comfort [singing and music] [65:58] me. I'll give worship [66:02] all my to the one that sets his people [66:05] free. [66:07] Majesty, glory, salvation, and honor [66:10] belong to the lamb who was made. [music] [66:14] Victory, love, and anointing with power [66:18] for us [singing] as we walk in his name. [66:21] Cuz I will worship you in the temple [66:25] all [singing and music] the days of my [66:27] life. I will bring praise offerings [66:32] all [singing] the days of my life. [66:35] [music] I will sing, rejoice and exalt [66:38] you. [66:40] All [singing] the days of my life and I [66:43] will lift up holy hands. All the days of [66:48] my life. My heart is filled with praises [66:53] for your grace and mercy. [66:57] I'll give [singing and music] worship [66:59] all my days to the one who sets his [67:02] people free. [music] I judge [singing] [67:05] to glory, salvation, and honor. We come [67:09] to the lamb who was slain. [67:12] Victory, love, and anointing with power [67:16] as we walk in his name. [music] Majesty, [67:20] glory, salvation, and honor belong to [67:24] the lamb [singing] who was slain. [67:27] Victory, love, and [music] anointing [67:29] with power for us as [singing] we walk [67:31] in his name. For us [music] as we walk [67:35] in his name. [singing] For us as we walk [67:40] in his name. [67:45] [music] [67:58] >> [music] [68:05] [music] [68:06] >> Holy, [68:08] [singing] holy is the Lord [music] God [68:12] of host. [68:14] Holy, [singing] [68:16] holy is the Lord God of host. [68:22] Holy, [68:24] holy is the [singing] Lord God of host. [68:29] Holy, [singing] [68:31] holy is the Lord God of host. [87:51] [singing] [87:55] You are holy, [87:58] holy, [music and singing] [88:00] holy [88:04] Lord [singing] [88:06] God [88:08] [music] Almighty. [89:08] [singing] [89:12] Hallelujah. [89:17] [singing] [89:20] Hallelujah. [89:29] >> [singing] [89:30] >> Halleluah. [89:35] [singing] [89:37] Hallelujah. [89:50] [singing] [89:55] Hallelujah. [89:57] [singing and music] [90:01] Halleluah. [90:09] Holy, [90:11] [singing] holy, [90:14] holy [90:18] Lord [singing] [90:20] God [90:22] Almighty, [music] [90:26] holy, [singing] [90:28] holy, [90:30] holy [90:35] the [singing and music] Lord [92:42] Hallelujah. [92:43] Good to see you all. [92:45] >> Good to see you too. Much love. [92:49] Good to be seen. [93:15] >> He want to have a U. Is that on [93:18] >> testimony? Yeah, it's on. [93:20] >> Um, it's not coming. [93:21] >> Is it on elsewhere? [93:29] >> Um, does anyone have a testimony burning [93:31] a hole in your pocket? [93:40] >> You know, I uh I was a while back I I [93:43] did a big job on uh [93:47] Ruan's car. And during that time, I [93:52] I uh lost a knife. It was kind of a [93:56] favorite knife. [93:59] And um [94:02] it involves a lesson about where you put [94:04] things. I I've always I have this rule. [94:07] I I I try to keep the rules I make for [94:10] myself. [94:12] I also try to keep the ones that uh God [94:16] has made plain to me, [94:19] but um once in a while I I don't keep [94:23] one. And so one of my rules is don't [94:28] ever set [94:30] a knife or one of your tools on the [94:33] bumper of the pickup truck. Just don't [94:36] ever set it there. [94:39] And one day I I did in fact I set it [94:43] there but of course I was going to just [94:45] you know get it right back. I knew that. [94:48] But um [94:51] anyway I didn't and I drove away and I [94:54] have no idea where that thing fell off [94:56] but you know somebody might have it in [94:58] their pocket now or who knows it might [95:00] just be covered up. But the only that [95:04] was the only time in my life it just [95:06] irked me so much I actually went and [95:09] bought another one the same same one [95:13] and I and for a long time I had it and I [95:18] was [95:19] really careful not to do that. And um [95:25] [clears throat] I also have basically [95:28] another rule is I put a lanyard around [95:30] my belt and the knives I have that have [95:33] belt clips that are good ones. I mean, [95:36] the ones that are strong [95:38] lanyard has a loop on the end and I clip [95:40] the knife onto the loop and then put it [95:43] in my pocket because then if it slips [95:46] out of my pocket when I'm doing [95:47] something, it'll be dangling [95:49] and there's no [95:51] natural way really will ever come off of [95:54] that lanyard. [95:55] And so, another one of my rules is [95:57] always put it on the lanyard. [96:01] And anyway, I don't know what happened, [96:02] but at some point I knew I had had it [96:04] out there. I was working on that car and [96:07] it disappeared. [96:09] And I looked and I looked. I looked [96:10] through jackets. I looked through pants. [96:13] I looked through tool boxes. I looked [96:15] and then I looked again. And then I [96:16] looked places where I knew it wouldn't [96:18] be. And then I looked places where it [96:20] could be. And I I looked I mean on [96:23] different days I looked all over the [96:25] place. And I don't know that I ever [96:28] actually gave up, but I didn't look so [96:31] much. [96:34] And then we went on our yearly camping [96:36] trip [96:39] and uh I was digging something out of a [96:43] a duffel bag. I think I picked it up and [96:46] that knife just fell onto the tent floor [96:49] [laughter] and I'm like [96:52] and there wasn't much in the duffel and [96:54] I thought it's not even it's not even [96:56] vaguely possible it could have just [96:57] ended up in the duffel bag itself. It [96:59] must have been in something that I put [97:00] in there. I I I I don't actually know [97:04] for sure, but um [97:08] I I had thought it was in Rowan's car. I [97:12] figured I must have just put it so cuz I [97:14] kept tool. It took me a while to do that [97:16] job and I would put tools inside there. [97:18] Anyway, after I found it, I wrote the [97:22] ran. I sent them a picture of the knife. [97:24] I said, "I found I found a knife." And [97:27] I'm like the woman in this gospels who [97:31] lost the coin and found her coin. And [97:35] she calls all of her friends and and [97:38] invites them over and they have a party [97:41] because she found the coin she had lost. [97:43] And when when we read stuff like that, [97:45] it might sound like what was it like a [97:48] quarter or dime? I mean, um, [97:52] does it say what it was? I can't even [97:54] remember right off hand. At any rate, it [97:56] was worth a lot more than 25 cents is [97:58] here now. [98:00] But um anyway, I told him I was I was [98:03] like that. And um [98:08] um [98:11] I was really happy to have it back. [98:16] And um [98:21] I think I was thankful for having had [98:23] the knife all I'd had all all the time [98:26] I'd had it, [98:28] even after it seemed like maybe I would [98:30] never find it. [98:33] Um, but sometimes, [98:37] you know, we get something back. We [98:39] Sometimes we forgot all about something. [98:41] We may maybe didn't even know it was [98:43] lost, you know, like if you have a lot [98:46] of things and then you come across it [98:48] and it's like [98:51] it's it's just wow. So, um, [98:55] we can lose track of things. [98:58] we can also actually [99:00] misplace or just lose things. [99:04] Um, [99:06] and uh, this time of year, I guess it's [99:09] good to [99:11] ask ourselves, [99:14] yes, every day of the year [99:17] is also similar, but this time of year, [99:22] more of a focus. we could ask ourselves, [99:26] you know, have I lost anything? Is there [99:28] anything I need to go looking for and [99:31] find? [99:33] And uh and then in some ways also we [99:35] might ask ourselves, do I need to be [99:38] found? [99:40] Um, [99:42] and in the uh [99:45] in the story about the what's called the [99:50] the parable of the prodigal son, [99:54] you know, the son the father loves him [99:57] and he gives him gives him his [99:59] inheritances cuz he asks for it and he
[100:01] goes and squanders it and he, you know,
[100:04] and then um
[100:06] he um he goes off, you He just he lives
[100:11] a lousy life
[100:14] and uh and it doesn't make him happy
[100:18] spending everything his father had given
[100:21] him. I don't know. I mean, he maybe
[100:23] enjoyed himself while he still had
[100:25] money,
[100:26] but he got to a pretty low point. The
[100:30] man really low
[100:33] and he remembered his father and but he
[100:36] just what he remembered. We've talked
[100:39] about this many times was that well, you
[100:41] know, I could maybe be a slave. I could
[100:44] just be a lowly. I could not a son, just
[100:48] a slave. But at least, you know, my
[100:51] father's slaves have enough to eat.
[100:56] So he he returns in repentance, of
[101:00] course.
[101:02] But what happens is
[101:06] to his surprise in a sense he finds his
[101:09] father and his father finds him and they
[101:15] returned to each other. Am I making any
[101:17] sense?
[101:20] And um
[101:24] in um
[101:27] [crying] I I think
[101:31] by the way if I forget
[101:34] it's it's actually my intention to kind
[101:36] of talk about prayer today.
[101:39] [laughter]
[101:41] Have I talked about it yet?
[101:44] >> Well, maybe I have. Maybe I haven't.
[101:48] Um, I think we could think of this son
[101:51] that returns and what he says to his
[101:55] father. Actually, in a way, what he's
[101:58] thinking before he gets there could be
[102:00] thought of as prayerful. But, but you
[102:03] could think of what he says to his
[102:05] father as a prayer.
[102:09] And um I mean have you ever prayed
[102:14] feeling lowly and
[102:18] totally unworthy? And
[102:21] have you ever had moments where you
[102:23] discovered that what the Lord thought
[102:26] about you was far better than what you
[102:28] were thinking about yourself?
[102:30] >> That ever happened? I I've had some very
[102:34] intense moments of that in my life.
[102:38] Um,
[102:39] but you know, we can lose track of a lot
[102:42] of things. We can lose track of
[102:46] just how deeply we're loved. We can lose
[102:48] track of how significant we are.
[102:54] We can
[102:56] we can just sort of drift
[102:59] into um
[103:02] regret, complaint.
[103:05] Um,
[103:07] I said complaint, didn't I? [laughter]
[103:13] Has anybody found it's easy to complain?
[103:17] >> Um, anybody found that it it you can
[103:21] complain without even realizing you're
[103:24] starting to complain?
[103:27] >> Has anyone found it's possible to
[103:29] complain without ceasing?
[103:32] >> Anyone ever found that?
[103:36] it and and I mean and without ceasing in
[103:38] a way where like you don't have to work
[103:40] at it. You don't even have to think
[103:42] about it.
[103:44] You don't have to plan to do it. It's
[103:46] just like it just rolls out. It's just
[103:48] like effortless. I mean, it has a price,
[103:52] but it's effortless. It It just doesn't
[103:54] take any investment. It's just easy.
[103:56] It's really easy to complain.
[104:00] And when you're in that state,
[104:04] everything
[104:06] that's a blessing vanishes.
[104:10] I mean, it may all still be there,
[104:14] but
[104:15] we're capable of disciplining ourselves
[104:19] in this discipline of complaint,
[104:22] complaint, grievance, whatever,
[104:25] to the extent that it actually
[104:29] we're so good at it,
[104:31] that it just it just erases everything.
[104:35] It's like it makes us blind to
[104:38] maybe even that we got to eat lunch,
[104:42] >> that our car runs,
[104:45] that we have a place to live,
[104:48] >> that there are people that care about us
[104:50] that I mean everything. You could just
[104:52] list everything like like the silverware
[104:55] drawer is going to be empty if you open
[104:57] it.
[104:59] I mean, it's pretty bad if you actually
[105:00] thought that that would be the case. I'm
[105:02] going to go open the drawer with the
[105:04] silverware and I know I just know it's
[105:06] all going to be gone.
[105:08] That would be quite an attitude, right?
[105:09] Cuz everything's gone. There's nothing.
[105:12] I've got nothing.
[105:15] And um I think I think I've been like
[105:18] that at times.
[105:21] And I've known some people
[105:24] that would actually state things that
[105:27] way so completely
[105:31] that it's like wow. I mean it I find
[105:34] found it striking
[105:37] and uh
[105:40] we can find a lesson for ourselves in
[105:43] sometimes what we notice about somebody
[105:45] else. And that's the best way to notice
[105:47] it
[105:48] because then we're not judging them.
[105:50] were just looking, you know, it's like,
[105:52] well, I I could be like that,
[105:56] but I'm not like that now. Maybe I could
[105:58] help them. Maybe I could I could pray
[106:01] for them. And sometimes don't even tell
[106:04] them cuz they some of them don't want to
[106:07] know. But um anyway, there's uh
[106:13] there's finding and there's being found
[106:17] and there's there's returning and
[106:19] there's being returned to
[106:23] and um
[106:26] see um
[106:29] let's see
[106:32] um
[106:34] in this passage in Deuteronomy 30 1-10
[106:37] 10.
[106:40] Um,
[106:46] so well, I'll just I'm going to read
[106:48] this little bit out of this book. The
[106:51] name of this parish nitsim means you are
[106:55] standing. As if Moses says to Israel,
[107:00] "After all my warnings of exile and
[107:03] cursing in the preceding chapter, you
[107:06] are still standing."
[107:09] God still has a promise of mercy for
[107:12] you.
[107:14] This promise of mercy will be fulfilled
[107:16] when Israel returns to God or makesh
[107:31] 10 verses of para nitsim Moses describes
[107:35] this to Shoua by employing the root shuv
[107:39] seven times.
[107:44] And um
[107:47] here they are. And it shall come to pass
[107:50] when all these things come upon you
[107:54] and you sh and you shall return your
[107:56] heart
[107:58] and return to Adoni and heed his voice
[108:04] that Adonai
[108:07] will return your captivity.
[108:11] and return and gather you from all the
[108:15] nations where Adonai your God has
[108:17] scattered you. So
[108:20] the Lord himself returns. [snorts]
[108:24] He turns and he returns not not just
[108:27] them. [clears throat]
[108:28] Kind of incredible, isn't it?
[108:34] And you shall return and heed the voice
[108:37] of Adonai. and Adonai will return to
[108:40] rejoicing over you.
[108:44] There's time there's a time when he
[108:46] wasn't rejoicing, but he he'll return to
[108:50] rejoicing over them if you return to
[108:53] Adonai your God with all your heart and
[108:55] with all your soul.
[108:58] So, I was thinking about this and I was
[109:00] thinking
[109:02] um
[109:06] I was thinking about prayer. I was
[109:09] thinking about exile.
[109:11] I was thinking about
[109:14] returning. And I I was thinking, you
[109:16] know, it's possible.
[109:18] Um
[109:20] I mean, there are there are cosmic
[109:22] things. There are things that encircle
[109:26] everything.
[109:28] and and we are part of those things. But
[109:30] then there are things that are about us.
[109:34] And I I think that we can go into
[109:39] exile in microcosmic ways in our own in
[109:44] our own head and heart. We can we can
[109:47] actually put ourselves in a state or
[109:51] sometimes even in a place
[109:54] like like the prodigal son did where
[109:57] where we're in exile in our own mind or
[110:02] in our own heart and our own thoughts
[110:03] and our own attitude.
[110:06] It could be it can be very tiny little
[110:08] things. Could be really big things. It
[110:11] could be a stream of little things.
[110:14] doesn't mean we've completely abandoned
[110:17] hope or left God, but something
[110:21] something is, you know, not quite right.
[110:27] And so,
[110:29] I don't know, maybe you can have one
[110:30] foot in exile and the other not in
[110:32] exile. Maybe you could have one toe in
[110:35] exile.
[110:39] Maybe you can have 10% of your thoughts
[110:41] in exile.
[110:43] or 50% of them. Or maybe you could drift
[110:47] all the way into exile even though
[110:50] you're still a free person.
[110:52] I mean, at least from outward
[110:56] appearances.
[110:58] So
[111:01] there may be lots and lots and lots of
[111:03] ways
[111:05] big and small
[111:08] that we can return
[111:11] to God and God will return to us. Am I
[111:15] making sense?
[111:17] >> So you know when the scripture says draw
[111:19] near to God and he will draw near to
[111:21] you. I mean it seems to me it's talking
[111:23] about people that believe in God, right?
[111:27] people that it would seem have some
[111:30] relationship with God, right?
[111:32] >> So, I mean, does that does that mean God
[111:35] left him?
[111:37] >> No.
[111:40] >> So, if we think about it, I mean, are we
[111:42] always as near to God all the time as we
[111:44] could possibly be?
[111:47] I
[111:47] >> I mean, have we ever actually been as
[111:49] near to God as it's possible for us to
[111:51] be? What do What do you think? I mean,
[111:54] you can answer it for yourself. If you
[111:56] say yes, I'm not going to argue with
[111:57] you.
[111:59] But if you say yes, no, there's no way I
[112:01] could become any closer to God. I, you
[112:03] know, I would,
[112:06] if I found myself thinking that, I'd
[112:08] say, hey, what's up with you? That that
[112:11] that sounds a little too much like
[112:13] you've like you've really arrived, you
[112:16] know, like you're you've finished the
[112:18] journey
[112:19] >> or like you can't
[112:22] >> what? Or like you can't get far enough.
[112:25] >> Or like you can't get far enough.
[112:30] >> Um
[112:31] >> along the journey. You mean
[112:33] >> like there's no possible closer you
[112:35] could get?
[112:37] >> Like what? [laughter]
[112:39] >> There's no possible closer you
[112:41] >> I was speaking.
[112:42] >> There's no possible closer you could
[112:43] get.
[112:44] >> Oh yeah. Yeah. I mean did anyone else
[112:47] hear that voice? Cuz I all of a sudden I
[112:50] heard a voice. Um yeah, but the thing is
[112:57] we have not known everything. [snorts]
[113:00] I always forget where the verse is, but
[113:02] I think it's Job. And he he says, "These
[113:06] are but the fringes of his ways." And
[113:09] you know, Job has learned a lot by this
[113:11] point in the book. And he was a good guy
[113:13] to begin with, a righteous man. These
[113:17] are but the fringes of his ways.
[113:20] And it says something like, "But but so
[113:24] little
[113:27] is he inquired of." You know, like there
[113:31] there there's there's a lot to inquire
[113:33] of the Lord about.
[113:36] So anyway,
[113:38] what I'm suggesting is that I mean, I
[113:41] want all Israel to come
[113:44] completely back to the Lord. I want I
[113:48] want to see Jerusalem the praise in all
[113:51] the earth.
[113:54] And um I mean recently for some time
[113:58] which you probably all know at least at
[114:01] some level I've been thinking a lot
[114:04] about what what people call the Lord's
[114:07] prayer which I like to just think of as
[114:10] Yeshua's instruction about the manner in
[114:13] which to pray.
[114:16] while also always saying I do not object
[114:19] to praying
[114:22] praying it. But what I what I've
[114:25] discovered is I started really thinking
[114:27] about it and I started thinking
[114:30] well this is a pattern this is a an
[114:33] instruction about prayer
[114:36] and then um most days
[114:42] but I mean there are some exceptions and
[114:44] then some gaps but
[114:47] I actually
[114:49] I think I've mentioned this I found that
[114:52] it's easier for me to spend a dedicated
[114:56] amount of time
[114:58] praying without without even thinking
[115:01] about how much time has gone by if I set
[115:03] a timer
[115:06] and I just close my eyes and I start
[115:08] praying
[115:10] and and I've discovered that um if I
[115:14] pray along those lines
[115:17] uh and it's like different every time I
[115:21] start I mean this week one day I was I
[115:24] was praying
[115:26] along those lines
[115:29] and just this whole thing about God's
[115:32] will being done
[115:35] and um being done on earth as it is in
[115:39] heaven.
[115:42] And it's not hard for me to imagine
[115:45] Jerusalem and the Temple Mount,
[115:46] especially since I was there and spent
[115:50] quite a bit of time there with my wife
[115:52] and I a few years ago.
[115:56] And I I just started praying about
[115:58] Jerusalem and I and and it just just
[116:02] kept expanding. But part of that was to
[116:07] um
[116:11] if things were here, if everything here
[116:14] was the way it was in the kingdom of
[116:16] heaven,
[116:18] then there wouldn't be any enmity about
[116:21] Jerusalem.
[116:23] There wouldn't be fighting over who
[116:25] should control the Temple Mount.
[116:29] the the Arabs wouldn't be in control of
[116:31] the Temple Mount, but they also would be
[116:35] cursed.
[116:37] They could be worshiping with God's
[116:40] people on the Temple Mount.
[116:44] And you know, it's really something to
[116:46] think about.
[116:48] A Jerusalem with no strife.
[116:52] A Jerusalem made of entirely
[116:55] free people
[116:57] who are worshiping the God of Abraham,
[116:59] Isaac, and Jacob together
[117:03] who agree
[117:06] that his son Messiah Yeshua
[117:10] is
[117:13] the redemption of all the earth.
[117:19] And
[117:20] the one in whom all the disputes
[117:25] and hatred and [clears throat] grievance
[117:28] and
[117:30] all of it, the loss, everything
[117:33] is
[117:36] put to rest and changed.
[117:40] And then it's possible to pray
[117:42] >> and just start thinking about yourself.
[117:45] I guess I'm going to have to I don't
[117:48] know what's happening with this.
[117:52] every
[117:55] every uh
[117:57] I I find myself praying, your will be
[118:00] done in my in my head,
[118:04] in all of my thoughts,
[118:08] on the top of my desk,
[118:12] in my vehicle, in the basement.
[118:16] And is this on now?
[118:18] >> Yeah, but you're not near it. Um
[118:25] and um and it you know just it's opened
[118:28] up just a way of thinking for me. It's
[118:32] like wow I mean do I really want things
[118:35] to be done on heaven as they are on
[118:37] earth?
[118:39] >> What
[118:39] >> and if I do I really want things to be
[118:42] done on on earth as they are in the king
[118:44] in the kingdom of heaven.
[118:45] >> That's an interesting thought. Would we
[118:47] really want things
[118:49] >> [laughter]
[118:51] >> Well, that's that's kind of the
[118:53] direction we end up going sometimes
[118:54] without knowing it is is backwards,
[118:57] right? But um if we really want that,
[119:01] it's like, "Wow, Lord, um
[119:07] really uh
[119:10] cause my cause my thought life to be
[119:12] like
[119:14] the way it would be in the age of the
[119:17] gun.
[119:19] my attitudes, my thoughts, my actions,
[119:24] my
[119:25] everything.
[119:27] And um
[119:30] and uh and there are some ways in which
[119:33] I think I've seen that prayer answered.
[119:36] There there are some things that
[119:40] I I I was just sitting thinking. I
[119:43] thought, "Oh, wow." you know, there's
[119:47] more order in that area now
[119:50] [clears throat] than there used to be.
[119:51] And I almost had noticed.
[119:55] And uh and I thought, wow, maybe
[119:59] maybe it's working. Maybe he's putting
[120:02] my thoughts in that way and asking is
[120:04] maybe maybe God answers prayer.
[120:09] That that would be a thing, wouldn't it?
[120:13] And uh and you know, I could think,
[120:15] well, yeah, but I've got this horrible
[120:17] mess that's like I've been thinking I'
[120:20] going to conquer it for years and it's
[120:22] still a mess. And well, yeah, that may
[120:24] be true. But um if some messes are
[120:29] different and changed,
[120:32] um then maybe the bigger messes can also
[120:36] get changed. And I find every time I get
[120:40] on top of a mess and and keep it from
[120:42] becoming a mess again, it actually frees
[120:45] me up, saves me time, and clogs my
[120:49] thought life less because I not
[120:52] constantly confronted by the same old
[120:56] drag of a mess.
[120:59] So anyhow, um I I just want to encourage
[121:02] you to
[121:06] I want to en encourage you to keep on
[121:09] praying and um you know in a lot of
[121:13] translations it says uh pray without
[121:16] ceasing.
[121:18] Um
[121:21] I'm looking for something in my notes
[121:23] here and I'm not seeing it right away.
[121:25] Oh. Um, and I then I just thought, well,
[121:30] what what does it say in the TLV?
[121:33] Turns out, um, in 1 Thessalonians 5, in
[121:38] the TLV, it says, "Pray constantly."
[121:44] And then when I read that, I said, "Oh,
[121:46] constantly." Um
[121:49] I mean and and at times when a person
[121:51] complains constantly that doesn't
[121:53] necessarily mean they're praying at abs
[121:56] they're complaining at absolutely every
[121:59] moment does it
[122:01] I mean the attitude could be present but
[122:04] actual complaining wouldn't necessarily
[122:06] be happening all the time right
[122:09] um
[122:11] anyway I thought of constancy then and
[122:14] constancy
[122:16] The definition is steadfastness of mind
[122:19] under under duress.
[122:22] So I guess that we would still pray then
[122:25] when we're under duress. We would pray
[122:27] when something's really bugging us when
[122:30] stuff is really going wrong. Does that
[122:33] sound like a good time to pray?
[122:36] >> And then it would be good to keep
[122:38] praying when things are really good.
[122:40] Because it's really easy to stop
[122:41] praying. The two two times it's easiest
[122:44] to stop praying are when things are
[122:46] really great and when things are really
[122:48] horrible.
[122:51] >> If that's not your experience, that's
[122:53] probably a really good thing.
[122:56] But it's weird that when things are
[122:58] horrible,
[123:00] it's really easy to not pray.
[123:05] And also when things are really good, or
[123:09] at least they seem that way, it's really
[123:11] easy to not pray.
[123:14] And the reasons for one and the other
[123:16] are probably similar.
[123:19] But I think there's a good reason why,
[123:22] you know, in it's in Proverbs, you know,
[123:24] it says, "Give me neither poverty nor
[123:27] riches
[123:29] that I don't not poverty that I don't
[123:32] turn into a wretched complainer who
[123:35] curses God. And don't give me riches so
[123:38] I don't get so comfortable with
[123:40] everything I just forget that God's
[123:42] there." You know, somewhere somewhere in
[123:45] between
[123:47] is is better. The I think the writer is
[123:50] aware of the weakness of human beings.
[123:55] >> When things are really good, you start
[123:56] to depend on it. You start to think you
[123:58] did it yourself. And when they're really
[124:01] bad, you're tempted to just
[124:05] get get down and just focus on things
[124:08] being bad and complaining.
[124:11] somewhere in the middle of course is
[124:13] it's like it's like temperature you know
[124:15] there's a narrow band of temperature
[124:17] that we can survive in and I think
[124:20] poverty and riches are you can survive
[124:22] them both but there's something similar
[124:26] there they have an effect so um so
[124:31] constancy it's also
[124:34] uh fidelity or loyalty
[124:39] um a state of being constant
[124:42] or
[124:44] unchanged
[124:47] unwa unwavering loyalty and love, faith
[124:50] or purpose.
[124:53] Um,
[124:55] so
[125:00] let's see here.
[125:11] So, as we as we enter
[125:15] the season of the
[125:18] the fall feasts, the the holy days,
[125:25] I want to encourage you to
[125:33] >> kind of think that in ways that you
[125:35] might not even be expecting.
[125:38] You could find the Lord again and and he
[125:41] could find you.
[125:44] Am I making sense or does it sound
[125:46] weird?
[125:49] >> You could
[125:51] return to him and he'll return to you. I
[125:54] think I think if you if you believe that
[125:57] if you draw near to God, he'll draw near
[125:59] to you, then the concept is well, I
[126:02] could get closer.
[126:05] And that and that you could call that
[126:07] returning. And if you get closer, he'll
[126:10] get closer.
[126:12] >> And and it's it's actually not complex.
[126:15] I mean, even just deciding that you want
[126:18] to be closer. And just tell the Lord,
[126:22] you know, I don't even feel like I'm
[126:23] moving, but I I'm coming closer. I want
[126:26] to be closer.
[126:28] Come come closer to me. I'm I'm, you
[126:30] know, help me to do it because I maybe I
[126:33] don't even know how to, you know, just
[126:35] move an inch or a foot or 10 feet or if
[126:40] it's a mile. I maybe I don't even know,
[126:42] but I'm I'm just in my mind and heart,
[126:46] I'm saying, I'm I'm coming closer.
[126:50] Just help me. And And you know what? He
[126:52] He's going to come closer. That's
[126:54] >> right.
[126:55] >> He'll come closer. That's right.
[126:57] And um so I'm going to I'm going to read
[127:01] this uh passage from First Thessalonians
[127:05] and I I may leave the other 2015
[127:09] things that I have lined up just for
[127:12] another time.
[127:14] Um,
[127:16] so it says
[127:19] in chapter 5 of 1 Thessalonians,
[127:22] starting at the 14th verse,
[127:26] we uh let's see, wait, wait. Yeah. We
[127:28] urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly,
[127:33] encourage the faint-hearted,
[127:36] help the weak,
[127:39] be patient with who?
[127:44] everyone.
[127:49] Maybe it's worth reading that again. We
[127:51] urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly.
[127:54] You know, that's that isn't easy to do.
[127:56] It doesn't mean go as cold them.
[128:00] Admonish the unruly. Encourage the
[128:03] fainthearted. You know, you know what?
[128:04] The unruly could also be faint-hearted.
[128:08] Did you know that?
[128:12] Help the weak.
[128:15] Be patient with everybody.
[128:18] Yes. Yes. Uh yeah. Yes. That does mean
[128:20] also that person
[128:23] or those people.
[128:26] See that no one repays another with evil
[128:29] for evil.
[128:31] But always seek after that which is good
[128:33] for one another and for all people.
[128:38] >> For all people. Wow. You seek what's
[128:41] good for one another. And maybe if
[128:44] you're really doing that, you're seeking
[128:46] good for all of humanity.
[128:50] Something to think about. Rejoice
[128:52] always.
[128:55] So it's kind of like rejoice without
[128:57] ceasing.
[128:59] Rejoice constantly.
[129:02] Pray without ceasing. Or or pray
[129:06] constantly.
[129:09] Pray.
[129:11] Don't stop praying. Don't lose your
[129:14] attitude of prayer.
[129:16] Don't let things stop you from praying.
[129:21] Make space for it.
[129:24] Realize that you can pray even when
[129:27] you're doing something else.
[129:31] >> That probably shouldn't be all of your
[129:33] prayer life, but you can.
[129:38] In everything give thanks,
[129:42] for this is God's will for you in
[129:44] Messiah Yeshua.
[129:46] Do not quench the spirit. Do not despise
[129:50] prophetic utterances, but examine
[129:53] everything. Hold fast to that which is
[129:56] good.
[129:58] >> Abstain from every form of evil.
[130:04] Now may the God of peace himself
[130:06] sanctify you entirely
[130:09] set you completely apart and may your
[130:13] spirit and soul and body be preserved
[130:17] complete without blame
[130:20] at the coming of our Lord Yeshua.
[130:24] [crying]
[130:24] Faithful is he who calls you.
[130:28] Faithful is he who calls you.
[130:32] and he also will bring it to pass.
[130:37] >> Brethren, pray for us. Greet all the
[130:40] brethren with a holy kiss.
[130:44] >> Be careful how you apply that one.
[130:49] You could laugh
[130:52] or maybe it's not funny.
[130:55] Um,
[130:58] I adjure you by the Lord to have uh I
[131:03] I'm going to just paraphrase this and
[131:05] massage it. I adjure you by the Lord to
[131:09] read this letter again to yourself over
[131:12] and over.
[131:14] Repeat it in your own head.
[131:17] The grace of our Lord Yeshua
[131:20] be with you.
[131:24] May the grace of our Lord Yeshua be with
[131:27] you and you and you and you and you and
[131:31] me.
[131:33] Um,
[131:41] choose life.
[131:47] And um I'll just throw this thought in
[131:50] cuz I was going to say more about it,
[131:52] but I started thinking about
[131:57] what what's referred to as the Lord's
[131:59] Prayer as
[132:02] um
[132:04] a a way to approach
[132:07] repentance,
[132:09] returning
[132:10] and being returned to. And if you if you
[132:13] look through and think about it, I think
[132:16] you probably start to notice it it sort
[132:18] of encompasses everything there. I don't
[132:21] think there is anything from the
[132:23] beginning to the end that isn't in one
[132:26] way or another covered
[132:29] in that manner of praying. It's
[132:32] comprehensive. It acknowledges God.
[132:36] It uh
[132:38] brings up forgiveness and being
[132:41] forgiven.
[132:43] It it's the coming of the kingdom, the
[132:46] fullness of everything God promised. I
[132:49] mean, it's in one form or another. It's
[132:52] it is all there.
[132:55] So, um I just want to encourage you to
[132:58] um
[133:01] um
[133:03] don't engage in morbid introspection.
[133:06] Just just be wowed by the fact that
[133:10] we have this heavenly father who wants
[133:13] to draw near to us and who like the
[133:17] father in the parable
[133:21] in any way at all in which we return he
[133:24] comes running to us in joy.
[133:27] >> Um that's a really really encouraging
[133:31] prospect to me.
[133:34] So, um,
[133:39] yeah, give it some thought, pray about
[133:42] it, ask the Lord to help you.
[134:07] Um before we open the ark and do the
[134:10] Elenu, just remind you that this is the
[134:13] first Shabbat of the month. And so the
[134:16] blue uh container there is for
[134:19] supporting the Winrads in Israel and
[134:23] beyond in um the justers in Israel and
[134:27] America and other places. Jackie in
[134:31] Israel and the shishoffs in Israel. So
[134:34] Lord, we um ask that you would bless
[134:36] them in this uh season coming. Lord, in
[134:41] this new year that's coming, we ask that
[134:44] you would cause their ministries to
[134:46] flourish,
[134:47] to cause gifts to be given freely to
[134:50] them. Lord, we know we know the
[134:53] lifestyle of these people. Not a one of
[134:56] them, not a one of them lives a life of
[135:00] luxury, Lord.
[135:02] And we know the sacrifices they've made.
[135:05] We thank you that the money that we do
[135:08] raise for them and others give to them
[135:10] goes into ministering directly to the
[135:13] needs of the people in Israel. And so we
[135:16] bless them in the name of Yeshua.
[135:20] >> Okay, we need a couple volunteers to
[135:22] open the ark for the Elena.
[135:28] Abby's volunteering, but there'd have to
[135:30] be an adult with her. Ah, great. Thank
[135:34] you, Amy and Belle.
[135:40] >> With company, huh?
[135:42] >> Walk, walk, walk, please, and get
[135:43] parents permission.
[135:46] >> Okay.
[135:48] So, yes, let's stand while the ark is
[135:50] open and we do the Elenu.
[135:56] It's on the bottom of page 25.
[136:02] >> [singing]
[136:12] >> Oh, sorry.
[136:15] I'm distracted up here. Um
[136:22] um
[136:26] [singing]
[136:30] New
[136:51] Zeal.
[136:53] [singing]
[136:58] Who? Elohim.
[137:21] an
[137:21] >> [singing]
[137:30] [singing]
[137:32] >> aode.
[137:33] We hope, oh Lord our God, to soon behold
[137:36] your majestic glory when all
[137:38] abominations shall be removed and all
[137:41] false gods shall be at an end. Then
[137:44] shall the world be perfected under the
[137:46] rule of the Lord Almighty, and all
[137:49] mankind shall call upon your name. For
[137:52] to you every knee must bow and every
[137:55] tongue declare that you are God. Reign
[137:58] over us soon and forever. May the
[138:01] kingdom of David's greater son be
[138:03] established forever. For then shall the
[138:06] words be fulfilled.
[138:11] [singing]
[138:15] Aron,
[138:17] [singing]
[138:26] [singing]
[138:34] [singing]
[138:39] you can close the ark.
[138:46] be strengthened.
[138:48] So, I was about to apologize for that
[138:51] getting distracted, but um in keeping
[138:54] with kind of what the Lord was speaking
[138:57] in worship, um
[139:00] let's be careful not to just fall under
[139:03] condemnation and guilt for distractions
[139:05] because what could be more wonderful to
[139:07] be distracted by than a bunch of
[139:08] beautiful kids, right? So sometimes just
[139:11] the beauty in God's creation distracts
[139:15] us and um so let's not get so tied to
[139:20] the form
[139:22] you know that we end up coming under
[139:24] condemnation because you know like oh we
[139:26] didn't pray the the Lord's pattern
[139:28] exactly or we lost track of the Elena
[139:31] which we've known for you know decades
[139:34] right so just just a a word of keeping
[139:37] us mindful of what really matters
[139:46] That's interesting that my wife said
[139:48] those things because
[139:51] one of the 2015 things that I had in
[139:55] mind was
[139:56] that um at Yavna
[140:00] after the destruction of Jerusalem when
[140:04] they were
[140:06] you know I guess you could say
[140:08] formulating ing
[140:10] things about how things would continue
[140:14] without the temple. Um
[140:18] there was actually
[140:20] room for spontaneous
[140:23] uh prayer in the midst of the practice
[140:27] of
[140:29] uh formalized prayer. There were
[140:32] discussions about it and decisions made.
[140:35] Um but
[140:37] at at least at that time the notion of
[140:41] something just spontaneous coming about
[140:45] within the form was
[140:48] uh something that was going on. Um, and
[140:52] I I think that's I mean even in your own
[140:55] mind and the way you just go about
[140:57] praying in your own prayer life, you
[140:59] know, you don't have to put heavy
[141:02] stipulations on yourself about how you
[141:05] go about it. Just just come and just
[141:08] come and talk to the friend that loves
[141:10] you, you know. So, uh, anyway,
[141:15] the Lord bless you and keep you. The
[141:17] Lord make his face shine upon you and be
[141:19] gracious to you. The Lord lift up his
[141:22] countenance upon you and give you peace.
[141:43] >> [groaning and crying]
[141:44] >> Adonai. [singing]
