Transcript [00:00] I want to ask you to open your Bibles up [00:02] to the book of Zachchariah. [00:06] I see people going to the index [00:08] immediately. [00:10] Go to the book of Matthew, make two [00:13] streets over Malachi, then over to [00:16] Zachchariah. And I want to talk about [00:19] what happens on the feast of [00:21] tabernacles. I'm only going to preach [00:23] about 15 20 minutes because I want to [00:24] take time to pray. [00:28] About gosh, how long has it been now? [00:30] Maybe 15 years ago or so. You know, a a [00:35] lot of things in the Bible, we have had [00:39] to just say, "I believe it." There's no [00:43] physical evidence of it. There's no [00:45] proof of it. But if God says it, I [00:48] believe it. And that settles it. [00:50] >> Right. Well, how many of you I I used to [00:52] have a t-shirt that said, "God said it, [00:54] I believe it, that settles it." [00:56] >> But I don't wear it anymore because God [00:58] said it, that settles it whether I [01:00] believe it or not. [01:01] >> But there are a lot of things that we we [01:04] had to just say, "Well, we believe in [01:07] God. We believe his word. He can't lie." [01:11] And for years and years, [01:14] um, people said the original city of [01:18] Jerusalem didn't exist. Most of what you [01:20] see the city of Jerusalem is from the [01:23] crusader days. The old city, the city of [01:27] David, nobody could find it. And we [01:29] found out later that we were dig [01:32] everybody was digging on the wrong side. [01:34] They were digging in the wrong place. [01:37] There's a place there called Warren's [01:39] well where an English general they found [01:42] water when they when when England [01:45] occupied Jerusalem after World War II. [01:48] And so we'd go down and see it. I was [01:50] with a friend of ours from Israel and we [01:54] go down to see it. He's lived there his [01:55] whole life. He's a brilliant Jewish [01:57] Christian. Uh speaks nine languages, [02:00] Joseph. And we go down and we'd always [02:02] go down and look at it. And this is [02:04] where, you know, this happened, that [02:05] happened. But all of a sudden, as we're [02:08] there, and you have to climb down these [02:10] these stone steps and then climb back [02:13] up. So we were there and all of a sudden [02:15] these three soldiers were there looking [02:17] at it and all of a sudden they [02:19] disappeared around the wall and Joseph [02:22] who's lived there and been there [02:24] hundreds of times said where did they [02:26] go? So we followed them around the wall [02:28] and we came into this huge opening. They [02:31] had just discovered the original gates [02:34] of Jerusalem. [02:37] >> Now for 2,000 years we knew it was true [02:41] but there was no proof. And so [02:43] everybody, ah, that's not true. You're [02:44] all making it up. There it was. And so [02:47] they begin to excavate this. They [02:49] realize here's the original city of [02:52] Jerusalem. I remember when they first [02:54] started and found David's palace and [02:56] they found all this stuff. And the the [02:59] nation of Israel asked me to come over [03:01] and do some commercials for tourism to [03:04] show this. I mean, there was You go [03:06] there now and there's snack bars and [03:09] everything there, but then it was just [03:11] dirt and rocks and it's like, "Wow, this [03:14] here's here's biblical proof." Thousands [03:17] of years old. And I remember doing they [03:19] were filming and doing a a commercial [03:21] and all of a sudden it came to me. I [03:23] said, "If you don't believe the Bible, [03:25] the rocks will cry out [03:27] >> and prove that God is God." Well, [03:31] that that was years and years and years [03:33] ago about 15 years ago. Uh right, you [03:38] know, and where the old city was is [03:42] housing on top of it, you know, they [03:44] just built on top of it. And so, uh a [03:47] water pipe broke and they dug down and [03:51] then they dug down to fix the a water [03:54] pipe. They saw these massive stones, [03:58] street stones. So they started [04:00] excavating it and they found what's [04:02] called the pilgrimage road, which is [04:04] what we're talking about today from the [04:07] pool of Saleom all the way up making [04:10] aliyah all the way up to the temple. And [04:14] they would use this on Passover. They [04:16] would use this on Pentecost shàuot. [04:18] They'd use this on feast of tabernacles [04:20] sukkot. On Passover, everybody would [04:23] bring a first fruit offering. But a lot [04:26] of people from in other countries, Jews [04:29] from other countries and Gentiles who [04:32] believe the Bible, they would send [04:34] somebody to bring their first fruit. [04:36] This is what Jesus talked about. 30, 60, [04:38] 100fold. They would send somebody to [04:40] bring the first on Pentecost shàuote. [04:44] They would maybe send somebody. I mean, [04:46] you're coming from Europe, you're coming [04:48] from Germany, you're coming from [04:49] Austria, coming from Syria, coming from [04:51] Egypt, they would send somebody. But on [04:54] the feast of tabernacles [04:57] that nobody sent anybody, they all came [05:00] themselves because they said, "This is [05:03] the one we don't want to miss. This is [05:06] the one we don't want to take any chance [05:08] that somebody gets lost or somebody does [05:11] something wrong or something happens. We [05:13] want to be there because this offering, [05:16] this time launches us into unusual [05:21] supernatural miracles of God. [05:25] >> Now, in two weeks, I'm going to teach a [05:27] message that's going to blow your mind. [05:30] It is so exciting. And and and actually, [05:34] I had half the message. We were up here [05:36] on in the studio filming TV and Anna [05:39] says, "I wonder what this means." So, we [05:41] went to change and I said, "I wonder [05:43] what that does mean." So, I looked it up [05:45] in Hebrew. [05:47] It's going to blow your mind. It all [05:49] ties in with end time signs, wonders, [05:51] and miracles. So, today we're going to [05:54] launch you into that. All right. And so, [05:57] during the Feast of Tabernacles, this is [06:00] where it's it's an amazing celebration. [06:02] And I'd really like to get somebody on [06:04] staff that does drama and stuff because [06:07] if we would do during the feast of [06:09] tabernacles a drama [06:11] >> of bringing the water liation and [06:14] bringing the high priest and the guy [06:17] playing the the pierced one playing the [06:19] the this is all saying we are close to [06:23] the coming of the Messiah. It's it's an [06:26] amazing millions of Jews would come up. [06:30] Uh a few years ago, every year in [06:32] Jerusalem, [06:34] um [06:35] the government of Israel [06:39] invites politicians from all over the [06:41] world. It's called the Ambassadors [06:43] Conference, and they bring them over to [06:45] talk about the legal political rights [06:50] for standing with Israel. Every year [06:52] they bring me over and I talk about the [06:55] spiritual reasons for standing with [06:58] Israel. And I've told you this story [07:00] before. So the third day we were meeting [07:02] with Prime Minister Netanyahu. Scotty, [07:05] Pastor Scott was with me. You can see [07:06] the picture of him uh photobombing us in [07:09] the back there. And uh and and so uh [07:13] this one guy from Europe kept pushing [07:15] the issue with the settlers. The [07:17] settlers. The settlers. The occupiers. [07:20] You know, I like what a guy I I I got a [07:22] video this morning and it's and what's [07:24] his name? Bill Meyer. [07:27] >> Bill Mayer. And he said, "Calling Israel [07:29] occupiers is like calling the Native [07:32] Americans occupiers. [07:34] >> They were here first." [07:36] >> And so, and so this guy kept pushing [07:39] about the uh the West Bank and and Judea [07:43] and Samaria. And BB, Prime Minister [07:45] Yahoo was answering and being very kind, [07:47] very politically correct. But the guy [07:48] wouldn't leave it alone. And so he was [07:50] getting irritative. Prime Minister was [07:52] getting irrit. We're all getting [07:53] irritated. You know, I want to lean over [07:55] Scotty. Scotty, lay hands on that guy. [07:58] >> Right. And then a left. [08:00] >> And so Josh Reinstein, who's the head of [08:03] Israeli Ally Foundation, he's sitting [08:05] next to Prime Minister. And I'm sitting [08:07] right there and he goes, "You asked the [08:08] last question." I go, "No, no, I don't [08:10] want." He's already upset. No. He goes, [08:12] "You asked the last question." I go, [08:13] "No, no." And so Josh goes, "We only got [08:15] time for one more question. Pastor [08:17] Larry's the only religious leader here. [08:19] And Pastor Larry, what what would you [08:22] like to ask Prime Minister? And I went, [08:23] "Oh, thanks, Josh." And so I said, [08:25] "Prime Minister, every time we we find [08:27] something in Israel, the the world says, [08:31] the liberal media says it's fake. It's a [08:34] counterfeit. It's not." I said, "We [08:35] we've got the pilgrimage road. This is [08:38] the very road that everybody walked up [08:41] on the feast of tabernacles to welcome [08:44] the prepare for the coming of the [08:46] Messiah. I said, "They can't say it's [08:49] counterfeit." He goes, "Well, Pastor [08:50] Larry, they already are saying it's [08:52] counterfeit." I mean, that'd be like [08:53] counterfeiting Highway 35. [08:56] >> But he said, I said, "How significant is [08:59] it?" Here's what he said to me. He said, [09:05] "Back in the times of Jesus, [09:09] your ancestors and my ancestors," [09:11] because Jews and Gentiles worship God [09:13] together then. [09:14] >> That's right. [09:15] >> And he said, "We walk this road [09:17] together." [09:19] He said, "I believe we found this road [09:23] because we're about to walk it together [09:25] again." [09:27] And I believe that in ancient Hebrew [09:30] there's no word for what? [09:32] >> So I believe we have found it because it [09:36] is preparing us [09:38] >> to together walk the road for the coming [09:41] of the Messiah. Now I understand that [09:44] people are say man our world is getting [09:46] crazy. America is getting crazy. [09:49] >> But I read the end of the book. We win. [09:52] >> And we're not going out the losers. [09:54] We're going out the winners. We're going [09:56] out the head, not the tail. And I want [09:59] you to grab a hold of let let's say [10:02] let's say it's let's let's say it's just [10:06] like God, this is almost impossible. [10:10] Nothing is impossible with our God. Our [10:15] God can bring gold coins out of a fish's [10:17] mouth. Our God can bring water out of a [10:20] rock. Our God can release us from the [10:23] grips of Pharaoh. Our God wants to bring [10:26] you this year unusual miracles. Amen. So [10:30] read with me in Zechariah. Did you [10:32] finally find it? [10:34] >> Okay. So if you read if you start at at [10:37] verse one of Zechariah 14, it's talking [10:41] about [10:43] the world coming against Israel, the [10:44] world coming against Jerusalem. It's [10:47] talking about the coming of the Messiah. [10:50] But I want you to jump down to verse 16 [10:53] and listen to what it says. And this is [10:55] what we're talking about today. And it [10:57] shall come to pass. It shall come to [11:02] pass. [11:03] >> Not maybe. [11:05] >> Not might. Come on, somebody help me. [11:08] >> Not You got to hold on. You got to grab. [11:10] It shall. It shall. What? And I'm gonna [11:13] pick on Asher. I'm going to embarrass [11:14] Asher. When Asher was in jail, [11:18] we would light the Shabbat candles and [11:21] Judah was having problems and we'd say, [11:23] "Thank you that Asher and Judah are like [11:25] Ephraim and Manasseh." Ephra and [11:27] Manasseh. Calling those things which are [11:30] not as though they were. [11:35] >> Somebody's going to get financially [11:37] blessed this year. [11:39] >> Somebody's going to have their home [11:41] healed. [11:42] >> Somebody's going to have their body [11:43] healed. [11:45] might as well be you. [11:47] >> A come on. [11:52] >> You know what amen means? [11:55] >> SO BE IT. I BELIEVE [11:57] >> somebody's going to get find a wife that [12:00] couldn't find a wife. [12:02] >> Somebody's going to look at you guys and [12:04] go, "You know what? You're really good [12:06] looking." You Well, thank you, Jesus. [12:09] IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. SOMEBODY'S GOING [12:11] TO GET A HUSBAND. Come on, Katie. Come [12:13] on, Katie. [12:15] I Oh, she's watching right now. I'm [12:17] going to get I'll get phone calls on the [12:19] way home. All right, look what it says. [12:20] And it shall [12:23] >> come to pass [12:25] >> that everyone who is left of all the [12:28] nations, the nation means Gentiles, [12:30] non-Jews, [12:32] which came against Jerusalem, shall go [12:35] up from year to year to worship the [12:37] King, the Messiah. Now look, look. The [12:40] greatest enemy that Israel had that [12:44] delayed the coming of the Messiah was [12:46] the church. [12:48] >> Now, not real Christians, but the [12:51] church. The church preached [12:53] anti-semitism. The church preached, you [12:56] know, to uh the Jews or pigs. The church [12:59] the church did the inquisitions. The [13:01] church prepared the Holocaust. And so [13:04] he's saying here the Gentiles who were [13:07] against now are standing with them. [13:11] >> That's only happened in the last few [13:13] years, guys. That's how CLOSE WE ARE. [13:16] COME ON, SOMEBODY. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? [13:18] THAT'S HOW CLOSE we are. [13:21] >> Amen. [13:22] >> To understanding that this is that [13:25] season. And it shall come to pass that [13:27] everyone who is left of all the nations [13:30] which came against Jerusalem shall go up [13:32] from year to year to worship the King, [13:35] the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast [13:38] of tabernacles. [13:42] >> All of a sudden, Gentiles will start [13:44] understanding this is preparation. [13:47] >> Look at the next verse. And it shall be [13:50] that whichever of the families of the [13:52] earth do not come to Jerusalem. Now, [13:55] we're not coming physically, but we're [13:57] coming spiritually to worship the King, [14:00] the Messiah, the Lord of Hosts. On them, [14:04] there will be no rain. So, he's saying [14:07] there's two different kinds of people [14:09] amongst the Gentiles. Those who are [14:12] going to understand the revelation, it's [14:15] not the truth that sets us free. It's [14:17] the truth we own that sets us free. And [14:20] he said, "We're going to all of a [14:21] sudden, like Prime Minister Netanyahu [14:23] said, start partnering with the nation [14:26] of Israel because our Jesus came from [14:29] the nation of Israel. He's returning to [14:31] the nation of Israel." And he said, [14:33] "This is going to happen." And the rain [14:36] that you've been waiting for. Maybe [14:38] you've been going through 10 months of a [14:40] dry season or eight months of a dry [14:42] season or 10 years of a dry season. It's [14:45] about to rain and the rain's going to be [14:49] wonderful. Amen. Now, let me go through [14:53] this in the next 10 minutes. All right. [14:55] So, here Israel is in the wilderness. [14:58] That's the purpose of the feast of [15:01] tabernacles, the feast of booths, is to [15:05] remind us [15:07] in preparing for the Messiah the miracle [15:11] power of God. Now, picture Israel. [15:13] Number one, they're in the in the [15:14] wilderness. [15:16] And as they're in the wilderness, God [15:19] gave them divine protection. [15:23] >> At night, he brought a pillar of fire. [15:26] During the day, he brought a pillar of [15:28] smoke. Now, that fire was to lead us. [15:31] That's the purpose of the Holy Ghost. [15:33] Folks, I'm going to tell you something. [15:35] It's time for the Holy Spirit to get [15:37] back in church. [15:39] >> It it it's time cuz he's going to lead [15:41] us and guide us and teach us. But the [15:43] Holy Spirit is also a fire that [15:45] protects. [15:47] >> There was a a a a great cloud that [15:50] protected them. They're in the desert. [15:53] That desert is there's a reason why they [15:56] call that water down there the Dead Sea. [15:59] It's so hot. It's so miserable. But even [16:02] though they were in the desert, God [16:04] covered them with a cloud. This cloud [16:07] protected them from from the elements [16:10] destroying them. The fire led them and [16:13] warmed them at night. So God gave them [16:15] divine protection. When their enemies [16:18] would come up against them, God would [16:20] turn these elements and destroy their [16:22] enemy. Listen, we're at a time. I thank [16:26] God for his being treated and lying [16:29] being treated. And I thank God for art [16:31] being treated. But it's time for the [16:33] enemy not to be held back. It's time for [16:37] your enemy to be destroyed once and for [16:41] all. [16:43] >> Somebody ought to say amen. [16:45] >> So number one, there was divine [16:47] protection. [16:48] >> Number two, divine provision. [16:52] >> Every day for 40 years, God would bring [16:57] supernatural [16:59] provision. [17:02] >> I know I say this all the time. Listen, [17:05] the economy may stink, but our God is [17:09] not limited to the economy. Our God owns [17:14] the cattle on a thousand hills. [17:17] >> The earth is the Lord's, [17:19] >> the fullness thereof, [17:22] >> and it's our father's good pleasure to [17:24] give us the kingdom. [17:28] >> Say good pleasure. [17:29] >> Good pleasure. you know, be because [17:32] because of the attack on the prosperity [17:35] message, a lot of people are shy of of [17:40] asking for prosperity. Can I tell you [17:42] something? I believe Christians don't [17:45] ask enough. [17:46] >> Now, I'm not talking about being greedy, [17:49] >> but I'm talking about le let's put it [17:51] this way. If you make $100 a week, [17:54] what's your tithe? [17:56] >> $10. $10 goes to help us. We got [17:58] orphanages. We got feeding programs [18:01] overseas. Africa, Haiti, here in in in [18:04] Dallas. We got free. So $10 goes if your [18:07] if your if your salary is $1,000 a week. [18:12] What's your tithe? [18:14] >> So you've got more, [18:17] >> you have more to give to [18:20] make the world a better place. And to [18:22] How is that bad? [18:25] >> How How is that bad? God says, "I give [18:28] you power in your hands to gain wealth. [18:32] >> Prove me [18:33] >> if I won't open you up the windows of [18:35] heaven." Now, I love the teaching on [18:37] this. Remember on Russia Shana, they [18:40] opened three books. Th those who are [18:42] really serving God and helping take care [18:45] of fetal and the widows and the orphans, [18:47] etc., et [18:50] not not going to make it to heaven, but [18:52] uh no, you going to live in a mobile [18:54] home. All right. Um, and then those who [18:58] aren't going to make heaven, you're [18:59] going to miss the rapture. Okay, I love [19:02] the teaching on this. When God brought [19:04] the mana from heaven, every day they [19:07] would go out and collect the mana. [19:10] >> But ancient Jewish wisdom says those who [19:12] were worshiping God and praying and [19:14] studying and being kind to one another [19:17] and helping one another, they'd open [19:19] their tent and there would be the mana. [19:22] Those who were kind of lukewarm, they [19:24] had to go out and ways and and go find [19:28] it. Those who were not serving God and [19:32] not forgiving and not didn't stop [19:34] gossiping, they'd have to go way out [19:37] there and find it and be all sweaty and [19:40] dirty. So the more you serve God, [19:44] >> the easier your blessing. [19:47] >> In Dallas, we call that [19:49] >> we call that a clue. And so can can you [19:52] imagine and I I I love it that you know [19:57] mana there's there's always a big [19:59] question of what mana really was. But [20:02] let's say what what's your favorite [20:04] food? What's your favorite fruit? [20:06] >> Steak. Steak. So you got steak for [20:10] breakfast. [20:11] You got steak for lunch. You got steak [20:14] for dinner. [20:18] Tomorrow's steak. [20:21] Five years from now it's steak. [20:24] 17 years from now it's steak. [20:27] You know to me it would be Mexican food. [20:34] >> You know you know I used to we used to [20:36] Tis and I in the family we pastored in [20:38] Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our our church [20:40] almost our whole church was Mexican [20:42] Hispanic and they would always make me [20:45] man. [20:46] >> Do we have any Hispanic here? Do you [20:49] know what manoodle is? [20:51] >> How come you don't make me any? [20:59] >> You have not cuz you asked not. But you [21:02] have to make it with beef, not with [21:03] pork. [21:06] I mean to tell you, you know, [21:09] I believe Hispanic people will be over [21:12] the wedding supper of the lamb. [21:16] You know, when we had potlucks in Santa [21:18] Fe, I mean, the the the mamas would [21:21] bring in cauldrons of enchiladas and [21:26] tamales and tacos. Then we moved to [21:28] Australia and I know we've got a lot of [21:30] partner wonderful partners in Australia, [21:32] but most of the [21:39] they bring crackers with cheese. [21:46] I don't care what your favorite food is. [21:48] After after 40 years, it's going to get [21:52] old. But they could pray over their [21:54] food. Do y'all still pray over your [21:56] food? [21:58] >> Amen. Need to pray over your food. [22:01] >> At school, pray over your meal. Bow your [22:03] head. [22:04] >> Don't Don't shout, but pray. Father, I [22:06] thank you for you are Jehovah Gyra, our [22:09] provider. I love being on an airplane [22:11] and bow my head and pray. Father, thank [22:12] you for this food. [22:25] But they could pray over that and it [22:27] would it would taste like whatever they [22:30] wanted. [22:32] >> See, our God is an unusual God. [22:35] >> Let me say that again. [22:36] >> We don't know what mana exactly is, but [22:39] they could pray over that and say, "You [22:41] know what? I'm I'm in the mood for Thai [22:43] food today. I don't know if they would [22:45] say that. [22:47] I don't know if they they knew what Thai [22:49] food was, but let's say, you know, I'm [22:51] in the mood for this. And God would [22:53] supernatural. And why is that important? [22:55] Because God will do for you something [22:59] unusual. [23:01] >> He will do for you something unusual. [23:04] And and I know m may I hope you don't [23:05] get tired of me using my family as an [23:07] example, [23:09] >> but when lion got sick, [23:13] >> they said, uh, nobody's ever survived [23:17] this. No, no child. They call us back in [23:19] and they said he has a gene in him. And [23:23] I know you've heard me, but other people [23:24] need to hear it. And I want you to grab [23:26] unusual. [23:28] >> See, don't don't limit what God can do. [23:30] That's it. [23:32] >> Don't don't limit how we can do it. [23:35] >> And so they called us back in and said, [23:36] "We checked with the heads of children's [23:39] cancer all over the world. Lion has a [23:41] gene in him that there is no history [23:45] anywhere of a child his age having this [23:48] gene. [23:49] >> We think we can treat him." [23:51] >> Now, think about it. I can say to any [23:55] one of you here, [23:57] >> God can do something nobody's ever heard [23:58] of before. [24:02] Right. And you've got to hold on when [24:04] you're battling Goliath. You got to hold [24:06] on [24:07] >> to God can do something that no one's [24:09] ever even heard of before. [24:14] >> When When I was growing up, we had a [24:16] saying in the streets, once a junkie, [24:18] always a junkie. [24:20] >> Once you're a drug addict, you're always [24:21] a drug addict. [24:23] >> But there's another saying that says, [24:24] "Who the sun sets free shall be free [24:26] indeed. [24:31] God wants to use, and I don't want to [24:34] ruin it, but when I show you this new [24:35] revelation, it's going to blow your [24:37] mind. It's going to go, "Man, that's [24:38] what God's going to do for me." [24:41] >> So, God put a gene in lion that no one's [24:45] ever heard of. [24:49] Then Tis gets sick and they said, "We [24:53] need you to bring your daughters, your [24:55] sons, your grandsons because you have a [24:57] gene in you that will pass on to them." [25:00] Which was the worst thing for Tis worse [25:02] than her them saying, "I I think I can [25:05] give you four months." Can you imagine [25:06] sitting there and hearing, "I think I [25:08] can give you four months." You know, [25:10] when when when when you hear something [25:12] like that, [25:13] >> you got to grab your faith. [25:16] You got to have you got to have bulldog [25:19] faith. [25:21] >> You know, a bulldog [25:23] bulldog, you know, you got some it grabs [25:25] a hold of something. You got to just pry [25:26] it out. You got to go. I'm not I'm not [25:28] letting go. [25:30] >> Then they call us back in. [25:32] >> God gave lion a gene [25:35] that no one's ever heard of before. [25:38] >> Just think your miracle be the first. [25:42] >> That's how powerful it can be. [25:44] >> Oh, come on. You got to be more excited [25:46] than that. Then they call us in for [25:48] tizz. They call us in for Tiz and the [25:52] nurse walks in and she was a believer. [25:55] The doctor not a believer. The nurse [25:57] walks in before the doctor and looks at [25:59] us and goes only he could do this. [26:02] >> And then she then the doctor comes in, [26:04] you know. And he said, "Did she tell [26:06] you?" And we said, "No." And he said, [26:08] "Well, [26:10] we don't understand this, but you don't [26:13] have that gene [26:15] >> that will pass on to your children and [26:18] your grandchildren." That's cuz we [26:20] believe in breaking generational curses [26:24] >> because our Jesus didn't just die for [26:26] our sin. He died on the cross and took [26:29] every curse off of us. When we first started [31:42] pastoring, when we were in Santa Fe, New [31:45] Mexico, we saw 6,000 teenagers give [31:48] their lives to Jesus in three years. [31:50] >> 6,000 youth. We had a we had a we had [31:54] youth that was just it was they were [31:56] almost dangerous. [31:57] >> They were so on fire for God, they were [31:59] almost dangerous. In fact, they got [32:01] arrested several times. That's another [32:04] You ever see the movie uh uh Twins with [32:07] Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito? [32:09] How many ever seen that movie, you know, [32:11] where they're Arnold Schwarzenegger and [32:13] Danny DeVito and they're they got the [32:15] matching suits and they're walking down [32:17] and that's Santa Fe. The the big church [32:20] behind them is the big Catholic church [32:23] where uh the the the the mountains there [32:26] are the Sanre de Christo mountains, the [32:28] blood of Christ mountains. It had they [32:30] had this witchcraft [32:33] uh uh celebration zobor [32:36] zobro something like that where they it [32:39] just demonic and so we're preaching on [32:43] against idolatry and so some of my guys [32:46] some of my guy we used to have the [32:48] courts sentence kids de to tisi instead [32:51] of juvenile hall we hear your program [32:53] works well it does what's your program [32:56] get saved get baptized in the Holy Ghost [32:58] and send them out winning people to [33:00] Jesus. That's and and and and we had [33:02] 6,000 of them. I mean, it was it was [33:04] insane. It was crazy. So that one day [33:06] they I get a phone call from the police [33:08] department and they said, "Do you know [33:10] so and so and so and so and so and so?" [33:12] And they're all ex gangbangers. And I [33:14] said, "Yeah, they're they're they're [33:16] elders in my church." [33:19] And they go, "Well, [33:22] father, you need to come down." It was a [33:24] Catholic neighbor. They all called me [33:25] father. Father, I go, "Bless you, my [33:26] son. and you need to come down and get [33:29] them. I go, "What?" They go, "They they [33:31] they stole the portable PA system out of [33:34] the church." Waited on those steps [33:36] behind Danny DeVito and Arnold [33:38] Schwarzenegger for all those Catholics [33:40] come out and started preaching against [33:43] idolatry that that Mary isn't the [33:45] savior, Jesus the savior. They got [33:47] arrested. But we got them out. They're [33:48] they're okay now. We got them out. But [33:51] so so we open the we open the church up [33:54] and the first building this first [33:57] church Tis and I ever started. And uh we [34:01] opened it up in in the in the in the [34:03] hood in the barios and it was uh Henry's [34:07] liquor and meat market. My office was [34:10] the beer cooler. You know, you know [34:13] those coolers that got those big heavy [34:14] doors? You know the big those big heavy [34:17] How many know what I'm talking about? [34:18] >> Yes, I knew it. [34:21] I knew it. I knew you did. We had one [34:24] toilet in the back. It was just a mess. [34:26] We had 38 le 36 leaks in the ceiling. [34:29] But so [34:32] my first guy, the first the first ushers [34:34] I had, we're down there, Tis and I are [34:36] down there putting carpet in and putting [34:38] chairs up and painting the walls and [34:40] stuff. And I see these five or six guys, [34:43] drug addicts, living under the bridge [34:45] across the street. They're live. They're [34:47] drug addicts living across the bridge. [34:48] So I went down and witnessed to them and [34:50] led them all to Jesus. And so I said, it [34:54] was like Friday. We're getting ready for [34:55] our opening service on Sunday. And so I [34:57] said, "Listen, you guys need to come in [34:59] and be meet me here. I'll have a cup of [35:01] coffee with you and we'll hang out." And [35:04] so they came in, you know, about an [35:05] hour. And I said, "Listen, when I go to [35:07] take the offering," this is our first [35:08] service. I said, "I'm going to ask for [35:10] the ushers to come forward. I want you [35:12] guys to come forward." [35:14] So they're all in rags and they haven't [35:16] bathed in, you know, years. [35:21] And so instead of saying, "Can somebody [35:22] help me the offer?" you know, I'm [35:24] running myself bigger than I am. Can I [35:26] have the ushers come forward? He [35:32] So, the word spread, we're welcome [35:35] there. Doesn't matter where we're from, [35:36] we're welcome there. [35:38] >> So, we had all kinds of people coming, [35:40] you know, and for the first several [35:43] months, there was a guy, I mean, you got [35:45] to picture the whole church is not as [35:48] big as the stage. And there was a guy [35:51] that would sit in the back and it's all, [35:52] you know, mostly teenagers get saved and [35:56] then and and and so then uh their their [35:59] moms and dad would see the change. The [36:01] moms and dads would come in and then the [36:03] grandmas and grandmas come in. But there [36:04] was a white guy and I'm not against [36:06] white people. [36:08] I married one. [36:12] But there's a white guy that sat in the [36:13] back every every for for weeks and weeks [36:16] and just stare at me. and Tis played the [36:19] organ, you know, and she and I'd lead [36:22] worship. I'm so glad Jesus set me free. [36:26] And I'm so glad. And Anna sat next to [36:30] her on the floor as a baby and Kizel's [36:33] pregnant. And and you know that. And so [36:36] every time uh we were done worship um [36:40] this guy would get up, you know, it was [36:43] just one room. it was just one room. Uh [36:46] and and go to the back door and glare at [36:49] me and just slam the door close. So [36:52] after weeks and weeks of this [36:55] um I had somebody coming in and was [36:58] preaching and I and I can't remember who [37:00] it was, but I said, "Listen, [37:02] at at this point in the song, this is [37:04] our last song. You just get up. I won't [37:06] introduce you. You get up and I'm going [37:09] to grab this guy." So he sees me coming. [37:13] So he bolts for the door and he gets out [37:15] and he's walking down the street and I [37:16] go, "SIR, SIR, WAIT A MINUTE. SIR, WAIT. [37:18] WAIT." And he turns to me. He goes, "You [37:20] have no right being a preacher. [37:22] >> You have no right being a pastor." [37:25] And he began to name things that nobody [37:27] knew. Only me, God, and the devil. [37:31] >> And I thought, and I could hear him [37:33] singing in there, I'm so glad Jesus, [37:35] once I was a drug addict, but Jesus set [37:38] me free. Once I was a sinner, and Jesus [37:41] set me free. And he goes, "If these [37:42] people knew who you really were, you [37:45] have no right." And he walked away and [37:48] and I'm thinking, "How did he know that? [37:51] Nobody knew this." And I said, and I'm [37:54] listening to him singing and I said, [37:58] "He's right. I have no right." [38:02] And I love to tell you that Jesus at [38:04] that moment came and put his arm around [38:06] me and said, "Poor procito." How do you [38:09] say it? [38:13] >> He didn't. He grabbed me by my shirt [38:15] spiritually and said, "Don't you ever [38:18] let somebody bring up something that my [38:21] son paid for in full." There is no [38:24] condemnation. [38:29] >> So, I want you to understand [38:31] >> that when God says, "I'll rebuke the [38:33] devour," the enemy comes in and he wants [38:36] to steal. He he he can't deny the [38:39] blessing that Jesus paid for. He can't [38:40] deny it. [38:42] >> It's there. The seven place here. She said, "I'm seeing a divine dome [42:46] over our property on our a divine dome." [42:49] The firefighters came out and said, "I [42:51] mean, if you go out there behind us, on [42:54] the side of us, in front of us, next to [42:56] us, it's like the moon. It's ash. It got [43:00] to our property and basically we got hit [43:03] a little bit, little little, little [43:04] little bit." But the firefighter said, [43:06] "It's like hit your property and just [43:08] went around."
