Transcript [00:00] I want to tell one little story. This is [00:02] one of the most moving stories of my [00:03] life. And and I want to finish it with a [00:04] blessing for somebody that we all care [00:06] about here. It was a few years ago that [00:07] I went down to Texas to Granberry, [00:09] Texas, and hung out with an amazing [00:11] family, the Stacy family, and they love [00:13] Jewish people, and they love Israel so [00:15] much. I was walking around the house. [00:17] They're this most beautiful house uh [00:19] made at like a log giant log cabin [00:22] house, something really beautiful. And [00:23] they love Israel so much that they even [00:25] created a small log cabin for Jewish [00:28] visitors with kosher kitchen and kosher [00:31] food. And they're just all about [00:32] welcoming Israel. And they call their [00:34] house the blessing. And they have been a [00:36] blessing to the Jewish people into [00:37] Israel. And they fly the flag of Israel [00:39] over the Braz River. Is that how it's [00:41] pronounced? Okay. In any case, very [00:43] beautiful. I was there one time and I [00:44] was praying because it was morning time. [00:46] I had my tilain on and my prayer shaw. I [00:50] was walking around the house and I just [00:51] couldn't find a place to pray. There was [00:53] no corner. There was no place for me to [00:57] focus my prayers. I couldn't figure out [00:59] which way was Jerusalem. It was not [01:01] conducive to a prayer for a Jewish [01:04] Judeian priestly person like myself. And [01:06] I went up to an Stacy and I said to her, [01:08] "Anne, I love your house. I love your [01:10] blessing, but I have no place to pray [01:12] here." She goes, "What do you mean? I [01:13] cannot pray here. I need a pew." what [01:16] you guys call a pew, what we call aender [01:18] or a standender, right? I needed to face [01:21] Jerusalem. I need a picture of Jerusalem [01:23] in front of me. I need some holy books, [01:25] Jewish holy books that I'm going to be [01:27] comfortable. [01:27] >> That's very demanding. [01:28] >> I'm telling you, I was such a what we [01:30] call [01:31] such autbah. Such autbah. Oh my god. [01:33] Like a guy from Judea comes and he tells [01:35] you how your house should look like. [01:36] Like like [01:37] >> build me a sing. Who are you? Alicia the [01:39] prophet. [01:39] >> Exactly. I'm like I'm like I'm like who [01:40] am I? Don't get hurt feelings but I [01:42] don't know where to pray here. There's [01:43] no I need a I need a a tabernacle, [01:45] >> right? I need a Oh, this is the way we [01:47] do it here. [01:47] >> Beautiful deck outside on the water. [01:49] That's where I went. [01:49] >> She goes, I never heard that. [laughter] [01:52] Anyway, I got a phone call a few months [01:54] later. She goes, I changed everything in [01:57] my house and I made a a pew and I made [02:01] this thing facing Jerusalem. I put my [02:03] favorite picture of Jerusalem and I [02:04] bought those books, art scroll. I bought [02:07] the art scroll books and she puts them [02:09] out and she says to me, "It's changed my [02:12] life." She said to me, "I'm praying [02:14] towards Jerusalem. I got those holy [02:15] Jewish books, those those Bible books. I [02:17] got a picture my my that she took a [02:19] picture of Jerusalem that she loves." [02:20] And she it's given her a direction. And [02:22] she said to me, she goes, "And now I [02:24] love to pray the Shimon Esray." The [02:27] Shimon Ezra, which is the beautiful [02:28] central meditative prayer of the Jewish [02:30] people, which anybody could say and feel [02:32] connected to because it's got such a [02:33] beautiful blessing. Such a good thing. [02:35] Such a meditative awesome prayer. [02:36] >> Ancient, [02:36] >> very ancient, very very and very central [02:39] to the Jewish people. Yeah. and [02:40] meditative like like amazingly and that [02:42] story really impressed upon me that that [02:46] we have a way to share that we can share [02:48] a blessing and so I shared a blessing to [02:50] her she shared a blessing to me first I [02:51] shared a blessing back that blessing [02:53] turned her towards prayer towards [02:54] Jerusalem and has been a blessing I just [02:56] want to finish off this story by saying [02:58] that her son and our beloved friend John [03:00] Stacy John Jr. uh is right now very ill [03:02] and we don't like to say he's ill. We [03:04] like to say that he's on the way to [03:05] recovery. We'd like to pray for him. In [03:06] any case, [03:07] >> I don't know if you got the updates. [03:08] It's not just a thing we're saying. He's [03:10] he has tremendous tremendous success in [03:12] his recovery. Unbelievable. [03:14] >> We are here to pray. Okay. Let the let [03:17] the the Lord decides life and death and [03:19] healing and and that's all. I just [03:20] wanted to take a second here and to [03:22] thank Christian Zionist lover of Israel [03:24] who's brought great blessings to Israel [03:26] and and they need blessings back right [03:28] now. And so we're sending blessings [03:29] right now back to them. Full healing, [03:31] full recovery, [03:34] which means, you know, peace on the soul [03:35] and rest for the soul and [03:38] >> and that's that's our job is to send [03:40] that blessing. Amen.
