A co-pilot allegedly tried to hijack a plane headed to Israel, stabbed the captain, and sent the aircraft plunging thousands of feet.
The captain managed to open the cockpit door. A passenger rushed in, subdued the attacker, and helped level the plane. Other passengers tied him up with earphone cables while a dentist treated the captain’s wounds.
There were 174 people on board, including 30 children.
Two extra pilots happened to be on the flight and safely landed the plane in Saudi Arabia. Hours later, the passengers continued to Israel under fighter-jet escort.
Yet major outlets were still downplaying what happened, calling it a “violent incident” or a “fight between pilots.” Online, the reaction was just as disturbing, with comments flooded by false-flag conspiracies and blatant antisemitism.
When Jews are the targets, even an attempted plane hijacking becomes fodder for conspiracies, excuses, and outright Jew hate.
