Online claims about Section 219 of this year’s defense bill have sparked confusion about U.S.-Israel relations. Here’s what the provision actually does—and what it doesn’t. Section 219 directs the Pentagon to designate a senior official to coordinate existing U.S.-Israel defense technology cooperation.
