Transcript [00:01] Victoria Kana, it's a privilege and [00:03] pleasure to be sitting with you together [00:05] in Jerusalem. You're an amazing Jewish [00:07] mystic. You're a vocal artist. Millions [00:10] of views on YouTube and social media and [00:15] a deep understander of how one can bring [00:18] the body and the soul of the Hebrew [00:20] language together. Thank you for joining [00:21] us. [00:22] >> Thank you for inviting. [00:23] >> So, what is Jewish mysticism? [00:26] >> Wow. It's a very big question and I'm [00:29] not the one to [00:31] to have the responsibility to say it but [00:35] I can say it from my perspective. [00:40] What is mysticism? Mysticism is in [00:44] general is a way to connect with life [00:48] and to understand that there are other [00:51] layers that are unseen and unrevealed in [00:55] the [00:57] in the normal perspectives so-called and [01:00] and those other perspectives we want to [01:05] connect with them and to enrich our [01:09] being here otherwise It seems like [01:14] there is no reason. [01:16] >> Beautiful. And how were you introduced [01:18] to Jewish mysticism? [01:20] >> So I would say that through my father. I [01:24] grew up my father of blessed memory was [01:26] a rabbi. He was very much connected with [01:29] with the Jewish mysticism [01:32] and I grew up with that. So it's like my [01:35] DNA. [01:36] >> Are there any specific memories or parts [01:38] of Kabala? [01:38] >> There are lots of memories. [01:40] >> Can you share one short one? [01:43] um you know the the presence of the [01:46] letters and the language as something [01:50] which is not only a way to deliver [01:53] information. For example, I would sleep [01:57] and and under my pillow would be names [02:00] of an angels that that he wrote and are [02:05] warped in a nylon bag [02:09] >> and placed under your pillow [02:10] >> and placed under my pillow. [02:11] >> Your father put them there. [02:12] >> Yeah. [02:13] >> And did you feel weird about that? [02:15] >> No, I mean it was it was a part of our [02:17] life. So, so it means that you know it's [02:21] like the entities of the letters are [02:23] connecting with your with your with your [02:25] body when you're sleeping. It's it's a [02:29] very diff different relationships to [02:32] relationship. It's a very unique [02:33] relationship with letters language. [02:37] >> Is that something you do in your own [02:38] life for your own children? Do you do [02:40] you try connect in a very practical way [02:43] like putting under their pillows and [02:45] things like No, I don't do this, but um [02:50] I do it very much in my art artistic [02:53] work. It's like my main inspiration. [02:56] >> Can you unpack that for a moment? What [02:58] do you do with that? [02:59] >> What do I do? H for example, I I uh I'm [03:03] working now on a new sound in [03:06] installation in the Israel Museum in [03:09] Jerusalem. uh which I'm going I'm going [03:12] to take an amulet from their collection [03:16] an old amulet for protection and I'm [03:19] going to [03:21] um [03:23] the person is going to enter the the [03:26] room and the amulet is going to surround [03:28] him because I'm going to [03:32] um compose it and he will hear it on on [03:37] the walls but also I'm going to um [03:44] >> to scan [03:44] >> to scan. I'm going to scan it and [03:47] everything that I'm singing or [03:49] everything that will be heard will is [03:52] going to be to be shown on the walls. [03:56] >> So somehow there is a feeling that you [03:58] are surrounded within an amulet. [04:01] >> Wow. Beautiful. In an ideal world, would [04:05] all Jews be mystics? Should everyone be [04:08] studying this and connecting to it? [04:11] >> H [04:11] >> each one in his own way, you know, [04:13] because uh not everyone [04:17] has the same access, but I believe in [04:22] the deep of my my heart that h everyone [04:27] should should understand in a deep sense [04:30] that what he sees is not the only story. [04:35] >> Beautiful. And that's becomes access to [04:38] that to look beneath the surface. [04:39] >> Exactly. [04:40] >> What do you think of when I say the word [04:42] God, Hashem? What is that being? [04:46] >> So for me, God and Hashem are different [04:48] things. And Hashem for me is he shin me. [04:55] The shin [04:57] is, you know, every letter is a sound. [05:00] The shin according to the book of [05:03] creation sephira connects with the upper [05:07] world with the sky with the abstract [05:10] world. Whenever we see the sky we see we [05:13] see the abstract entity. So this is like [05:16] the sheen [05:19] and the mem [05:21] connects according to the book of of [05:23] creation with the earth [05:27] and and even when when you look at the [05:29] letter you see that the mem [05:31] >> is completely sealed. It's closed [05:35] it's like the the earth the earth is [05:37] sealed and the shin it's like an upper [05:40] root. it direct itself up. So when I say [05:46] hashem, I connect the shin and the mem [05:50] >> together the [05:52] >> and exactly and I take the hey in the [05:54] beginning which is only air. It's very [05:57] spiritual. [06:00] So to to say hashem is basically to [06:04] acknowledge everything up down [06:07] everything. [06:08] >> Amazing. So when you think of the [06:09] concept of Hashem, that's what you [06:11] think. Heaven meeting earth with [06:13] everything connected. [06:14] >> I think I think that it it is [06:17] everywhere. It is everything. It's it's [06:21] you know I think that even in a way it's [06:24] a crime to try to define it. [06:26] >> Wow. [06:27] >> Because it's beyond words, you know. [06:30] >> So to try and put words to a confines [06:32] infinite. [06:32] >> Exactly. [06:33] >> And which is wrong [06:33] >> because words are very limited. [06:35] >> Yeah. Even though your work is to show [06:38] how those words possibly [06:40] >> ex Exactly. So this is the the [06:42] contradictions that we are dealing with [06:45] between the the concrete world which is [06:48] so which is so uh limited [06:52] and the abstract world which is [06:55] >> limitless [06:56] >> limitless and I I believe that in the [06:59] Judaism we we make a very very [07:03] interesting in a deep way meeting points [07:06] between those two worlds. And when when [07:10] we spoke in the be beginning about [07:11] Jewish mysticism, [07:14] this is I I believe that this is also [07:17] about that. [07:18] >> Beautiful. [07:19] >> So what is the purpose of the Jewish [07:21] people then? [07:22] >> Wow. I tell you I'm not the one to say I [07:26] was just born like that. I was born [07:30] Jewish Jewish to this father. I I grew [07:34] up like that. Who am I to to say about [07:38] the [07:39] >> any of the studies in Sephi Zohar any of [07:42] the mystical teachings? [07:42] >> I definitely feel that there is a riddle [07:44] here. [07:45] >> Yes. [07:46] >> That there is a riddle here. It is [07:48] something again that I feel that if if I [07:51] put it into words then I lost it. You [07:55] know what I mean? The Jewish people [07:57] supposed to be ta they are ta ta the [08:01] riddle gone and and you you know what [08:05] during my life I understood that I'm not [08:09] sure it's a good thing to get out to get [08:12] rid from the riddle [08:15] >> the riddle is a part of our [08:19] existence [08:21] you know we have to accept it [08:24] >> otherwise there is no mysticism M [08:26] >> that's what's mystical [08:28] >> mysticism has to do with dealing with [08:30] question marks with you know in the in [08:34] the [08:36] there is one [08:38] one [08:40] beautiful thing about the the embryo and [08:43] they say that when the embryo is getting [08:46] out into this world the shut is open of [08:50] course because life is open [08:52] >> what's the shut [08:53] >> the shut they close [08:58] When the embryo [09:02] as as soon the embryo exits this air [09:05] >> the shut is open right [09:10] because because he got [09:10] >> the thing that was shut prior is now [09:12] open [09:13] >> and then the open is shut. [09:15] >> Yeah. [09:16] >> You see and this is the the riddle. [09:19] >> Yeah. [09:20] >> We live here [09:20] >> because that which was shut is [09:22] >> Exactly. We live Exactly. Exactly. We [09:25] live here and we don't know anything. If [09:27] you ask somebody if he knows something, [09:30] he can only tell you whatever people [09:33] other people told him or what he read. [09:36] The the the basic situation that we [09:39] cannot ignore is the is the riddle. [09:44] >> Wow. So that's the purpose of the Jewish [09:46] people. The answer is to be determined. [09:48] It's a riddle. We're not sure. [09:50] >> Yeah. I mean I just look at the history [09:52] you know we we what the only thing we [09:55] can do is have an overview of of the [09:58] history and and say wow [10:01] those people this is a very unique [10:05] journey you don't it's not just [10:08] something that you are that you see [10:11] in other people in other nations. So [10:15] what is it? Yeah. [10:17] >> And and you know we keep on asking I [10:20] believe that the question is more [10:22] important than the answer. [10:23] >> It's interesting even Mark Twain asked [10:25] this question. [10:26] >> Yeah. [10:27] >> No it's very interesting. It's very [10:29] interesting but but we we cannot [10:33] >> confine it. [10:33] >> Confine it because it's a riddle. [10:36] >> Yeah. [10:36] >> You know [10:37] >> how does prayer work? [10:40] Um you know prayer is not a instruction [10:43] to to uh to open a com computer. How I [10:48] can tell you how the the computer work [10:50] but pray is also dealing with a riddle. [10:56] Basically, when we pray, we have a we [10:58] have a we we have a quest [11:03] and then we try to we try to to bring or [11:08] to pull [11:10] a [11:12] unknown [11:14] erh [11:16] intention unknown I would say [11:20] I don't know even how to define it [11:22] unknown [11:24] unrevealed [11:27] um secrets to help us [11:31] to make it [11:33] happen. [11:35] This quest [11:42] it's what did she do here? What what was [11:46] this action? It's an action of of that [11:49] you are going somehow beyond yourself [11:55] and you you devote yourself to this [11:58] quest and to the feeling that there is a [12:02] bigger thing up there that that you [12:05] don't that you cannot really see and you [12:08] ask [12:10] and I would say that from the outside [12:14] for for rational people it looks weird. [12:19] So it's it's again acknowledging [12:22] that there is something beyond this [12:26] reality. [12:27] >> It's again it's the same. It's it's [12:29] >> Yeah. It sounds like a real pattern what [12:30] you're saying is there's different [12:34] pathways and doorways to access the [12:37] inaccessible. [12:38] >> Exactly. [12:38] >> And this is one of them through speech. [12:40] >> Yeah. Yeah. access the in the access [12:44] accessing the in inaccessible and yet [12:47] knows that in a after one minute it will [12:50] be inaccessible again. [12:52] >> So you got to [12:53] >> so it's [12:57] it you you go there and then it [13:00] disappears. You go there and then it's [13:02] this is the work. [13:04] >> What is Torah study? [13:07] >> Wow. This is an amazing thing to you [13:11] know this is the thing from the zor that [13:17] was was praising before he he left his [13:22] >> body [13:22] >> his body he was saying or he was crying [13:26] and he was kissing the the earth and [13:29] then he say [13:35] you are the light of the whole world [13:42] So many so many different paths of [13:45] water, you know, like like lakes and and [13:49] seas and rivers and and fountains. So [13:53] many different kind are [13:58] are rising from you to all different [14:02] directions. So we can learn about [14:04] studying Torah about this [14:11] You are you are my beloved. So it's [14:13] almost when when we learn Torah, we are [14:16] almost like making love. We are in an [14:19] intimate relationship. [14:22] We are in an intimate relationship with [14:24] a high knowledge. This is amazing. It's [14:28] not just to take a book and to and to [14:30] gain information. [14:32] It's a [14:34] it's Yeah. It's entering [14:38] it's entering something which is beyond [14:41] us. [14:43] >> Wow. [14:44] >> It's entering a riddle because how you [14:48] can you can study the same thing over [14:51] and over and over and over and over [14:54] again and every time [14:58] you you will feel that you are not that [15:00] you are you are not done. [15:02] It's it's unbelievable. [15:04] >> It's limitless. Yeah. It's another [15:06] pathway. [15:06] >> Yeah. And and this is an example, you [15:08] know, this is an example of what we just [15:10] spoke. It's an example of the limitless [15:14] within the limits. [15:15] >> Yeah. [15:16] >> Because it's a text. It's a book. [15:18] >> It's it's something that doesn't. [15:21] >> Exactly. [15:21] >> Cuz when you open it, it's closed. When [15:22] you close. [15:23] >> Exactly. Amazing. You see, you are [15:26] >> listening. [15:26] >> Yeah. [15:27] >> And learning. [15:27] >> Yeah. [15:28] >> So, what about um men and women? Does [15:30] Jewish mysticism view them as the same? [15:33] >> No. the Zohor is is talking a lot about [15:36] the feminine side and the and the male [15:38] side. So so uh you know it's it's a it's [15:43] like the right and the left [15:46] the right side and the left side in a in [15:48] in in our body. [15:51] It's about creation also. It's the [15:54] meeting point maybe we between two h two [15:59] directions that creates something new. [16:03] So each the male and the female offer [16:06] something different and new and together [16:07] it creates some type of harmony. [16:10] >> It's not it's together together they [16:13] create a new creature. [16:16] >> It's it's more than that. It's about [16:18] >> is that offensive for someone today that [16:20] think like you know we want to say women [16:22] and men are the same or is feminine [16:24] masculine different to women and men in [16:26] this sense? I think that the feminist [16:29] women, the feminist movement did a a big [16:33] um [16:35] nez harm damage to femininity [16:40] because h femininity is not about being [16:44] a man. [16:47] power. The power of the woman comes [16:50] within different place [16:53] and we we should we should connect to [16:55] our to our power within our [17:00] uh nature. We don't have to be like [17:03] somebody like men and you know what [17:08] when [17:10] somebody is when something is unbalanced [17:13] in the women the man is also unbalanced [17:16] because we we are connected. When [17:19] something is go like this this goes like [17:21] this and this go like this. In order [17:24] that it will be like this, each one [17:27] should be fully completed and then it [17:31] will completely h [17:35] react on the the other. [17:39] >> Yeah. [17:39] >> The other depend on each other because [17:41] it needs to be masculinity needs to tap [17:44] into its essence. [17:45] >> Exactly. [17:46] >> Exactly. Exactly. And it's a riddle [17:48] again because our life now got so messed [17:51] up. So, we need to find again what [17:54] femininity is and what does it mean to [17:56] be a man? We we need to to find it [18:00] again. [18:01] >> Should Judaism be hard or easy? [18:05] >> Wow. [18:07] Erh [18:10] you know h the the the question of what [18:14] is hard and what is easy because easy in [18:18] what one hand means not to do anything [18:21] and everything will come and hard means [18:24] that really to work hard and I believe [18:28] that it should be both [18:30] >> to be hard and easy. [18:31] >> Yeah I think it should be you you should [18:34] work in it. Yeah, [18:35] >> you should work. You should put the [18:37] effort. But but that's the beauty of [18:40] life. [18:41] God gave us everything [18:44] and it's our responsibility if we are [18:47] doing something with it or not. And then [18:50] once you work hard or I don't know hard [18:52] once you work then it becomes easy. [18:56] >> Wow. So it should be hard in order to [18:58] become easy. [18:59] >> Yeah. Exactly. It's very it's very hard [19:02] to live to be easy, you know. [19:05] >> Yeah. According to effort is the rule. [19:08] >> Exactly. [19:09] >> Why would God create the world? [19:11] >> Why did Hashem make all of this? [19:14] >> You know, I how can I know? I mean I I [19:18] have to ask him, but I can just imagine. [19:21] >> Well, based on the mysticism. [19:22] >> Yeah. I mean, based based on the [19:25] mysticism, they say a lot of things [19:27] about that. It's a very deeper question [19:31] but [19:34] um Shashua [19:37] playing [19:39] it's it's [19:40] >> God was just playing [19:42] >> God [19:44] >> he's just playing that's why [19:47] >> that's why we should connect to this [19:50] element also of the in in our life of [19:55] the [19:55] >> doesn't that sound like flimsy doesn't [19:57] it sound like whimsical like God just [19:59] created the world cuz it was clean. [20:01] Isn't that weird? [20:02] >> It's about I think it's about joy. [20:04] >> It's about joy. It's about It's about [20:07] curiosity. It's about curiosity. It's [20:10] about joy. It's about [20:13] game in in in the good side of it. Not [20:17] not in the sense that I'm I'm [20:20] fooling around. It's about the joy. You [20:23] know being here offers us amazing [20:28] things, a lot of joy. [20:31] >> Yeah. [20:31] >> And when we connect with with this thing [20:35] in a highway, we connect with with [20:40] him because he that's what he does here. [20:44] >> Can we do something against God's will? [20:47] Oh wow. [20:52] Actually not. [20:54] I mean it's very you know it's I'm [20:57] really I'm really [21:01] have to be careful when I say it. Of [21:04] course we can. I mean in orthodox way in [21:07] the in the [21:09] cons conservative way. Yes. He was he [21:11] was telling you not to do this and he [21:14] was telling you not to do this and you [21:16] should do this and not this but in a [21:19] deep sense and this is why you are [21:21] asking [21:25] I believe that God is everywhere [21:29] and if I believe that he's everywhere so [21:32] if I'm doing something which which is [21:36] like not good it's I'm going to have [21:40] this this [21:43] I'm going to [21:47] >> it's going to influence me. [21:48] >> It's it's going I'm going to [21:50] >> be influenced [21:51] >> to be influenced by by it. So So it's a [21:56] part of him also [21:59] because everything is we we we want to [22:02] experiment. We want to learn. [22:04] >> What do you think of when you hear the [22:06] word Messiah? What is this messianic [22:09] era? [22:10] >> Wow. You know, so again if I'm going to [22:13] the letters Mashiach again meshin on the [22:16] opposite direction. Okay. Me earth shin [22:22] it comes from earth connects with the [22:24] sky with the upper world machine. And [22:27] then we have the yud and the hat. And [22:30] the yud and the hat has to do with life. [22:32] Haim high. [22:34] So Mashiach is going to connect connect [22:40] the Hashem [22:42] with within life [22:45] in a new way. [22:48] I mean I hope [22:49] >> what is that going to look like? Do we [22:51] know? [22:52] >> No. [22:53] >> But you know what's going to happen? [22:54] >> I think uh I think uh it can happen [22:57] every moment and it happens every [22:59] moment. We have moments of of Msiah in [23:03] our life that it happens stuck. [23:06] >> Is the state of Israel part of the [23:08] messianic era? Is it you know leading [23:11] towards the redemption? [23:12] >> According to the Bible, it does. [23:15] >> What is the greatest challenge facing [23:17] the world today? [23:19] >> Wow. [23:22] Maybe I don't know if it's the greatest. [23:24] There are many cha challenges to [23:26] understand what is femininity, what is a [23:29] man and what is a woman. [23:31] >> Really? [23:31] >> Yeah. I think if we if we solve it, if [23:35] if we heal heal it, we are doing a lot [23:38] of healing into the world. [23:41] >> Very interesting. [23:42] >> Because you know all of those wars, all [23:45] of those wars in the world, it's it's a [23:48] it's a lot of masculine energy. [23:52] And uh what does it mean if we can bring [23:55] more more of the other energy into into [23:58] this world? And I don't know I I mean [24:01] it's not that I have the solution but I [24:04] feel that this is one of the challenges [24:07] that uh would be very nice to solve. How [24:10] is modernity [24:12] >> but but also connects with the nature [24:14] you know th those things also connects [24:16] with a a global warming and and [24:20] connecting with the nature and healing [24:22] of the nature the the earth is is the is [24:25] is a feminine side you know so you you [24:29] can see the unbalanced between [24:33] femininity and ma mass masculine [24:35] >> expressed in the world [24:36] >> expressed in everything [24:39] And how has modernity changed Jewish [24:42] mysticism? [24:43] >> Ah wow. [snorts] Um first it's very easy [24:48] that now you don't have to know all of [24:50] those pages by by heart you know you [24:54] just click it and then you see it. So uh [24:57] it's a big change. You don't you you [25:00] less and less need to me memorize. [25:03] >> You don't need to hold it in order that [25:06] it will not get lost. It is there. It is [25:09] stoaged. You know all of those years we [25:12] we we made a lot of effort to remember [25:15] it to to memorize it to hold it. And [25:19] from here we need to ask ourselves as [25:22] scholars. [25:24] So what what shall we do now? [25:27] >> Meaning it's it's making us ask a new [25:29] question. It's asking a new question of [25:31] >> asking a new question. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [25:34] what what should I do now in order to to [25:37] get into the the new level? What does it [25:40] mean? [25:41] >> So it's almost like there was like an [25:43] extra weight off our shoulders that we [25:45] can just focus now on the mysticism [25:47] itself. Not [25:47] >> exactly not on holding it. [25:50] >> Beautiful. What is unique to Jewish [25:52] mysticism among the other mysticisms [25:54] that you've studied? [25:55] >> I would say because I saw other mystic [25:58] uh practices in in the world. What what [26:02] is very special that I see in the Jewish [26:04] mysticism is that [26:10] it is very connected to the everyday [26:13] life. [26:15] We are not neglecting the everyday life. [26:18] the the we don't want to sit in a [26:22] mountain and leave every all of those uh [26:26] other people be there and just to [26:30] to have an overview. [26:33] We are here we are here with them. We [26:37] are here within life and within life we [26:41] are doing all everything we need to [26:43] survive to to eat to drink to work [26:48] to sleep. But everything that we do [26:53] in the in the Judaism we are connecting [26:56] to a high purpose to this higher [27:01] perspective. [27:02] >> Amazing. Does one need to be religious [27:05] to study Jewish mysticism? [27:08] >> Wow, [27:10] this is very interesting questions. [27:13] Question [27:16] first, who am I to say? I I will not say [27:19] h yes or no because who am I to say but [27:23] but I can definitely tell you that when [27:26] I I meet people that are practicing [27:31] Judaism in a deep sense when they learn [27:34] Jewish mysticism it's it it it [27:38] definitely makes makes more sense. Yeah, [27:42] >> this is for sure to learn Jewish [27:45] mysticism without practicing it. It's [27:48] more intellectual. It's a different way. [27:51] It's a different path. [27:53] >> Can mysticism be dangerous? [27:55] >> Yes, definitely. [27:57] >> In what ways? [28:00] And I mean you can enter the parades and [28:03] and [28:04] >> so you're referring to the talmudic [28:06] passage. Yeah. [28:07] >> Four individuals went into an orchard [28:09] and some didn't come out alive. [28:11] >> Exactly. So so it's very important and [28:14] and that's why we are connecting our [28:17] mitzvot with everyday life. It's very [28:20] important to be grounded. For some [28:22] people it's very hard when they go into [28:24] this mysticism. [28:26] >> Why? When you go into the mysticism, you [28:29] find [28:30] >> it connects with your constitution. [28:32] >> What does that mean? [28:33] >> The constitution of of of some people, [28:36] some people are very grounded. Some [28:39] people easily get lost. [28:42] >> What What about you? When you're in a [28:43] deep mystical state, do you find it hard [28:45] to come back to the normal world? [28:48] >> I find that uh h me personally, I find [28:52] that I need to work a lot on grounding [28:55] myself. It's not easy for me. For me, [28:58] the task is not to go high, but to go [29:01] down. Amazing. [29:02] >> You know, some people are like that. [29:05] >> How has Jewish mysticism affected your [29:08] relationship with yourself and others? [29:10] It's a lot about relationships. How has [29:13] it practically had that impact in your [29:15] life? [29:16] um in many different ways [29:22] in every second of my life I would say h [29:27] I feel I feel entities [29:30] that are within surrounding me that I'm [29:33] in dialogue with them [29:37] many many [29:39] special moments in my life [29:41] >> what do you mean entities people or not [29:44] just people [29:45] >> I give Not just people. [29:46] >> What are the inter people that used to [29:49] be people? [29:50] >> Souls. [29:50] >> Souls. [29:51] >> So you connect to souls that [29:53] >> I can give you an example. So so we you [29:55] will understand. [29:56] >> As a singer, I was invited sometimes I'm [30:00] invited to sing in many places in the [30:02] world and in in many of those places [30:06] when I go especially in Europe, I go to [30:10] the cemeteries of those places. So I was [30:13] in maga minds [30:17] >> to to perform. It has nothing to do with [30:20] going to the cemetery to the Jewish [30:22] cemetery. And then they told me, you [30:24] know, there is a very special Jewish [30:25] cemetery. Da da da da da da da da da da [30:26] da da da da. I went there. [30:30] It was sealed. The cemetery was sealed. [30:34] Nobody could enter. And I felt that I [30:36] need to go. So I jumped. I went inside [30:39] and I found myself alone. alone [30:43] in in in inside the cemetery and and and [30:46] I really felt that when I'm using my [30:49] voice and saying is at the same place [30:55] I'm in dialogue [30:58] with the souls. [31:01] It was very powerful. [31:03] I could see the names. I went I I was I [31:06] was reading taleim some portions of [31:11] taleim near [31:11] >> the psalms [31:12] >> the psalms yeah and and then I I saw [31:16] that it's very late that I need to go [31:20] to perform so I jumped again back [31:23] running to my uh [31:25] >> performance [31:26] >> performance and I I would tell you I [31:29] really felt that there is shauval [31:34] erh Rabanim [31:36] like a [31:37] >> not a fox. [31:38] >> No, no, no. Like a pomalia. [31:43] Pam, like a group of [31:45] >> like a group of rabbis [31:46] >> of rabbis of souls [31:48] >> following me in the back. It was so [31:51] powerful. It was so powerful. Okay, [31:54] maybe I imagined it. Rational people [31:57] say, "Oh, you're an artist. You have a [31:59] very beautiful You have a very beautiful [32:01] imagination. You can sing. You can say [32:03] but I really felt it. So this is this is [32:06] how [32:08] and and sometimes I reminded to myself [32:12] and they are still with me. [32:13] >> Is it difficult? So, so it's a [32:15] relationship you know even when you when [32:18] you when you learn [32:20] okay so you I mean men they they learn [32:25] more than women we we know but [32:27] >> tradition [32:28] >> but sometimes but sometimes some people [32:31] I'm sure they have a special [32:32] relationships with specific figures [32:37] it's a it's like you're having Jewish [32:39] mysticism in your everyday life allows [32:43] you to open the gate to be in dialogue [32:45] with souls that are not from here and [32:48] now. And it's very clear. [32:51] >> Does it bother you? Like someone like [32:53] me, I'm very rational and very in that [32:56] sense. And to me, I can't imagine [32:59] experiencing that. Um, [33:00] >> you can't imagine [33:02] >> on on a personal level going through [33:03] that experience. I've definitely felt [33:05] things that are beyond this world. [33:07] >> But you felt [33:08] >> I have definitely felt, but it takes a [33:10] very special person to jump over a [33:12] cemetery. [33:13] >> Yeah. to experience this to be running [33:15] back to feel that [33:17] >> um [33:17] >> is that [33:18] >> that's why I said that each one has his [33:20] different constitution [33:22] each one has his own path. [33:24] >> Yeah. And there's something very [33:26] powerful about leaning into that. [33:27] >> Exactly. You you you should not be like [33:30] like anyone else. You just have to [33:33] listen to connect with your shama and it [33:36] will lead you. So the last question, [33:39] we've talked a lot about Jewish [33:40] mysticism, a lot about different [33:42] teachings. I'd like to ask you to [33:44] conclude with one teaching. What's one [33:46] idea or powerful teaching that you take [33:48] with you or something that comes to mind [33:49] right now from Jewish mysticism? [33:53] >> It can be from Seviet letters or [33:55] >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [33:58] Every letter in the Jewish in the every [34:01] letter from from our language in the [34:05] Hebrew Hebrew language is an entity [34:08] and every letter is a sound and every [34:12] letter connects with another organ in [34:15] the body. So basically [34:19] when I walk the 22 letters are within me [34:24] and uh this is a very beautiful practice [34:27] because I can go through the whole al [34:29] alphabet [34:31] >> and scanning my my body and and [34:38] vibrating the sound. [34:40] >> Is this taught in the sei [34:43] >> in the book of creation? In the book of [34:44] creation, every letter is mapped in [34:47] another or organ in the body. [34:49] >> Can you give us one example of one [34:50] letter and which organ it represents? [34:52] >> Yeah, I think yeah, we can do for [34:56] example the alf. [34:58] >> The al if it's in the chest. [35:01] It's here. And the al if is the abstract [35:04] world because it it it f it opens into [35:10] all of the directions. [35:13] It's the abstract world and it's here. [35:15] >> When you say the abstract world, it's [35:16] the one of the four worlds in that [35:18] sense. [35:18] >> It's the No, I mean it's the unconrete [35:22] world. [35:22] >> Okay. [35:23] >> The the meeting point between the alif [35:26] and the bet is the meeting point between [35:30] the abstract and the concrete. [35:32] >> Okay. [35:32] >> Because the bet is the deboo [35:35] what we do now. But the alf is the [35:38] silence [35:40] and the voice. They're talking about it [35:42] a lot in the zor. The voice [singing] [35:51] it's a different thing than when I'm [35:53] talking. It's the abstract word. It's [35:55] the it's like like the pure pure pure [35:59] essence [36:01] of the vibration of life. [36:05] And then we can talk. [36:08] >> And why is it the chest? [36:09] >> I don't know why that's what is it is re [36:12] written. But from the chest, I mean the [36:14] chest are the are the heart is the [36:16] heartbeat. It's the neca. It's the the [36:20] the point the deep inner point of our [36:25] life right now. [36:28] >> Well, Victoria, thank you so much for [36:30] sharing today. It's fascinating how you [36:33] don't just learn intellectually, but you [36:35] embody um sematically through the voice, [36:38] through the vibrations, and through all [36:40] the artistry you do. And we um give you [36:43] a blessing that you continue to share [36:45] that with the world. I really feel that [36:47] we need to to bring to bring [36:51] the this amazing ancient knowledge to [36:55] its source and to connect with our body [36:58] that our body is the Mishkan is the beta [37:01] mikdash. [37:01] >> It's a tabernacle. It's the [37:03] >> Yeah. And we need and we need to to dive [37:06] in to pray to study to learn to to [37:10] reveal [37:12] >> Yeah. to have revelation within [37:15] our body [37:17] >> because that's the vehicle. [37:18] >> Yeah. [37:19] >> Thank you so much.
