Transcript [00:00] Zack Bryan walked out on stage um in a [00:03] t-shirt with sleeves cut off across the [00:05] front. It says, "Free Palestine and [00:07] underneath a pine tree and four words, [00:11] an appeal to heaven." He wore that same [00:13] shirt again on Saturday in front of [00:15] 73,000 people. I hope he washed it. [00:18] Biggest crowd that the stadium has ever [00:20] held. Members of his band wore [00:22] Palestinian jerseys. same stadium whose [00:26] owner kept Mackmore off of Ed Sheeran's [00:28] stage about a month ago. Now, he hasn't [00:31] explained it. He hasn't said anything, [00:33] but he doesn't have to. The church, the [00:36] the shirt has two sentences on it, and [00:38] they're arguing with each other, but [00:41] Zack Bryan, no offense to him, [00:44] is not well educated enough to [00:48] understand they're diametrically opposed [00:51] to each other. [00:53] So, he served eight years in the United [00:55] States Navy. I don't think he's a bad [00:57] man. I don't think he's anything but a [00:58] patriot. I don't. He just doesn't know [01:00] what he's doing because he can't put [01:02] those two things and on the same shirt [01:04] and have them make sense. They're [01:05] diametrically opposed. So, [01:08] [clears throat] [01:09] let me show you how we've been here [01:10] before. What is the appeal to heaven? [01:13] That's the white flag appeal to heaven [01:15] with the pine tree on it. What is that? [01:20] We've we've been here before. a people [01:21] with no court on earth to hear them [01:24] asking whether they had the right to [01:27] fight whether they had a right to to [01:30] live and be free on land. [01:33] October 1775, George Washington has the [01:36] British bottled up in Boston. No navy. [01:39] We have no navy. So, he rents a few [01:41] fishing schooners out of Marblehead. Uh, [01:43] and he's going to grab the British [01:45] supply ships, but they need a flag. They [01:49] don't have one. So his own secretary [01:50] says, "White flag, green pine tree, and [01:53] those four words, appeal to heaven." [01:56] Three words, appeal to heaven. No, [01:59] appeal to it and appeal to I don't [02:01] remember. Anyway, that's what it says. [02:03] Massachusetts, [02:05] they keep them on their maritime flag [02:07] until 1971. It's a well-known flag. The [02:11] words come from John Lockach, the [02:12] philosopher. The founders read this guy [02:14] like a manual. Okay? And Lach asked a [02:17] simple question. when a people um and a [02:20] ru a a man ruling them have a quarrel, [02:23] there's no court on earth that can [02:25] settle that because the ruling guy owns [02:27] the court. So, how do you do it? Who [02:28] judges this? Lock's answer comes from [02:32] the scriptures and it was you appeal to [02:34] heaven. [02:36] And to show what he meant, he didn't [02:38] reach for Greece or Rome. He reached for [02:40] the book of Judges. [02:42] There's a man named Jeepa in the uh in [02:45] the scriptures. He's an outcast. He's a [02:47] son of a harlot. He's thrown out by his [02:49] own brothers. Then the Ammonites march [02:52] on Israel and the same elders who ran [02:55] him off come begging him to lead. And [02:57] the first thing he does is not fight. He [02:59] writes a letter. The king of Ammon says, [03:02] "Give me back my land." And Jeepa says, [03:04] "Well, wait, wait, wait, wait. We didn't [03:06] take it from you. We've lived here for [03:08] 300 years. Why didn't you say anything, [03:11] you know, until now? You're marching an [03:12] army on us." What? What? And he closes [03:14] the letter by saying, "The Lord the [03:18] judge be judge this day between the [03:20] children of Israel and the children of [03:23] Ammon." That's the original appeal to [03:25] heaven. So, it comes from [03:28] Jewish uh writings and Jewish history. [03:31] Kind of hard to make that work with the [03:33] Palestinian thing, but anyway, he cho he [03:37] chooses this. Okay, that's why it ends [03:39] up on Washington's flag. a leader of [03:42] Israel asking God to judge whether his [03:44] people had the right to stand on their [03:46] own land against a neighbor who wanted [03:48] them gone. [03:50] So Zach is wearing that on the chest and [03:52] it works. But not underneath free [03:54] Palestine [03:56] cuz let me read that sentence the way [03:58] the loudest voices read it. In 2017, [04:02] Hamas rewrote its charter. 2017. It [04:07] rejects any alternative to the [04:10] liberation of Palestine from the river [04:12] to the sea. [04:14] The Jordan to the Mediterranean. River [04:17] to the sea. You have to understand that [04:19] means there is no Israel. There is not a [04:22] Jew from Jordan to the Mediterranean. [04:25] Hamas ch everybody's talking about a [04:28] two-state solution. Hamas does not want [04:30] one. [04:31] Okay, that's what they're chanting at [04:34] these marches from the river to the sea. [04:36] That means annihilate all Jews. [04:40] Now, how are you going to do that? Let's [04:41] play that out in your head. You think [04:42] they're going to happily move? No, [04:45] you're going to have to kill the Jews. [04:48] So, please don't talk to me about [04:49] humanitarian stuff. [04:52] This week, 3 years ago, speaking of [04:54] humanitarian moments, we saw instead of [04:58] of what things look like, we saw what [05:01] actually happens. 1,200 people killed in [05:05] a single day, 251 dragged into into Gaza [05:09] as hostages, women raped, babies raped. [05:13] The United Nations envoy even finds [05:16] reasonable grounds that all of these [05:17] things happen. You don't have to ask the [05:19] UN. They proudly posted it. They filmed [05:23] it and posted it online in real time. [05:28] I mean, hello. One of them called his [05:31] parents from a murdered woman's phone to [05:33] brag that he had just killed 10 Jews [05:35] with his own hands and his mom is [05:37] praising God. Now, how do you appeal to [05:40] heaven for that? [05:42] I mean, you don't even hide what you're [05:45] you're not ashamed of anything. You post [05:47] it. You're proud of it. [05:51] So Lock saw this coming. The appeal to [05:53] heaven was never a blank check. He wrote [05:56] that anyone who appeals to heaven must [05:59] be sure [06:01] he has right on his side because he will [06:04] answer it at the tribunal that cannot be [06:07] deceived. So you can be deceived. I can [06:10] be deceived. A judge can be deceived. [06:12] But God will not be deceived. [06:16] The appeal doesn't only judge your [06:18] enemy, by the way. It judges you, too. [06:21] Heaven isn't a crowd. It's the ultimate [06:24] court. [06:26] So, understand this. You You want to [06:30] say, "I appeal to heaven and the Jews [06:33] want to do it, too." Well, let me tell [06:34] you something. You know, there are [06:36] Israel who have chanted death to Arabs [06:39] in a march in Jerusalem. [06:44] Israel's president condemned it. [06:47] That's a mob a nation is ashamed of and [06:50] should be. And I reject anyone on either [06:54] side saying things like that. I wouldn't [06:57] support the Jews saying from uh you know [07:00] from the river to the sea, no Arabs. No, [07:04] you're talking genocide. [07:06] Real genocide. [07:10] And plenty of people on the other side, [07:12] you know, are thinking about the [07:13] children in Gaza and not a map. I [07:16] understand that. But you must educate [07:19] yourself. You know, the little girl in [07:21] Gaza that was killed, real grief. [07:25] The drummer [07:26] of Brian's band, that's who he was [07:29] honoring. [07:30] You can want Palestine to be free. Most [07:34] Israelis want the same thing, just not [07:36] at the price of their own existence. [07:40] That's the difference. [07:42] By the way, Israel has two million Arab [07:45] citizens. Did you know that? It's it's [07:47] not an aparttheid state. How does a how [07:49] does a country have 2 million Arab [07:51] citizens living and working right there [07:54] amongst them? An Arab justice sits on [07:57] their Supreme Court. Imagine if Israel's [08:00] chartered promised a land with no [08:01] Muslims in it. Every campus in America [08:04] would know the words by heart. [08:07] that they don't know what's happening in [08:08] Palestine. [08:11] So, here's what this means. [08:14] Never ask heaven to judge your enemy [08:16] until you're ready for heaven to judge [08:18] you. [08:20] Jeep was ready. [08:22] He made his case in writing before he [08:24] picked up a sword. The men who crossed [08:27] the fence three years ago this week were [08:30] not ready. They were proud, boastful, [08:34] and bloodthirsty killers. [08:37] So, Zach, if I may say, I don't hate [08:41] you. I I don't think you have any ill [08:44] will in you. I don't know you. But it's [08:47] hard to use an Old Testament story about [08:49] the Jews to push for the end of the [08:52] Jews. [08:54] But you're probably like most Americans. [08:56] You don't know our own history. [09:00] So, let me leave it at this. You're [09:02] halfright. Freedom is worth fighting [09:05] for. And the Palestinian people deserve [09:08] to be free as long as they're not [09:13] pushing for or celebrating [09:16] violent killing and death. [09:20] Here's where they Palestinians need to [09:21] be free. Free from Hamas, which dug its [09:25] war underneath their homes and their [09:27] schools and their hospitals. put that on [09:30] a t-shirt because I think heaven will [09:33] hear that appeal. Okay, we need to talk. [09:35] Apparently, about half of the people [09:37] watching this right now are not [09:38] subscribed to this channel. I mean, it's [09:40] not like you're one of those pe people, [09:42] right? I mean, you're not the problem. [09:46] You might want to hit the button. See? [09:49] See? You're not the problem. Don't you [09:50] feel better? Right.
