How do Israeli elections actually work? 🇮🇱 On October 27, Israelis will head to the polls. But unlike in the US, they're not voting directly for their next prime minister. They're voting for political parties. So how does Israel choose its next government? Here's the process
Brad Lander is running for Congress in New York. With Election Day less than two weeks away, he’s in the West Bank picking olives and filming campaign content. He says the trip is about exposing the “reality of the occupation.” But the timing makes the political calculation
Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank haven’t voted in legislative elections since 2006. Meanwhile, Arab citizens of Israel, who make up roughly 21% of the population, vote in Israeli elections just like every other citizen, as they have throughout Israel’s history.🧵

UK, Australia, Canada, and France recognized a Palestinian state after Mahmoud Abbas promised elections in 2026. He just postponed them again, to 2027. Pay-for-slay continues under a new name. School textbooks still glorify terrorists and reject a two-state solution.
Peter Beinart defended Brad Lander’s West Bank olive-harvest stunt by comparing him to the Jews who went to Mississippi for Freedom Summer. The Palestinians Beinart champions did not respond to their circumstances with nonviolent marches. They responded with kidnappings, suicide
Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s own memorial film shows Muhammad Nabil al-Zaq adjusting a professional camera. Then it cuts to him training with a rifle, wearing Military Media insignia, and standing in armed formation. He identifies himself as “a son of the Al-Quds Brigades.” The
Brad Lander’s West Bank olive-harvesting publicity stunt. Palestinian flags at violent protests in France. Hamas banners at rallies marking the October 7 massacre. And a media narrative that increasingly treats Israeli society itself as the problem, regardless of who wins the
With Election Day approaching, Brad Lander chose to visit the West Bank to pick olives and accuse Israel of ethnic cleansing rather than campaign in his own district. He has opposed Iron Dome funding and advocated alliances with anti-Zionists, yet was still denounced as a

6/ ABC News Australia says Israel struck Syria “in support of the Druze,” and that “some see Israel as protectors.” It’s framed as Israel’s claim, and a matter of opinion. It leaves out why Druze might need protection. In July 2025, Syrian government forces entered Sweida. The

7/ ABC News Australia is entitled to scrutinize Israeli military operations, settlements and government policy. But analysis should distinguish temporary military control from sovereignty, settlements from buffer zones, and security measures from permanent territorial claims.

3/ The article says Israel’s security zones are “inside the borders of neighbouring sovereign nations.” True, but it barely grapples with why: Hezbollah used southern Lebanon as a launchpad, Hamas embedded itself throughout Gaza, and Iran-backed militias operated in Syria.

4/ ABC News Australia then says Israel now “controls” at least 2,490 sq km across Syria, Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank. But that headline number lumps fundamentally different things together: wartime military positions, buffer zones, disputed territory and Israeli settlements.

5/ Then comes the ideological insinuation. ABC News Australia invokes “extreme, religious elements” seeking a vast biblical Israel before claiming the “more mainstream view, including that held by the governing Likud Party,” extends to all of the West Bank “and perhaps also

1/ In a sprawling new feature, ABC News Australia recasts Israel’s defensive buffer zones, set up after a multi-front war launched by Hamas and widened by Hezbollah and Iran-backed forces, as a story about Israel “redrawing the map.” The bias starts right in the headline and

2/ Then we have the opening paragraph - the horrific Hamas invasion, massacres, and mass kidnappings on Oct 7 are dispatched in a single matter-of-fact sentence, yet Israel’s defensive response is immediately branded a "ferocious and grinding war." Why is the language so

2:31▶ 873A co-pilot allegedly tried to hijack a plane headed to Israel, stabbed the captain, and sent the aircraft plunging thousands of feet. The captain managed to open the cockpit door. A passenger rushed in, subdued the attacker, and helped level the plane. Other passengers tied him up with earphone cables while a dentist treated the captain’s wounds. There were 174 people on board, including 30 children. Two extra pilots happened to be on the flight and safely landed the plane in Saudi Arabia. Hours later, the passengers continued to Israel under fighter-jet escort. Yet major outlets were still downplaying what happened, calling it a “violent incident” or a “fight between pilots.” Online, the reaction was just as disturbing, with comments flooded by false-flag conspiracies and blatant antisemitism. When Jews are the targets, even an attempted plane hijacking becomes fodder for conspiracies, excuses, and outright Jew hate.

1:03▶ 650Flying from Israel to the Netherlands? Check your suitcase. A new Dutch ban applies not just to commercial imports, but to travelers carrying goods made, even partly, in Israeli settlements. That means souvenirs, gifts, and personal items in your luggage can be stopped at the border. When a trade ban reaches into tourists’ suitcases, the question becomes: where does trade policy end and discrimination begin? #israel #netherlands #bias

2:24▶ 2KApartheid state. Genocide. Ethnic cleansing. Those accusations might sound like they belong to the war in Gaza, but they have been thrown at Israel for much longer than you might expect. They were standardized in 2001 at a gathering of NGOs, including Amnesty and Human Rights Watch. It was supposed to be a conference against racism, taking place in newly post-apartheid South Africa. Instead, it became a forum dripping in Jew hate. They sold copies of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and voted down a paragraph condemning antisemitism. The US and Israel walked out. Today, 25 years later, the UN General Assembly is giving Durban a full day of commemoration. Watch who shows up, and ask: why is the UN still celebrating this?

1:57▶ 21.9KMotaz Azaiza has been platformed around the world as a trusted voice from Gaza. But the more he says in his own words, the more damning the picture becomes. October 7. Israeli hostages. Hamas. Gaza’s media ecosystem. And that’s only part of it. Watch the full breakdown. #mediabias #gaza #motazazaiza

1:13▶ 2KHow did global media decide Israel was the biggest killer of journalists? One man had a lot to do with it. Because before a statistic can become a headline, someone has to supply the list of names. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) is one of the most frequently cited sources for the Committee to Protect Journalists’ (CPJ) database of slain media workers. PJS’s president, Nasser Abu Bakr has publicly praised Palestinian gunmen who murdered Israelis as “heroes” and “lions.” And when someone in Gaza is killed, he has the power to name them a journalist. That matters when information supplied by his organization makes its way into databases that are then cited by some of the world’s biggest newsrooms. Our investigation found documented terror-group ties for more than half of the journalists on CPJ’s list. Visit our link in bio to read the full exposé. Presenter: @Jacob

1:30▶ 1.5KCultural appropriation used to get you cancelled in seconds. But when the keffiyeh became a staple of Western pro-Palestinian protests? Suddenly, nobody seemed too worried. It’s a traditional Arab garment with centuries of history that became a symbol of Palestinian nationalism in the 20th century. So why did the rules change? #media #appropriation #bias

2:02▶ 1.5KThis week’s debunking: Guterres’ Gaza claim vs. other wars on his watch, the viral story about Netanyahu “fleeing” JFK because of Mayor Mamdani, and Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed refusing to directly condemn Iran’s IRGC. Three viral moments. A lot of missing context. Let’s get into it. #journalism #media #context

1:52▶ 662CPJ just audited its Gaza journalist database and removed 22 names. But major problems remain. Nearly 60 employees of terrorist-affiliated media outlets are still being counted as journalists, along with 13 “journo-jihadists” whose martyr posters were published by terrorist organizations. Yet CPJ’s numbers continue to fuel claims that Israel deliberately targets journalists. #media #journalists
