Staff Sergeant Ron Yonatan Roytman, aged 23, from Ashkelon, and Sergeant Yuval Shai Svilem, aged 20, from Hod Hasharon, were killed in a terror attack on Friday, the military announced. Roytman was a squad commander, and Slivem was a combat soldier in the Ari Battalion (775), Search and Rescue Brigade, according to the IDF. Both fell in combat at the Judea Junction when two terrorists traveling in a car with an M4 machine gun and a pistol opened fire on four soldiers who were on site. We hold their loved ones and all Israel in prayer; may their memory be a blessing.

No community should have to live behind armed guards, hide its identity, or wonder whether expressing pride in its heritage will make it a target. Yet for Jewish communities around the world, these concerns remain a daily reality. Standing against antisemitism means more than condemning violence after it happens. It means confronting the hatred, lies, and intimidation that make violence possible. At CUFI, we believe Jewish safety, dignity, and freedom are not negotiable. Antisemitism must be challenged wherever it appears, before hatred becomes violence.

Rebuilding Gaza is about more than bricks and mortar. It’s about who will control its future, who will fund its reconstruction, and whether Hamas will be allowed to regain its power. In this week’s CUFI Weekly, Kasim examines critical questions surrounding Gaza’s future, the role of regional powers, and why any lasting peace must prioritize Israel’s security and prevent the conditions that led to the horrific attacks on October 7, 2023, from recurring. Reconstruction without accountability is not a pathway to peace.

The State of Israel is more than a modern nation. It is the realization of generations of hope, faith, and an unbreakable connection between the Jewish people and their ancestral homeland. For centuries, prayers for a return to Zion endured through exile, persecution, and unimaginable hardship. In 1948, those prayers became a reality. Today, Israel stands as a testament to the resilience of the Jewish people and the enduring power of faith.

Peace cannot be built on deception. In this statement attributed to Fatah official Basel Abu Shahab, the two-state solution is described not as a pathway to coexistence, but as a trap for Israel. If peace is the goal, recognition, security, and genuine coexistence must be part of the conversation.

God’s promises are not temporary, and His faithfulness is not conditional on the changing opinions of the world. As Christians, our support for Israel is rooted in Scripture and our recognition of God’s enduring covenant with the Jewish people. We stand with Israel not because it is popular, but because our faith calls us to reject antisemitism and honor God’s faithfulness.

Europe knows where antisemitism can lead. Its history stands as a warning to every generation. Yet Jewish communities across Europe are once again confronting fear, hostility, and questions about their safety and belonging.

From Abraham and the prophets to the life and ministry of Jesus, the biblical narrative is deeply connected to the history and geography of ancient Israel. For Christians, studying this context is essential to understanding Scripture.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels are trying to build advanced medium-range ballistic missiles using parts delivered from China, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing an assessment by a British arms-tracking organization. The report came as a violent battle between a Saudi-led coalition and the Houthis has erupted in recent days, with missile strikes on airports and energy facilities across the kingdom. The latest round of fighting was triggered by Houthi strikes on Riyadh’s international airport over the weekend that left 13 people dead and operations suspended in the worst attack since 2015.

The hostages may be home, but their struggle did not simply end when captivity ended. For survivors like Luis Har, freedom came after experiencing what he describes simply as “hell.” The physical and psychological wounds of captivity remain. Families are rebuilding. Survivors are learning how to live again. And Israel continues to carry the scars of October 7. We cannot allow their stories to fade simply because the headlines have moved on. Remember what the hostages endured. Listen to those who survived. Remember those who never came home alive. Their stories must not be forgotten.

From the ancient world to the present day, Jewish communities have preserved their religious traditions, languages, literature, and collective identity through extraordinary historical change. The story of the Jewish people is not defined solely by persecution. It is also a story of continuity, creativity, and resilience.

The discovery was made ahead of plans to build a new neighborhood in southern Jerusalem, where archaeologists and planners hope to incorporate the remains into the future development, according to an announcement Sunday by the Israel Antiquities Authority. The discovery provides new information about the “engineering marvel” that once served as the city’s main water source, Benyamin Storchan, one of the site’s excavation directors, told The Times of Israel. The findings highlight a fascinating — but not very widely known — aspect of Jerusalem’s history, he added.

Standing with Israel is not simply a statement of support. It is a commitment rooted in faith, strengthened by conviction, and unwavering in the face of hatred. For decades, Pastor John Hagee has reminded the world that the Jewish people must never stand alone. At Christians United for Israel, that promise remains unchanged. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever. We stand with Israel. We stand with the Jewish people.

America and Israel know the devastating cost of terrorism. From attacks against Americans at home and abroad to the horrors Israelis have endured, terrorists seek the same thing: to murder the innocent, spread fear, and break the resolve of free people. They must never succeed. America and Israel share more than common enemies. We share a commitment to freedom, security, and the belief that terrorism must be confronted—not excused, justified, or ignored. When terrorists target America, we stand united. When terrorists target Israel, we stand with our ally.

Gaza Children Village, founded by Palestinian-American neurosurgeon Dr. David Hasan, intends to install AI-powered microphones in dozens of classrooms to detect language deemed “antisemitic,” “inciting” or “hateful,” according to an Associated Press report published Friday. The proposed system would analyze classroom discussions and alert Hasan to potentially problematic language, allowing him to review recordings and transcripts before contacting teachers. Recordings would be stored for 72 hours. “I know it’s controversial, but trust me, it’s the only way we feel for us to survive and deliver this curriculum,” Hasan told humanitarian organizations during a webinar last month, according to AP.

Scripture calls us to neither silence nor indifference when it comes to Zion and Jerusalem. Isaiah’s words remind us of a commitment that does not waver—a commitment to pray, to speak, and to stand faithfully with Israel and the Jewish people. For Zion’s sake, we will not be silent. For Jerusalem’s sake, we will not rest. Pray for Israel. Stand with Israel. Speak the truth.

Israel is debated, criticized, and scrutinized every day. But too often, the conversation goes beyond policies and politics and questions whether the Jewish state should exist at all. Israel, like every nation, can be debated and challenged. But the Jewish people’s right to self-determination should not be treated as uniquely negotiable. Understanding Israel begins with recognizing the difference between criticism and denying a people their right to a homeland.

Christianity did not emerge in a vacuum. Jesus was Jewish. His disciples were Jewish. The Hebrew Scriptures shaped the world in which they lived, taught, and worshiped. The story of Christianity is inseparable from the history of the Jewish people. Remembering these roots should deepen our understanding of our faith and our respect for the Jewish people. To understand Christianity, we must understand the Jewish roots from which it grew.

Some thank-yous deserve a billboard. 💗 TODAY, a bright pink JewBelong billboard goes up in San Antonio with a special message: “Dear Cornerstone Church, Your compassion for the Jewish community is a blessing. Thank you.” For decades, Cornerstone Church, Pastor John Hagee, and the entire Cornerstone community have stood proudly and unequivocally with Israel and the Jewish people. The past few years have been incredibly difficult for the Jewish community — and for the Christian allies who have refused to back down in the face of rising antisemitism. Through it all, Cornerstone has continued to stand with us. So we wanted to do something simple but meaningful: just to say THANK YOU. And as Cornerstone prepares for its #NightToHonorIsrael on October 25, we’re wishing everyone the most wonderful and meaningful event yet! From Archie and all of us at JewBelong, thank you for standing with the Jewish people. Your friendship means more than you know. 💗 📍 SAN ANTONIO FRIENDS! Our billboard is on the south side of Loop 1604, just east of Stone Oak Parkway, facing east, from October 12 through January 3! Spot it? Hatred rarely begins with violence. It begins with words that go unchallenged. Conspiracy theories that become normalized. Jewish communities being told their fears are exaggerated. And with every excuse, the boundaries of what society is willing to tolerate shift. History has shown us the consequences of allowing antisemitism to become acceptable. Standing against hatred means confronting it before it escalates, not simply condemning the aftermath. Silence is not neutrality when hatred is becoming normalized.

Antisemitism rarely begins with violence. It begins when lies are repeated until they become acceptable. Conspiracy theories about Jewish power. The rewriting of Jewish history. Holding Jews collectively responsible for Israel. Claims that Jews secretly control governments, media, or institutions. Words shape attitudes. Attitudes shape actions. History has shown us what can happen when antisemitic lies are normalized, excused, or left unanswered. That is why we must challenge them before hatred becomes something more dangerous. Speak the truth. Confront antisemitism. Stand with the Jewish people.

Whether confronting antisemitism, educating the next generation, advocating for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship, or standing alongside the Jewish people when they face hatred, CUFI remains committed to making its voice heard. Our support does not disappear when the headlines change

Through every trial, every threat, and every uncertain moment, the God of Israel remains watchful. He does not grow weary. He does not look away. He neither slumbers nor sleeps. As Christians, we stand in faith and continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for the protection of Israel, and for the Jewish people around the world.

Three years after the horrors of October 7, Kasim Hafeez reflects on what followed—not only the unimaginable pain inflicted on Israel, but the world's response. Unlike the global solidarity America experienced after 9/11, Israel faced condemnation and hostility almost immediately, even before its major military response began. But October 7 is not only a story of tragedy. It is also a story of the Israeli spirit: communities rebuilding, families persevering, a nation refusing to be defined by those who sought to destroy it, and a people choosing resilience in the face of extraordinary pain. This week, join us as we remember the lives stolen, reflect on the world's response, and honor the strength of a nation that continues to stand. Watch full episode now! https://lnkd.in/eQuf2U9V

The love of God calls us to love our neighbors—and to speak up when they face hatred. For Christians, confronting antisemitism is a responsibility rooted in our faith. That means challenging hateful claims, supporting our Jewish neighbors, and teaching the next generation to do the same. Let our words and actions reflect the love we profess.

Standing with Israel can invite criticism. Speaking against antisemitism can make you a target. Our responsibility to speak remains. As Christians, we are called to act with courage, speak with grace, and love our neighbors—even when it costs us something. Let conviction guide your voice. Stand with Israel. Speak up against antisemitism.

On October 8, Israel was still counting its dead. Families were still searching for the missing. Hostages were still being held captive in Gaza. And yet, before many victims had even been laid to rest, voices around the world were already making excuses for the atrocities of October 7. There is no justification for terrorism. There is no context that excuses the deliberate murder, kidnapping, and abuse of innocent people. We will not allow history to be rewritten. We will remember the victims. We will stand against antisemitism. And we will continue to speak the truth—clearly, courageously, and without apology.

Every number represents a human being. Someone with a name, a face, people they loved, and plans for tomorrow. Those murdered on October 7 had lives that should have continued. Those taken hostage had families waiting desperately for their return. Survivors carry memories no one should have to bear. Three years later, we remember their humanity, honor their lives, and stand beside their loved ones. May the memories of those murdered be a blessing.
